APRIL 22 — The mayor of Kuala Lumpur, or the man who heads the KL City Hall (DBKL), is a political appointee.
He is appointed by Prime Minister Najib Razak, and he takes orders from Putrajaya. It is not an independent DBKL, as Home Minister Hishammuddin Hussein would have us believe, that the people at DBKL make decisions independently or without fear or favour.
DBKL listens to Najib, Federal Territories Minister Raja Nong Chik Raja Zainal Abidin, or any other Barisan Nasional power broker.
So Hishammuddin can save his act about hoping DBKL will offer the organisers of Bersih 3.0 the alternative of Stadium Merdeka, now that DBKL has denied approval for the use of Dataran Merdeka.
The Cabinet, in which Hishammuddin is a member, decided that Dataran Merdeka is off limits and wants to confine Bersih 3.0 to Stadium Merdeka and this information has been communicated to DBKL.
But here is the minister trying to hoodwink Malaysians into thinking a) that he is a reasonable chap; b) that the Datuk Bandar is some independent-minded chap and c) that the BN government is really unconcerned about Bersih 3.0.
This is the depth of the ministers; they get some talking points prepared for them by the government’s communications team and think that it sounds intelligent.
No one who has had any dealings with DBKL doubts that they are bound by instructions from Putrajaya!
One puppet employed…covering up an idiotic Home Minister is what Najib needs constantly to do….as the idiotic Home Minster will also cover up the idiotic moves and actions made by his cousin.
Nothing surprising when Govt. is managed by a bunch of clowns…..who are actually big time crooks…performing the many balancing acts…like idiots.
The famous comment of today is…..
“I don’t need to comment. I don’t want to comment” said Najib ..on Scorpion submarines….asked by two groups of NGOs.. and walked away.
That must be the shortest interview he gave as PM.
///So Hishammuddin can save his act about hoping DBKL will offer the organisers of Bersih 3.0 the alternative of Stadium Merdeka, now that DBKL has denied approval for the use of Dataran Merdeka.he stadium, operated by Perbadanan Stadium Merdeka/// But who is DBKL to offer Stadium Merdeka when it is not owner of it? But if Bersih 3.0 is not good enough for Dataran, will Stadium Merdeka’s owners decline its venue based on same reasons of DBKL for Dataran – it’s a heritage building, site of one of Malaysia’s most historically significant events, declaration of independence on 31st August 1957, when power was transferred from the British Empire to the newly independent Malayan government?? Who are the owners of Stadium Merdeka ? Though managed by Badan Warisan Malaysia (The Heritage of Malaysia Trust) the site is owned by PNB that purchased it in 2000. And who is ultimate owner of PNB? PNB is a wholly owned subsidiary of Yayasan Pelaburan Bumiputra ) (“YPB”)? Its not clear or deliberately kept not clear who shareholders or key executives. Maybe PR Selangor MB Khalid Ibrahim would know. He was PNB’s CEO (1979-1994). One of the reasons why PR’s victory is not an option is that if it wins, the question arises, who’s taking over the vast monies/investments held through PNB/ASM; who’s going to have a say over Petronas’s billions both in and off balance sheet??? This is serious money.
///No one who has had any dealings with DBKL doubts that they are bound by instructions from Putrajaya!///
Lim Guan Eng also warned that if DBKL denied approval for the use of Dataran Merdeka, it showed Datuk Bandar took instructions from Najib.
“I don’t need to comment” can be translated as he is protect by all his crooks. He falls…..UMNO b party falls.
“I don’t want to comment” is because he cannot defend himself at all.
It’s like catching a crook and questioning him….where he will give replies…”I forgot”….14 times …..being questioned.
Sound familiar?
This is the depth of the ministers; they get some talking points prepared for them by the government’s communications team and think that it sounds intelligent.
It sounds awfully stupid!Every one of it!Government without proper brain function is what Bolehland is.Just do it at Dataran Merdeka and stop playing along fool with those robotic monrons of UmnoPutras.
Umno now resorts to indirect means to counter the people’s demands for freedom (in this case the freedom to assemble). It is just like in a war zone. The enemy, feeling the intense and unbearable pressure of the fast advancing army, is under order to back-off. Yup. Kinda right for us, I reckon. So march on people.
Now Hishamuddin wants them to hold it at a stadium “IF” approval is given by the stadium authorities. I am sure he has already given instructions that such approval would not be given or stalled till after the 28th.
