In Bersih We Believe

by Allan CF Goh

Let us continue the good fight,
Till the day dawns when right is might.
Let righteousness reign so supreme,
In spite of vile threats so extreme.
Let’s not be derailed by wild curs,
Barking endlessly, growling curse.
Let democracy shine so bright,
As to destroy any plight.
Let’s clean up the stained voting list,
Remove its sick malignant cyst.
Let us have clean fair election,
To ensure the best selection
Of principled folks who matter,
Not corrupt scums from the gutter.
Let Malaysia by run by the cream,
To realise people’s hope and dream.

  1. All that we know.
The question is how do we do it.
The only way….is with our votes…. but when will 13th GE be to settle all things?
Why are the reasons that Najib keep delaying and delaying.
    That we also know.

  2. Malaysiakini May 19 reported “an angry mob pelted stones at two DAP state assemblypersons and party supporters at a high tea event in Merlimau, Malacca that was to feature Ambiga”. It was reported “the group clad in red T-shirts – some were the same ones worn by the crowd at last week’s Umno 66th anniversary at Bukit Jalil stadium! The colour “red” against Bersih’s yellow – what does that reminiscent of??? It’s Ok to “fight” for “righteousness” of Bersih’s cause “till the day dawns when right is might” but how is that “fight” to be carried out? If Bersih’s cause were to be fought not by votes of ballot box -cos ballot boxed don’t allegedly provide level playing field- but by hordes of yellow on the streets (as on 28th April), then isn’t this going to be hordes of yellow versus hordes of red also on the streets (as happened in Bangkok)? In Bangkok the two opposing camps driving the protests on the streets were the red-shirts and the yellow-shirts! Isn’t this the message to Ambiga/Opposition (something that Tunku Aziz foresaw and objected)???
