JUNE 10 — I have been following the news about the PTPTN, and had previously written about it as well.
The latest development by the minister of higher education, Khaled Nordin, is one of the worst of Umno’s political games.
From the shared script with Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin, the victims were apparently the students and their parents.
This ploy did not take into consideration the younger generation of Malaysians who cannot afford the higher education under the present Barisan Nasional regime.
To play on their sentiments is something that most Malaysians will not forgive.
Sometimes, silence is golden. In this case, it only became worse when Khaled Nordin had the cheek to say that the freeze on PTPTN loans to Selangor-owned tertiary education institutions “was sparked by the Selangor government’s failure to find a permanent solution for providing free education.”
As an observer, I seriously doubt Khaled’s integrity as a minister. His remarks came when the Selangor government was prepared to set aside RM30 million to provide free education to the students of both universities.
In my opinion, Khaled has lost his credibility and the people’s confidence in his ability to run an important ministry, no thanks to all the dirty politics that he and his comrades are willing to play in order to stay in power.
I wish to remind Khaled, Muhyiddin, and the rest of Umno’s ministers under the leadership of Najib Razak, of one of Bersih’s eight demands: Stop the dirty politics.
Barely days after the PTPTN blunder, another minister said the country’s crime rate is falling. It is sad to have a cabinet of inept ministers running the country.
Well done UMNO/BN!
Malaysians are known for their short memory.
Keep the Malaysian electorate incensed
everyday until polling day.
Rakyat are having hard times trying to keep up with the high cost of living, yet all our half-past6 ministers are doing nothing to ease the burden of the rakyat. They prefer to waste their time spreading lies, distorting facts and creating problems to discredit the opposition, little knowing that such actions are to their own detriment. The rakyat are now better informed and they expect a functioning government like Singapore’s PAP. Over there, they debate on policies and its back to work after elections. Our ministers are so much different. They breed thugs and gangsters to mess up opposition ceramah, show their butts, whack students who oppose the government and every sort of nonsenses that , to put it crudely, only kurang ajars will do.
“…The latest development by the minister of higher education, Khaled Nordin, is one of the worst of Umno’s political games….”
Absolutely!! Childish and spiteful. And to give the excuse that this PTPTN suspension was prompted by the ” ….Selangor Govt failure to find a solution…” as claimed by Khaled Nordin further betrays the mentality of UMNO who will not fight fair. If Selangor or PR has full access to the funds of the Govt., I am sure they would have been able to keep their promise.
To BN, everything is based on political expediency; nthing else matters. On the one hand they talk about Talents Corp at the same time they refuse to help students to get the basic educationl they certainly bend on confusing both the public and themselves. They don’t have any studied objectives, just reacting to off-the-cluff emotion and they still claim to monopolize good leadership. They are certainly desperate reacting emotionally to anything that can hit the headlines which I thought they can have it any time as the printed media are ever ready to print all those brainless stuff they can produce, just wonder how many below 35 generation read them!
Sigh, just a bunch of idiots from this fascist government!
We’ll see come GE-13 who their winnable candidates are.
Well clearly umno is fighting itself into a corner. And that is by their own choosing. Oh how stupid. How very stupid!
Blunders…idiotic speeches…idiotic reasons such as one made by Hishammuddin on Bersih 3….overseas cronies…local cronies…all done with supposedly smart ideas …all backfired.
Mister Off Hired Etukasion talking like that one ? PHUI !
Hoi cintanegara. Mana si celaka ni? His hero jibby the jib is now in a complete mess.
We never has a good education minister. The present is the worst who act like hooligan and know how to make threat and not wise decision. He just act as seem the federal confer is theirs. We could not imagine how as education minister can come with such a decision to use the tax papers money to punish non other than the tax payers themselves.
Please be reminded that the tax payers money is holding by you who have been by democratic voting system on trust of the people. As far as the education is concern the money come from the federal. As far as PTPTN existed it should not discriminate the students come from which institution but what is important these students are the tax payers children, they are the rakyat.
How can a minister who can not differential this simple logic still hold on the post. He should resign in shame
You call that a blunder? Oh no. U aint see no nutin’ yet man. Greater cock ups and phaaark ups are on the way.
We all know that they are stupid.
And now, they think that the rakyat are as stupid?
May be they don’t realise that the rakyat are laughing at them!
GUTLESS
Khaled Nordin, so u expect the selangor govt to solve higher education money in just 1 or 2 days,?? You did a 360 degree turn in less than 48 hours, what a nonsense!! You are a silly nut
