2012 NY message – Year to make Malaysians proud of being a Malaysian and motivate Malaysians to achieve greatness

As if further reminders are needed, the closing month of the year have provided further proofs that the country has never been so polarised both on grounds of race and religion in the nation’s 54-year history than in the 32 months of Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s premiership, viz:

  • The irresponsible incitement and exploitation of the 3R cards of race, religion and Malay Rulers at the UMNO General Assembly;

  • The Prime Minister’s pandering to the 3R rhetorics at the ensuing Perkida general assembly;

  • The extremist reaction to a moderate and reasoned appeal for a fair and even-handed interpretation of Article 153 made by the chairperson of National Evangelical Christian Fellowship (NECF) Reverend Eu Hong Seng at a Christmas hi-tea on Christmas eve; and

  • The unjustified response by Deputy Prime Minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin to Reverend Eu’s speech at the national Christmas open house in Kajang on Dec. 26, warning against attempts to undermine the country’s unity “which the BN government has painstakingly built”.

Why has racial and religious polarisation in Malaysia worsened in the 32 months of Najib’s premiership when Najib had launched from April 2009 his signature policy and slogan of “1Malaysia. People First. Performance Now”, focussing on the core concepts of social cohension, unity in diversity and inclusiveness, social justice, excellence and integrity?

There can be no doubt whatsoever that if an independent and dispassionate study is made as to who must be held responsible for the worsening racial and religious polarisation in the past 32 months with their incessant incitement of race rhetoric and religious tensions, undermining the Prime Minister’s signature 1Malaysia policy, the culprits were the UMNO leaders themselves, UMNO mouthpieces and their proxy organisations.

This is a triumph of Muhyiddin over Najib, as the DPM had expressed his reservations about the 1Malaysia policy right from the outset, when he refused to endorse the 1Malaysia policy of being “Malaysian first” by declaring he is Malay first and Malaysian second!

UMNO and Barisan Nasional are incapable of effecting national and institutional changes to prepare Malaysia to face the challenges of globalisation and international competitiveness.

Only the Malaysian people themselves can make these changes possible.

2012 is the year to make Malaysians proud of being a Malaysian, check racial and religious polarization, motivate Malaysians to achieve greatness and save the country from corruption, abuses of power and socio-economic injustices.

Prepare for the 13th General Elections.

Happy New Year 2012

  1. We all know UMNO b minsters are a bunch of crooks and hypocrites…where Mahathir have shown all …how to steal.twist and turn.. be cunning and be sly as a fox.
You can say…Najib is Mahathir’s best student…and why not.
He has to be the best…for Najib needs to save his own skin more than others.
He goes down…his wife follow too.

The conclusion is that Najib is an opportunist who cares only about perpetuating in his position as Prime Minister, and to hold the position for anything else other than what the post demands of the incumbent, to serve the interests of the nation.

Najib knew that 308 tsunami was the result of UMNO arrogance, brought about no less by the brandishing of the Keris in the UMNO GA, as well the Home Minister condoning the cow-head protest. NEP extension without regards to having achieved the oft repeated target of the infamous 30% decades ago confirmed that UMNO had no intention to honour its promise.

Najib considered that BN would retain power if they were able to fool enough Chinese voters who might accept empty promise like what Mamakthir gained in his double talk about the Suqiu demands made by the Chinese community. Najib declared 1Malaysia to give the impression that he would be different from AAB whose son-in-law started the racial tension during his stay in the Fourth Floor. But Najib’s one-Malaysia soon turned into one-country-two-races with his deputy Muhyiddin declaring that he was Malay first. Hence racism is very much the guiding light in Najib’s administration; as Najib did not or could not even convince his deputy that Malaysians should embark on the path to blurring racial distinction towards a developed nation in 2020.
Perkasa with Mamakthir as the patron made Najib demonstrate his flip-flops. Najib’s true colour was further confirmed by his involvement in the MCA party presidential power struggle. The ascension of the porn-star to the position of MCA president indicated that Najib would not want BN racial discriminatory policies subject to review. Over time Naib realized that under the new Porn-Star-led MCA, even MCA members would not vote for BN. Chua’s suggestion that MCA would not remain in BN gives Chinese a ray of hope that comes the next election, MCA would be taught a proper lesson.

Najib having realized that his 1Malaysia is not only too little it is also not being believed to have any sincerity attached. Najib knew that increasingly more Malays cannot stomach corruptions perpetrated by UMNO and they would want a change. UMNO has all along relied on making Malays feel guilty for not supporting UMNO racism regime; UMNO claimed that Malays, who are currently in the work force, the economically active age-group, are beneficiaries of NEP. Having benefited from NEP, Malays are morally bound to have it continued, till eternity. UMNOputras have forgotten that the religion Malays profess does not encourage them to discriminate based on race, or religion. The choice between respecting the religious practice and loyalty to UMNO has been a bruising dilemma for Malays, particularly foe the more religious persons. But UMNO’s display of utilizing racial discriminatory policies for their own benefit rather than to help the needy group released Malays from swearing allegiance to UMNO racist policies. Thus we see people who are active members of non-UMNO parties.

Having lost the support of non-Malays, and realizing that Malays are using their heads to vote, Najib had to appeal to their hearts. Thus, the three Rs; not the read, write and arithmetic of the classic but Race, Religion and Rulers come to Najib’s head. Najib still wants Malays to run amok to save his position.

The next election will tell whether Malaysians are a failed people.

  3. To Kit, his team and all Malaysian brothers and sisters.
Wishing all of you a very Happy, Healthy, Wealthy New Year 2012.
My New Year wish for Malaysia is “May 2012 be a Malaysia changing year”. May it be the dawn of a new beginning. He has to call GE 13 soon. Let us all make a difference. Let us show BN / UMNO / MCA the door out.

    WE NEED A CHANGE

WE NEED TO CHANGE THE TENANT AT PUTRAJAYA. GE 13 IS OUR BEST CHANCE. FAILURE IS NOT AN OPTION. LET US ALL WORK VERY VERY HARD. WE MUST SUCCEED.

  4. The morning after the 13 GE in February 2012, may we rise up and sing

Morning has broken, like the first morning
Blackbird has spoken, like the first bird
Praise for the singing, praise for the morning
Praise for the springing fresh from the word

Sweet the rain’s new fall, sunlit from heaven
Like the first dewfall, on the first grass
Praise for the sweetness of the wet garden
Sprung in completeness where his feet pass

Mine is the sunlight, mine is the morning
Born of the one light, Eden saw play
Praise with elation, praise every morning
God’s recreation of the new day

  5. Let us use our votes to have a complete new Malaysia starting in 2012.We can tolerate no more all the corruptions and mismanagement, abuse of power that have nearly sapped dry our so very richly endowed motherland.

  6. Why can’t we have a public debate between political leaders aspiring to be the PM/President ?Taiwan,Singapore,Thailand,Philippines can hold it,Why can’t Malaysia? I think we must start with a free and fair press and TV network. It is just nauseating and loathsome to look at the msm today.

  7. Quote: “The country’s unity “which the BN government has painstakingly built”.

Ha ha ha, don’t make me laugh!
I think we are more united without BN government, the stinking “Kau Si Kun”.
