Will MCA Ministers demand in Cabinet on Wednesday the retraction of Internal Security Ministry Publications Control and Al-Quran Texts Unit “ban” to allow for responsible debate of Deputy Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najiib Razak’s “717 Declaration” that “Malaysia is Islamic state and was never a secular state” especially when it is undemocratic, unauthorized and clear abuse of power?
It is shocking that in the past five days, MCA Ministers and leaders regard the “ban” as emanating from the most lawful and highest authority, while no one in the UMNO and UMNO Youth paid any heed to the so-called “ban” whatsoever — explaining the warning by the Umno Youth leader, Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein to MCA leaders to “shut up” and stop making statements of Malaysia being a secular state as well speeches and statements by others including the Umno Youth deputy leader Khairy Jamaluddin and Umno Information chief, Tan Sri Muhammad Muhd Taib giving their distorted version of the Merdeka constitution and “social contract”.
It is most unfortunate that the Dewan Rakyat is not in session when Najib made his highly controversial and divisive “717 Declaration” which had no constitutional basis whatsoever, or DAP MPs would have rectified the distortion and rewriting of constitutional history and developments in Parliament immediately.
The Dewan Negara is in session but no Senator whether from MCA or any other Barisan Nasional component party has the conviction or gumption to stand up in the Senate to question the legality of the “ban” and to demand to know who had issued and authorized the directive but also to put on record the true history and constitutional basis of Malaysian nation-building.
Is there any Senator from MCA or any other Barisan Nasional component party who dares to stand up in Senate before it ends tomorrow evening to remind Najib and Hishammuddin and to put fully and squarely on record that the nation’s forefathers, including the first three Prime Ministers, Tunku Abdul Rahman, Tun Razak and Tun Hussein Onn rejected Malaysia as an Islamic state as they were fully committed to the fundamental nation-building principle of Malaysia as a democratic, secular multi-religious nation with Islam as the official religion but not an Islamic state?
Intead of looking into ways to prepare our nation in facing increasing globalisation challange we are once again embroiled into debating whether this contry is Secular or Islamic. The fate of our country is doomed with the bunch of idiots running the country.
I just couldn’t understand why one must bring in religion to stir up the racial emotion. Don’t you all think that religion is between an individual and the god he believes. It’s a very personal matter. It’s either you believe or you don’t. I don’t have a religion and my life is still going on.
If god is really that great then there shouldn’t be any conflict among the arabs, the jews and so on. The god of each religion could have negotiated and resolved the conflict among themselves and not let the people fighting for them.
The silence is deafening.
It would appear that the DAP is again the solitary party championing the fight for this and other issues.
The MCA merely whimpers and retreats but dare not go against their big brother to whom they owe their futures. Mr Liow must thump his chest more and yell like Tarzan and have the guts to confront his counterparts in umNO! So must the other MCA “leaders” who must prove they are not eunuchs, stooges and lackeys ! They surely must have some pride and dignity if not for themselves individually, then for their community. If not now, then when? When will you all ever make a stand instead of retreating all the time?
What of the other communities? Why are they so silent? Have they been frightened off? Samy, where are you? Under your bed? Kayveas? Joseph Pairin Kitingan? “Minimus” Ongkili, the “unity” Minister? Lee Lam Thye? Lim Keng Yaik? And Koh Soo Koon? Hey, you all awake?
How will this week’s Cabinet meeting be held when it will be chaired by Najib, the “Islamic State” man? What will all the non-Muslim Ministers say or not say, behave or react? Fireworks or No? Man, lets wait and see.
Meanwhile the honeymooners enjoy their ah, honeymoon oblivious to the goings on.
After all these years, the beneficiaries of NEP in this country (you know who) had been leading people in general to think in this pattern.

Decades of politics of religion had done a lot of damage to a multi religious country.
The religious conflict started in Middle East dated back thousands of years. It is most irresponsible for politicians, terrorists, extremists and fundamentalists to bring it to Asia Pacific.
The moment the MCA Senator does it, it will be his last term as Senator. And as we all know, fame and wealth are MCA bread and butter. They cannot live without it. In other word, i used to call this type of people as “coward”.
The MCA ministers no one dare to tell DPM was wrong! This is the MCA culture… Takut!

This must be a cynical post or the joke of the year to challenge/dare any MCA Minister or Senator to remind Najib and Hishammuddin (PMs-in-waiting) that our first three Prime Ministers, Tunku Abdul Rahman, Tun Razak and Tun Hussein Onn rejected Malaysia as an Islamic state. The outcome is obvious.
First of all, MCA Ministers or Senators don’t remember or understand what our first three Prime Ministers had stated. Lastly, MCA Ministers or Senators only remember what our current PM, his SIL, or the PMs-in-waiting said – ‘shut up’, yes boss.
Furthermore, if UMNO bosses want MCA Ministers or Senators to declare one more time in public that they do not agree to Najib’s declaration, they will do so, in order for Najib or Hisha or KJ to command them again to ‘shut up’ – to demonstrate to UMNO members and the nation that UMNO is supreme and can order and control the spineless MCA (or Gerakan, MIC, etc). MCA no longer represent the ethnic chinese community anymore… they’re too caught up taking care of their own.

How naive for MCA to claim to represent chinese community when almost all their elected reps are not from the chinese majority areas. OKT himself dare not stand in the chinese majority constituency. His brother lost badly to DAP’s Fong Poh Kuan in Batu Gajah constituency.
