DAP senior leader Lim Kit Siang today told MCA not to “spin” on the percentage of votes obtained from Sungai Limau’s Chinese community during the last general election.
He said the Barisan Nasional party component lied when they said only 10% of the Chinese voted for Barisan Nasional (BN).
“According to the DAP analysis, BN received 45% of Chinese votes and PAS received 55%,” he said, adding that out of 1,842 Chinese voters, 1,400 turned up to cast their ballots.
“MCA is trying to mislead the public about the Chinese community’s support for the party.
“They are doing this so that when polling day comes and they get higher votes, they can claim the Chinese have swung back to them,” he said.
The Chinese make up 6% of the voters in Sungai Limau.
BN recently announced an allocation of RM2.5 million to three Chinese schools in the area, in their bid to win over the Chinese. It also pledged RM200,000 to the Sungai Limau Chinese school foundation. – November 2, 2013.
What is MCA lying in Sg Limau compared to Najib’s lies on the global stage? Najib’s interview with Christian Amanpour was one lie after another – he had to respect the court’s decision on Allah when the court decision was that HE was the one to decide, that UMNO/BN was not racist because they catered to minorities like the Indians when his home minister says shoot first, then ask, the election was not rigged because opposition could not prove 40K Blangladeshi was phantom voters.
Clearly Najib came prepped with pre-answer with Christian Amanpour, so what is MCA lying and ready for its lies in SG limau? As pathetic as MCA is, CSL is not a worst liar than Najib..
The two major Chinese component in the BN have to go begging to UMNO for government posts!
How to give any credibility to what these beggars have to say??
During the recent budget presentation, Najib announced the RM100 million special allocation to the Indians, and mentioned that those who supported BN will be rewarded.
Last year, the same announcement for this allocation was made by the Prime Minister when RM100 million each was specially allocated to the Chinese schools and the Tamil schools.
Clearly, the Chinese were snubbed. This is a clear indication that those who voted for the opposition will be sidelined. While Najib claims to be the leader for all Malaysians, MB Mukhriz is not too far off by his recent moves. Something for the 45% of Chinese who last voted for BN/UMNO to think of.
The MCA is too anxious to get back into the cabinet with LTL hoping to be the new Transport Minister. The same status quo, makes no difference to the Chinese community!
