Can MCA deliver for Najib?

Is Najib lashing out at DAP because he’s frustrated with MCA’s inability to sustain Chinese support?

COMMENT

Why should any self-respecting Malay support Umno which stands idly by and endorses a party like the MCA?

MCA can no longer sustain Chinese support and Umno is absolutely disabled to help.

So it has come to this because all this while Umno has turned MCA into a party of honorary Malays. Now Umno reaps what it has sown.

The prospect of DAP supplanting and eliminating MCA altogether is the main reason why Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak is attempting meek scare-mongering tactic.

But people are not buying whatever you say now, Mr PM.

Najib says Malays are fed up with DAP. Well, let me tell you this. Those who know Najib well, knows he is playing to the gallery.

He is acutely aware that he is speaking among political rejects. MCA’s influence over its ethnic group is fast diminishing.

Its claim that it’s regaining legitimacy among the Chinese sounds so phony and laughable.

MCA knows it can only deliver at best three parliamentary seats in the coming general election. The party has been reduced to the status of a neutered Chihuahua.

Doing the unthinkable

We will humour both Najib and his sleeping partner, MCA.

Now why should the Malays be fed up? DAP, after all, has always contested in areas where MCA candidates stand.

In which case DAP poses no threat to Umno. So, could it be that Najib is really and actually fed up with MCA for being completely impotent at winning over the Chinese?

MCA bends over and does the unthinkable – it articulates issues that alienate them further from Malay votes while at the same time, places Malaysian Chinese as seemingly natural enemies to Malays.

That is a position which all right-thinking Malaysian Chinese must refuse. They cannot ride on the irresponsible and xenophobic new approach of MCA.

MCA’s direct and scornful diatribes against Islam are tolerable while less intense technical opposition from DAP is taken as virulent and insidious assault on Muslims.

When the MCA says that hudud, which is currently a non-issue, could have been implemented a long time ago had Umno wished to but has not – that means that Umno, a Muslim party does not support Islamic laws.

The fact is Umno and its leaders mock Islam. They know if hudud is implemented, this country will be in a mess.

We wouldn’t have enough stone pebbles to stone offenders.

  1. Actually I get a sense Najib has no idea what to think of the Chinese – He is appearing on Chinese radio shows, TAR college events, even Chinese school openings, meet up with all big China companies and powerful China people.

However, you get a sense he is actually working harder to win the Indian votes and really just leaving it to MCA and does not seem to have a problem with Chua Soi Lek who seems to have his party in control and doing what expected of them.

If Najib understand the Chinese, then he knows the only option he has is to make a deal with DAP for real reform and kick out MCA/MIC/Gerakan – what the last China Emperors ultimately did but too little and too late.

  2. Every where they turn, these scums are facing a dead end.
They know very well that there is no return for them.
The best that they can do is to submit to their fate which will be ugly to say the least!

  3. The MCA can be said as the last of the four pillars left standing in Peninsula Malaysia that holds the house of Umno. It needs to be taken down. With Sabah and Sarawak going their separate ways, Umno will find itself standing on precarious ground. The house that keeps it in power will come tumbling down like we see in the WTC.

  4. To achieve UMNO’s divide and rule to stay in power, MCA is prepared to make ordinary Chinese Malaysian seen as unable to cooperate with majority of ordinary Malays who reasonable moderate and fair minded.

This is most irresponsible and placed the community at great risk of extremists out to cause harm and trouble.

  5. Interesting! Don’t think MCA is relevant in these days politics! Fight nothing, but minister post! Look at chua tee yong, what can he contribute? Even a people like him can be deputy minister! LOL….

  6. Deliver what?

BTW, the cockroach in my hse toilet named choooa teeeea yooorng (i think it is because of the two resident roaches, this one looks particularly disgusting and revolting, somehow) – yeah, it attempted a stunt two days ago. It decided to flip over with all its 6 legs stretched out. Maybe choooa teeeea yooorng was trying to touch the sky – no, no, no, correction, more like the light bulb. Anyway, my point is that apparently this roach named choooa teeeea yooorng has not given up. It is still at it this morning. But now I think he has attracted quite a few supporters. I dont speak ant language but they seems to be cheering choooa teeeea yooorng on or something.

    … more update later.
