I feel there is a gross miscarriage of justice by charging Rafizi for revealing bank accounts of NFCorp.
In my opinion, Rafizi by revealing the bank accounts of NFCorp has shown that the officers of NFCorp were involved in a major offence of laundering money belonging to the people.
NFCorp obtained a sum of RM250 million from the government, ostensibly to invest in a major cattle venture.
The company officers led by its chairman Datuk Seri Mohamed Salleh misused the money and attempted to hide the money in properties in foreign countries. They were engaged in money laundering.
Rafizi discovered this and reported the money laundering operation to the press, based on bank accounts in the names of NFCorp officers.
Technically by revealing the secret bank accounts, Rafizi could have transgressed certain bank laws.
But Rafizi was doing important detective work because he revealed information that NFCorp was involved in laundering money which belonged to the people. He was doing a job which should have been done by government officers in the Finance ministry.
Rafizi deserved a reward for his detective work in uncovering illicit money laundering by NFCorp chairman Datuk Seri Mohd Salleh and his managers.
It is quite clear that Rafizi has been charged unjustly. He committed no offence. He did good police work, and because of his initiative he has uncovered a major corruption operation. He deserves a reward, not a charge in court.
@Dr Chen Man Hin
Are you trying to show those UMNO/BN suckers how to behave and act? They are suckers!
They are forever suckers doing sucking jobs in the eyes of Rakyat! They suck everything whatever and whenever they touch/ involve…
Most of UMNO/BN suckers carry their big bellies around because they suck a lot rakyat’s blood, sweat and tear…
I’m waiting for another few years to hear Bolehland bankruptcy!!! Without oppositions check and reveal, Bolehland gone to hell long ago!!
Sucky…sucky…boo…boo… UMNO/BN
The law is an a.s they say but it is men who created the laws. They then go about enforcing the obnoxious laws because it is ‘legal’ and ‘right’ to do so. It is men who are the as.es not the law.
Whistle blowers got arrested?
Nothing to be surprised about when thieves and robbers are governing our country.
Who made them so brave?
Those who voted them to govern.
The swing is so great for a change in Govt.
It’s dictatorship in a a very crude way and more ideas to stay in power to frighten Malaysians will come.
Desperate men needs desperate ideas.
UMNO crooks go free, whistleblowers go to jail. The message is very clear: be warned that if you choose to expose wrongdoings of our brothers and sisters, we will try our best to put you in jail.
Remember LGE who blew the whistle on the former Melaka CM’s abuse of an under-aged girl and was sent to jail? And the former Melaka CM then received RM40,000,000 to set up a movie studio to frame anwar
WELCOME, HELP FIGHT CORRUPTIONS
The BN government does not practice Janji ditepati as provided in the Whistle Blower Act. The BN government instead of protecting whistle blower for alerting the authority of crimes having been committed, chooses to get its Attorney General persecute the whistle blower.
Can Najib tell Malaysians how BN government has tepat Janji in this particular episode?
Cow-gate exposed for all to see how government funds have been misused. The whistle blower should have been protected by the government not only for his personal safety, but also in protecting him against any legal entanglements that might have incurred in obtaining the needed data and information. Instead of fighting for the whistle blower, the government is fighting against the whistle blower.
The persecution of Rafizi reveals that the government does not want corruption by UMNO members known outside. It says that BN condones corruption perpetrated by UMNO members. It also says that the government threatened whistle blower to keep their mouth shut on any misdeeds perpetrated by BN government and the cronies of the powers-that-be. It also show that BN government does not hide its misdeeds in selective use of the laws of the country and ignores those laws where convenient. Apart from practicing rule by law, BN government leaders are arrogant that they display their misdeeds openly believing that they would still return to power, perhaps irrespective of results in the 13th general election.
