One told Malaysians that the guns might have fallen into the sea and the other confirmed it. This type of ‘explanation’ is what is termed in the Malay language as an attempt to “memperbodohkan” the public, to make fools of the public.
Even a bullet lost by a member of the police force is supposed to be reported, what more when weapons are lost. Thus there must be a report by each of the persons who lost their weapons and ammunition. Or has this practice been long discarded?
Losing weapons is a very serious matter. But to the Inspector General of Police and to Home Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, it is child’s play, as if the guns lost were mere toy guns. They are arrogantly telling the public “to mind your own business” and that asking the police about the lost weapons is none of their business.
This cockiness stems from the fact that they are the ones in power and whatever they do or say must be meekly accepted as the truth which is final and binding. In other words, do not question those in authority. This is the culture of “ketuanan”, the master must not be questioned. But isn’t the public the master as the public elects the politicians into office and civil servants are the servants of civil society? So by the theory of “ketuanan”, the public are the tuans of the politicians and the civil servants. So why can’t the public question the politicians and public servants?
The IGP and Zahid might have forgotten that there is evidence that at least one of the guns did not fall into the sea, unless the following news report is a made-up story. But then, the then Selangor acting police chief, A Thaiveegan was reported to have confirmed the case. (See The Malaysian Insider report here).
If the police could lose guns so easily, is it wrong for the public to be very concerned about the issue and raise questions about it.
Could the IGP and Zahid please confirm or deny the then Selangor acting police chief, A Thaiveegan’s confirmation of this news report. – October 5, 2013
LOST IN THE SEA
More than anyone else in UMNO, Zahid Hamidi is the closest re-iteration of Mahathir but he is only a marginal re-iteration and still fall short some area of that he pattern after.
They used to call what Mahathir did like these being a “maverick”. Its really just belligerence that is based on pathological self-righteousness. The basic characteristics are “ends justify the means” and dictatorial.
The biggest mistake against such pathology is simply to trust and apathy. His opposition already made big mistake allowing him to get away with simply a promise that he won’t use the PCA against them. ITS HIS JOB TO LEGISLATE SUCH A PROMISE, and allowing him verbal only is DEADLY..
Complain what you want of his attitude, it makes no difference as we have learn from his earlier better version Mahathir. By the time those who are apathetic and allow themselves to trust his words figured it out. It will be too late..
The really ridiculous thing is that he will probably be re-issued with another pistol to do it all over again!
Now, if only he could ask for a Gen 4 Glock 17 and let me know where he will be sleeping next …..
Extended magazine, pls, thank you.
The UMNO/BN government don’t give a damn what Malaysians think about them anymore.
Or even the whole world.
They have ignored both long, long ago.
As long as they inhabit Putrajaya, they can do want ever they want.
So, even humouring the citizens of this country is beginning to wear very thin!
And on their side, Malaysians must only have one thought on their minds.
Kicking out these buccaneers from Putrajaya which they are occupying illegally.
That must be the be all and end all for ALL Malaysians.
When you have retards idiotic leadership, you will get idiotic answers. This is another example of umno arrogance and incompetency.
They do not need to answer to anybody including God but to their corrupted master.
After the IGP’s and the Home minister’s pathetic attempt to “memperbodohkan” the public, I can visualise a pilgrimage of 44 policemen travelling to the nearest seaside, take a sampan and row out to sea and his gun “accidentally ” fell into the sea. It must be the sea. The Putrajaya lake, Kenyir dam or even Tasik Chini is not good enough.
I have Singaporean friends who had to serve the national service.
Lesson 1. Treat the gun as your wife. Never let it go and never lose it. Hold on to it with your dear life! Consequence: extreme punishment!
Real life example. In one military exercise my friend and several of his mates had to get onto a hovering helicopter within a short time. He was the last to get up. And there was not enough time for him to buckle up for the copter had started to tip on its side to turn and fly away as soon as he got in. His backside was off the seat and he was staring out at the gaping copter door opening. At that point he feared not for his life but for his gun.
To them losing a pistol is like losing a toy but if you are caught in possession of a gun unlawfully, you can be charged and eventually hanged. The same weapon that they “lose” may be used by a criminal to rob, murder or to intimidate others for personal gain.Anyway no police personnel should walk away scotfree for losing a weapon like this.
Sometimes I wonder why people with authority can be so cavalier and so arrogant. They think the public are suckers and will believe whatever they say. They are making themselves the laughing stock of the whole world.
Same old script , started by One Mammak. All done to ensure he secures, strengthen his position of VP – this Zahat guy had been at it, all tough tokok, acts for a while now. And it works like usual. These Bumnoputras cannot campaign like the likes of other ‘election’ where the candidates have to really present their good credentials in order to stand a chance to be selected. Mainly because none of them have any good credentials to present in the first place, ALL tainted BIG or this or that ! So, must ‘fight’ on different platform – ho, we to fight for Bumno race actually, ho, ho, ho, BUT end of it all MAINLY for OWN-SELFISH self only.
The ONE MAMMak is ONE good ICON on this SELFISH nature of Bumno and ONE- HYPOCRITE !
Guns are not given to just any constable but to those who are trusted and needed them in their job. Those who are issued them are responsible for them. So if these people just lose them they should be held accountable and disciplinary action taken against them. What disciplinary action has been taken against these 44 people?
Did the Auditor General find out where the C4 came from and who is missing the explosives?
In my opinion, those ‘lost’ items are not lost in the real sense of the word. Those items were never there in the first place. That explains why no reports of their lost are found/shown. Simply put, a 1k items which have been verified as ‘delivered/received’ may in fact actually only being ‘delivered/received’ (say 60% of it). The 40% paid are for those who are involved in the whole deal. That explains why all are quiet (agreed that the items are lost at sea)..
If the truth is revealed, so many might need to jump into the sea to escape judgment !
