Let’s dare a vision,
Of a Malaysia reborn,
A true one-nation
With good values as her bond.
There was once a land,
So peaceful and harmonious,
With friendship so grand,
With nothing acrimonious.
Then come the racists,
Who feed on communalism;
Vile supremacists,
Who kill good fraternalism.
Those immoral things,
Who wallow in corruptions,
Steal fair labour’s fruits,
By foul discriminations.
Malaysia reborn,
Means a united nation,
Inclusive of races,
Scornful of exploitations.
Malaysia is us;
Let there be no lesser sons.
Each must stand equal,
Under the Malaysian sun.
Let Malaysia grow
With good racial harmony,
Where all cultures bloom,
Creating a common symphony.
Each his potential,
Nurtured and nourished fully,
To its highest point,
To serve the nation gladly.
This beautiful land,
Can regain her great glory,
By choosing rightness,
To sweep out things vile and gory.
There must be freedom,
For talents, ideas to grow,
To their bright fruition.
This is how Malaysia can glow.
This land must reform,
To disperse the evil cloud;
Bring back the sunshine,
Make Malaysians truly proud.
Return the freedom,
Make our life with blessings brim.
Resurrect justice,
Let Malaysians live their dreams.
Mahathir is either senile or deranged.
What a reason for Xenophons expulsion!
So to Mahathir, it seems ok to steal becos others are doing it in bigger ways?

Proton and protectionism….
Now who is mahathir trying to protect.
Any schoolboy with 101 economics will tell you that it is mad to protect an industry for 30+ years. 30+ years completely destroys the infant industry argument, Dr. M.
But then, Mahathir is no ordinary schoolboy.
Hence, the question, Maahtir, who are you trying to protect?
“As an advisor of Proton of course I want Proton to sell more cars but the policy will affect Proton sale ” Mahathir told reporters after giving a lecture on his Look East Policy at University Teknologi Malaysia here.
—
“Of course if possible Proton would want protection but actually a lot of this (protectionism) had been abolished so Proton is competing at an almost level playing field,” he said.
——
“When this happens car prices will reduce drastically and second-hand cars will have an even lower value so the second-hand shops will close.
“A lot of people sell their cars to get new cars so when the second-hand car shops close and you can’t sell are you supposed to finance your new car?” —–///http://www.themalaysianinsider.com/malaysia/article/dr-m-unhappy-with-putrajayas-plans-for-cheaper-cars
Proton started in the 1980s. For thirty years Malaysians have to pay more so that Mamakthir can see Proton continue in business. Proton may have a few thousands workers, and a few more thousands are employed by factories which supply Proton with the parts. For the survival of a few thousand workers, and no doubt a few of the top officers including the advisor to Proton, Proton car owners have to pay a high price for their cars, and other motorists have to pay more taxes for other make of vehicles. This is like government policy of negotiated contracts started by Mamakthir when few tens cronies gain from the contracts at the expense of all other Malaysians, 28 million and counting.
The pioneer status scheme for new industries allows tax holidays of a fixed duration of perhaps five years. But Proton is given protection of unlimited duration. The parasite should just die. But that parasite has acquired a national car status. Was the term a national pride or a national humiliation?
Second-hand cars go down in value does not bring about the collapse of all second-hand car shops. They buy cheaper cars to sell cheaper, and when the cars are cheap, the margin could be higher. When people want to sell their cars, there will be buyers. All car owners now will get a lower value for their old cars. They do not necessarily want to rush to buy new cars. When they do, what they lose in the value of the old cars will be more than compensated by the drop in the value of the new. New entrants will gain more. But eventually all car owners will benefit, and they can utilize their savings to buy more nutritional meals.
///The initiative to lower car prices is the government’s way to help the youths who are struggling financially in urban areas, International Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed said earlier today.
“We understand that cars is a necessity for youths in Kuala Lumpur … We sympathise with them,” he said.
He however insisted that in long term, the more sustainable solution should be to improve Malaysia’s public transport instead of making it easy for citizens to purchase cars.///–MalaysianInsider
It seems that the government policy about lowering car price is to get youths to vote for them!
In countries with good public transport system, in UK or the US, car prices are lower than in Malaysia. The government should improve its transport system as well as lower taxes on cars. People can choose what they like, and not forced to use private cars to make Proton sell more cars.
People in the rural areas suffer from the high price of cars too!
Mahathir should return all the monies paid by Proton to him as an advisor.
What kind of an advisor is that who for 30 odd years cannot even turn around a small company with all poosible forms of government largesse and protection?
How much is mahathir paid by Proton? If he has any maruah at all, he should return all the money.
If he were a schoolboy, I could forgive him and teach him the 101s. But this is an overgrown schoolboy who admits he knows nuts with all the sarcasm he can muster and still tokkok on the international stage as if he is a dear-know-all.
Wtf.

Re import duties on cars again:
As far as I have observed over the years, Minister of trade, Mustapha may have a first class honours in ecnomics 101, but he is ONLY FIRST CLASS in being a message carrier, a peon as far as economic policies are concerned. Abysmally shocking and even silly econmic policies.
