  1. Today we hear of calls for boycott of Jaclyn Victor for singing “Harapan Bangsa”; a mainstream paper screaming “Haram Sokong DAP”; politicians contradicting openly what Tunku, Hussein Onn & Salleh Abas said about this country being secular; arson attacks on places of worship; problematic child conversion cases, moral police – and the latest 2 Malaysians with alleged Al-Qaeda link nabbed by Lebanese authorities, not to mention Bali bombings linked to explosives experts nurtured or domiciled here. It makes the PM’s call in international stage for moderate to stand up laughable when authorities appear to do nothing against extremists or extreme public statements made here under banner of name and religion. Ask yourself by whose policies is created a milieu conducing to rise of racial/religious extremism in this country that we witness today (absent at least in public sphere before)? The damage to the country long term is irreparable and irreversible, and worse than even imprisoning 106 innocent Malaysians. Its imprisoning the country by grasp of extemism which may last (who knows?) longer than 106 years.

  2. Look at the face of the tyrant. Remember him in your prayers and hope he will change and repent before he checks out.

We can hope but will he ever change? His heart turned into stone a long, long time ago.

But maybe if he listens to Jaclyn Victor, he might see the light. Remember Beauty and the Beast.

  3. 25 years, no, not even 25 centuries will be able to wipe out the ignominy of the draconian action nor the brazenness of the act.

Long live the memories of the evil that Mahathir did to his fellow Malaysians under all shams, guises and deceptions. Padanlah muka kau.

  4. These so-called ‘leaders’ who were trusted with power have used it to enrich themselves and now the very people who are expected to pay for their largess have simply declared ‘enough’. As the influence of government continues to expand, the number of people who show discontent over the political structure will continue to grow. People are beginning to realize that the system will not correct itself. The entrenched interests will not simply walk away from their gravy train. The only way remaining for the people to reclaim their nation is to fight the power of government elitists. The truth is that the ONLY way our nation can return to its past greatness is if people are in charge of themselves. The fatal conceit of all intellectual elitists is that they become delusional over their intelligence and believe that it entitles them to control the lives of others “for their own good”. This delusion is the fundamental underpinning of every totalitarian regime in the history of mankind and continues to be a one-way road to despotism. The only way for any movement toward freedom to be enduring is for its ultimate goal to be one of liberating people from control, instead of shifting the type of control that is imposed.
