KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 26 – The nation’s former top cop has likened the rise of the human rights movement in Malaysia to Communism, and said this would lead to the questioning of “accepted truths” like the social contract.
“Every century has its wave… and we cannot avoid being hit by this wave.
“Now, it’s the human rights wave… Before that, it was the wave of Marxism, Socialism,” former Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Abdul Rahim Mohd Noor said today.
He was speaking at the 2nd Perkasa general assembly at Dewan Centrum here today after officiating the event.
Calling the human rights movement a new religion, Rahim warned that civil liberties activists saw the US and UK as their spiritual home and drew parallels to how the Comintern had engineered the global spread of Communism from its Moscow base.
“Now we see many things being questioned because of the human rights wave,” he said.
“They question the self-evident [social contract], as though they’re trivialising what was agreed upon.”
He added that many leftist Malay leaders during the post-World War II period had been tricked into thinking the Communists had their interests at heart but realised later that they were being used by “wolves in sheep’s clothing”.
Rahim is best remembered for giving former deputy prime minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim a black eye following the latter’s arrest under sodomy charges in 1998.
Also present at the general assembly today was businessman Datuk Shazryl Eskay Abdullah, who was fined in June together with two others for screening an alleged sex video of Anwar.
Human rights movement = Communism
Human rights activists = Communists
Voila, easi lah, tangkap all under ISA n throw away d keys
NEP preserved eternally, easi solution
Rahim Noor, hmmm…..sounds like a great statesman, eh?
Black eye for Perkasa politics to let rahim Noor open Perkasa AGM. First, it was Tun M. Now it’s this man.
What is this despicable coward, a disgrace, worst than a “communist”, talking about when he went around brutally torturing his unarmed detainee with hands tied behind back?
He should have been thrown into jail to serve sentence till his final days, blardy bully!
Communism is bad, fascism is OK.
Dogs are barking.
Anwar was lucky with only just a black eye with this guy around. There cannot be any question our police need to be completely revamped seeing they had a chief like this who don’t even know his job.
Who is he to citicize anyone who questions abuses of human rights when he is the worst violater of human rights. He disgraced the uniform he wore and the badge of his office when he violated the trust placed in him by committing that dastardly act of abusing a handcuffed Anwar when he was IGP. He does not even have the courage to look his victim in the eye and cowardly blindfold and handcuff him before assaulting Anwar. After that he tried to hide his criminal act and it took a RCI and some courageous policemen to flush him out.
Now I understand why our senior policemen have warped minds. They have only one-tracked minds. Must be something wrong with the syllabi and their trainers at the training centres they go to.
Everyone’s a commie (in this age of capitalism !!!) unless proven otherwise.
Help !!!! Our Police (PRDM) is stuck in the wrong century !!!
George W. Bush stated in his second inaugural address, “Eventually, the call of freedom comes to every mind and every soul.” Barack Obama has said much the same thing.
///A modern Malay cannot be easily identified based on physical characteristics alone, said a medical geneticist from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), who presented a paper at the 2nd Borneo History Seminar held at the International Convention Centre last week.
“‘Modern Malays’ are an admixture of races,” said Professor Zilfalil Alwi, whose paper “Asal Usul Melayu Berdasarkan Fakta Genetik” (Tracing the Origins of the Malays by Analysing Genetic Data) discusses a three-year study involving around 50,000 volunteers.
“Nowadays you can’t tell the difference whether someone is Chinese or Malay by appearance alone,” he added.///–http://www.asiaone.com/News/AsiaOne%2BNews/Malaysia/Story/A1Story20111026-307064.html
I have said that Malays in Malaysia do not belong to a race, like a race is understand. They belong to a club. A mixture of races is not a race.
If Malays cannot be distinguished by appearance alone, only experts would be able to put them into different classes based on their DNA, which can differ as wide as one pleases. What then is there a need to say that, like Mamak did, Malays should not lose political power, as if that power is only meant to allow the selected few to be fabulously rich to do the community proud. When one is not sure that the rich person was a Malay, like Mamakthir is certainly not one, pure DNA-wise, why should others who are not sure of what they belong, in the DNA be proud of someone everyone knows he is not a Malay?
So, politics has made the special club a sensitive subject. Malaysia cannot be practicing true democracy when some political clubs receive special favorable treatment. Yet Najib said Malaysia has the best democracy. It certainly is the best when there is only one of its kind!
Does this piece of garbage- a disgrace to name of pdrm, think we have forgotten all about his despicable act? Where was he all these while, hiding among sewerage pipes?
All those present at the Perkosa general assembly are sampah sarap masyarakat, thus nothing fruitful expected to come out from those idiots.Generally Malays will not fall into this kind of trap anymore. It just tickle me to hear them make one stupid statement after another.Good for laughing entertainment.Wakakakaka
///KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 26 – The nation’s former top cop has likened the rise of the human rights movement in Malaysia to Communism, and said this would lead to the questioning of “accepted truths” like the social contract.///–
NEP is communism for a community, or they call it a race. How can human rights movement be equated to communism when people only fights for their own rights rather than gang together to share others’ returns to efforts? That is why some people use the fists to talk, and their mouth to think. There is zero between the ears.
Perverse logic, baffling statement?
///Rahim warned that civil liberties activists saw the US and UK as their spiritual home/// Rahim has forgotten to mention this supranational body of which Malaysia is member. In coming out with this Universal Declaration of Human Rights and urging all its member countries to ratify – and even got Malaysia to lobby for and serve on its Human Rights Commission – the United Nations is certainly a world institution up to no good, generating a wave like Communism to question accepted truths.
The British were worse – in fact closet Communist pretending to fight Chin Peng and Comintern during Emergency. The proof lies in the British inserting human rights and civil liberties provisions in our Federal Constitution that runs counter to and violate the accepted Social contract between the Races!
The whole international community has been misled thinking that South Africa’s Nelson Mendela or Myanmar’s Aung San Suu Kyi are democratic icons of human rights when they are Marxist in disguise…
The PM in advocating best democracy and repealing ISA & EO in line with demands for human rights by our various NGOs and civil society obviously and unfortunately is not privy to classified information from covert domestic surveillance of our security agencies, which the ex IGP has access, that these NGOs and civil society have been infiltrated by closet Communist moles and agents…You see all these Civil Society and NGOs are in cahoots with Opposition especially DAP’s politicians who need an idea (like human rights and equality of men regardless of creed race gender) to subvert the agreed Social Contract which has hitherto existed on a historic basis since 1957 to be abolished so that an entirely new order in deviation of what was agreed could be installed and given an intellectual and ideological basis. And for this purpose the idea of ending race differentiation based on human rights serves these subversives well. Few have Rahim’s prescience and insight to grasp these undercurrents.
“‘Modern Malays’ are an admixture of races,” said Professor Zilfalil Alwi,….“Nowadays you can’t tell the difference whether someone is Chinese or Malay by appearance alone,” he added.’
True, true. Let me tell you an incident today, Deepavali.
Was in town and the ‘boss’ invited me for the MIC do at Batu Caves. When I arrived, they thought I was Manmohan Singh’s Rep or something and gave me the respectful treatment. I was seated with some senior Malay representatives from all over the place.
During the course of the festivities and while we were eating, a Malay dressed in full Indian traditional costume came to the table (and other tables too) to thank everyone for coming to celebrate Deepavali with Najib and MIC. He gave every one a clasped greeting with his two palms clasped in front of his chest.
Imagine the ‘shock’ on the faces of all the Malays who looked stunned that a Malay (and Muslim) dressed in full Indian costume was doing this. There was total silence at the table.
‘Chindian’, I said, and the smiles and relief quickly returned.
See? We still have a long way to go.
After the function, Rosmah called Datuk G. Palanivel to tell him she fully enjoyed the Deepavali celebrations. The man was truly thrilled to death that it was a success and that she loved it !!!
Incidentally, Najib went to a few functions in his very tight, brief time in his country called 1Malaysia.
The folks in Little India were waiting for him, but in vain. He never showed up. He had to jet off again to Perth after just flying in early this morning from overseas.
He is ‘overworked’, much more than Mahathir during his time. Poor fellow.
Again Perth? Why, whenever the Rakyat’s busy in celebration mood, he disappears overseas and unfortunate for him, the Executive Plane was spotted in Perth, ..along with his brief case?
Umno is still fighting for malay (umnoputra) rights. Umno still think that communism is alive. Umno belongs to the past.
D next in command moooed dat d boss is not working hard enuf; work more, work harder, plz, day n nite; stumpy FLOM plz b an OW n give her man more satisfied sex/orgies
D next in command just can’t wait 4 d boss 2 kick d bucket
// He never showed up. He had to jet off again to Perth after just flying in early this morning from overseas.//
Why is he attending CHOGM there when malaysia has never been colonised by the british?
Human rights movement = Communism
Human rights activists = Communists
So
umno = nazism
umno activists = nazis
Meet the new vice-prez of perkosa, and prepare to be perkosakan by him

Stupid fool. Does he really believe that people of today want communism? Honestly, the equation he drew is as stupid as that “mere denial not enough” uncooked statement by the guy with toasted face. Perhaps someone should show him what the real silent majority thinks. Whether they really want communism in malaysia. Can someone start a facebook movement on this? Use the theme: “Malaysians reject communism” to show umno idiots that they are really either talking absolute rubbish or fighting some virtual enemy or stoking fear.
BTW, the silent majority which umno cites all the time and whose rights which umno claims it champions did not show up for the second time. First, during the fierce counter bersih 2.0 rally which khairy and ibrahim bin perkasa promised. And recently, the 1m anti-apostasy rally succeeded in attracting only (wot?), my reckoning, 1500 people. And many of whom are students. Some of them turned up out of curiousity! So it does look like “umno, you’re alone.” So be afraid, umno. Be very afraid. For even your own shadow could kill you!
It is unbecoming of the former IGP to play race-politics.
Ex-IGP talked rubbish, instead of giving constructif criticisms on d abuse n corrupt practices of racist n corrupt UmnoB/BN as exposed by d AG’s Report
Now, Holy Cow, our dumb minister mooed “Malaysia is interested in tapping Singapore’s successes, especially in d fields of tourism n education”
He didn’t even know dat many workers who work tirelessly and creatively 2 promote d success of tourism n education in Sg r MALAYSIANS (incl EX), driven away by d incompetent, corrupt, n racist practices of UmnoB/BN
Rakyat sure Sg leaders just larfed amg themselves @ d stupidity of UmnoB/BN kaki2: with your well-known leakage n corrupt practices, FORGET abt tapping Sg’s successes, just go home n enjoy your ObWives lah, kek3
Suppose you are a pensioner receiving RM214.33 a month. Suddenly your pension shoots up to RM21,433.00 a month. What would you do?
A. Thank the Maths teachers for having taught the buffoon in the Pensions Dept who doesn’t know the meaning of decimal points
B. Keep the gift and also keep mum
C. So happy that you died not soon after
D. Pray that the pension would soon be increased to RM21,433,000.00 a month
E. All of the above
In d civil service, we hv lots of graduates working there mah
N they say: Aiyuh, Y so much FUSS abt a “DOT”? Close your eyes n simply DOT . lah!
k1980:
What would I do if they pay me RM 21,433.00 a month when my entitlement is only RM 214.33 per month ?
Easy, I will do exactly what the guy who was paid RM 170 per kilo of sugar did to Mara. Keep quiet and spend the money. Then when the auditor finds out, and they come after me, I will say I have no money left, and could they consider a monthly payment of RM 200 per month for the next 10 years. Once this arrangement is agreed, the case will be considered closed. NFA.
HIMPUN is considered a vote for communism ? No wonder only 5,000 people showed up.
How many know what is social contract? Not many. How many care about it?
The root of the problem was not the questioning of social contract, who rights was that. The main concern of the tax payers were what has been shown in the Auditor General’s report year in and year out.
No body questioned fund being allocated to MARA but the way they wastes the fund was what the people not happy about. and was this wrong if you waste the money allocated and that moneys was from the tax payers.
No body want the other group to be left behind it will be for all benefits if all are well educated and can make their living and contribute to the economy, but it will be the concern of the people if money that was mean for purpose of bring up their skills and education was simply waste it.
So the people questioned that and not their rights.
This is like trying to re-activate/regain some kind of political relevance (perhaps for access to greater business opportunities) by identifying with an organisation like Perkasa and justifying its Cause, and trying very hard to say something original/intelligent about it, in an inaugural address, that did not quite turn out that way.

The COW (Club of Obedient Wives) is to be blamed for not taking good care of their hubbies
This stupid ex IGP still talks about social contract and all the crap about human rights when the AG report year in and year out exposes inexcusable and rampant misuse of public fund. Moreover the revelation could be just a tip of the iceberg. So what is this idiot and all the others in the f…ing Perkosa doing ?
Here is truly paradise mah
RM214.33 a month pension bcame RM21,433.00 a month, happiness
RM21,433.00 PTPTN loan 2 repay bcame RM214.33, lagi happiness
Just moving d DOT . only mah, so shiok 1, better than in Greece, Zimbabwe
Please, fellows, does he not have a right to say stupid things once in a while? Go ahead Rahim, piss on human rights, but make sure you stand with the wind on your back!
The convicted so-called ex-IGP also wants some cheap publicity? LOL
