Prize for “Political Gaffe of the Month” or “Putting one’s foot in the mouth” will be a toss-up among three competitors, Wan Ahmad, Muhyiddin and Mahathir

The prize for “Political Gaffe of the Month” or “Putting one’s foot in the mouth” will be a toss-up among three competitors this month – Datuk Wan Ahmad Wan Omar, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and Tun Mahathir, viz:

• Election Commission deputy chairman Datuk Wan Ahmad Wan Omar in asking why he and the Election Commission Chairman Tan Sri Abdul Aziz Mohd Yusof should resign when they have done their job of running an election, completely blissful of the national and international uproar over 13GE for failing to meet the most basic criteria of being a clean, free and fair elections as to cause for the first time in the nation’s 56-year history widespread doubt about the legitimacy of Datuk Seri Najib Razak as the Prime Minister.

• Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin’s threat that the 47% BN minority government will penalize and discriminate against 51% majority of popular vote for supporting Pakatan Rakyat and Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim in contrast to the 47% popular vote for Barisan Nasional and Datuk Seri Najib Razak – starkly raising the question whether Najib and the BN Government are Prime Minister and Government for only 47% of Malaysians or for all Malaysians.

• Former Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad’s latest racist vituperation alleging that the 2013GE outcome is proof that the Chinese in Malaysia are out to oust the political power of the Malays and to dominate Malaysian politics highlighting the falsehoods and moral turpitude he is prepared to indulge in to perpetrate his racist objectives .

The jury is still out which one of them, Wan Ahmad, Muhyiddin and Mahathir, deserves the prize for “Political Gaffe of the Month” or “Putting one’s foot in the mouth” for all the three statements are equally outrageous and scandalous in their disregard of the truth, contemptuous of the popular prevailing sentiments among rational and patriotic Malaysians as well as dismissive of the common Malaysian Dream uniting patriotic Malaysians, particularly young generation of Malaysians.

The prize last month for “Political Gaffe of the Month” or “Putting one’s foot in the mouth” had no challenge for the undisputed winner was the new Home Minister, Datuk Seri Zahid Hamidi who told Malaysians not satisfied with the country’s electoral system to “migrate elsewhere” – imagine a Minister in a government with 47% popular vote having the cheek and temerity to tell the majority 51% of the popular voters in the country to “migrate elsewhere”! Shouldn’t Zahid be the one to do the “migrating”?

  1. True what they say are ridiculous but the problem is a certain level of critical thinking is needed to discern the stupidity..Unfortunately, even if the majority of Malaysia are that intelligent, the number of those who don’t are too many and enough to not matter to Muhiyiddin, Mahathir and Wan Ahmad. The tyranny of over-entitled minorities.

  2. My vote for ‘Political Gaffe of the Month’ goes to Muhiyiddin for only wanting to be a govt for 47% of the populace. He has forgotten who pays the taxes for his salary and his perks.

  3. Please give them some extra prizes so they don’t fight and envy each other:
“Political Big-Mouths of the Decade” – Tun M
“Political Foul-Mouth of the Year” – Muhyddin
“Polictial Clown of the Year”: Wan Ahmad.

Tun M’s award is for the decade because he like s mega-everything.

  4. A very close 3-corner race indeed! Although I suspect Wan AhMAD has a slight edge – he can cause a blackout & add a few more ballot boxes to increase his votes :) but the MAD Hatter could also pay off the other 2 to monopolize the voters… they should just stick each other’s stinking feet into each other’s mouths & share the prize?
