MARCH 13 — It is not surprising that PM Najib Razak says that the government will give cash to Malaysians if revenue goes up. He has found out that his disbursement of RM500 has been a success. Nothing it seems keeps Malaysians happy than some lucre in the pocket.
Najib knows this and if it means emptying the coffers to win the election he will do it. The PM a great believer in deal-making knows that RM500 will…
•persuade many Malaysians to have amnesia and forget the catalogue of flip-flops and mistakes from Najib who has inherited mantle of flip-flop king from Abdullah Badawi.
•make Malaysians forget about the string of corruption issues and dodgy deals from the development of land near Martrade (Naza TTDI) to the rm9 billion patrol boats to the super sweetheart West Coast Highway deal (60 year toll concession) to the RM2.2 billion Kidex highway.
•help Malaysians forget about how the power and might of the state was brought to bear on ordinary citizens who were marching for clean elections.
•lull Malaysians into complacency that they forget that Indonesians, Bangladeshis and other foreigners are being “allowed” to vote.
•convince Malaysians that Najib is a decent chap, despite allegations that the powerful and connected and people from his inner circle are making much hay while the sun shines. Forget about the RM24 million ring and the shopping trips.
•get Malaysians to focus on material wellbeing instead of focusing on fighting evil and injustice.
•persuade Malaysians that the government is really prihatin and has the welfare of Malaysians at heart, instead of asking why the national debt has reached unheard of levels and pondering about a government which has to buy its way to power.
•hope that Malaysians forget that everything about this government is about announcements and launches and where consultants are paid mega bucks to recycle ideas as Government Transformation.
Yes, the government hopes that the occasional RM500 will be like a drug to Malaysians and they want us hooked for life.
RM500 will…
•persuade Malaysians that Al-Tantuyah personally erased the immigration records of her entry into Malaysia, then ‘borrowed’ some C4 from the military, shot herself in the head, and then detonated herself.
•make Malaysians forget that Shahreezuk’s RM350 million = 700,000 times RM500
Apart from the RM500 bribe……

This is because he grasps the truism that people (by which expression it means majority) always elect and get the kind of government they deserve.
This also that if the minority fail to persuade the majority to vote otherwise, the minority will correspondingly get government they don’t deserve.
This is the perdition of the so called democratic process based on system of 1 man 1 vote where the majority’s will prevails and where also the vote of one fool neutralizes the other vote from the wise, and if there are more fools than the wise, all are on the road to Zimbabwe due to this process of democracy.
The mamak achi said, “It was less than RM10 a month and he said that it was a statement of appreciation? As a minister in charge of the people’s welfare, I feel so ashamed!”
Her RM350million “gift” from unmo =3,500,000 x RM100!

Wouldn’t people turn to the opposition if Najib gives them less than RM500 or does not give them anything in the 14th GE?
That is why Jeffrey, the wise and the more informed must do their job to disseminate information to as many people as possible – that a good government is not just about dishing out money to all and sundries when the system they live in is inherently exploitative, corrupt and depraved. Perhaps the single most important question we must ask those who received the money is why despite working full time they are not able to make ends meet. The fundamental issues are fair wages, distribution of income and cost of living. If these fundamental issues are not tackled, no amount of welfare payment is going to help. How much could RM500 help a family of four? Two weeks, then what?
Mr Goon, I think that writing here is an exercise in futility.
The owner of this blog, LKS may not even know what is discussed here.

That’s all!!!
RM500 is to corrupt as well the voters under the guise of taking care of his welfare, and if enough votes are garnered, kleptocracy can continue, which by the very fact of continuance, will undermine welfare for all because rent seeking has to be financed from raising taxes, direct or indirect, and costs of living. The issue in this coming election is test of collective moral fiber of majority of voters. As Pak Lah said, race issue will figure prominently. The appeal is made to the most basic & primordial of human nature – his insecurities whether his race and his pocket is taken off. Not issues of governance, right or wrong or rule of law etc. That is why they don’t care to give a satisfactory accounting to scandals or other than cosmetic gestures even to be seen upholding governance, right or wrong or rule of laws. They returning to and betting on basics – sentiments on race, religion and got money or not based on “you help me I help you”. They believe these count more than any other considerations. Their victory will again vindicate that these less meritorious considerations will always prevail and win the day, which of course does not speak well of moral and intellectual fiber as a whole in comparison to other more developed societies in global community. The lamp of home will dim further. That’s why the outcome of next GE is the watershed because it is trial of what kind of people we are by majority.
What kind of people/voters we are, as deserving of the kind of government we get, is also a function of what kind of education we have. Here the battle is lost long ago. They make sure the education system has elements to ensure its recipients will be receptive to support this kind of government. That completes the vicious cycle.
If someone could fly overseas in an exclusive jet for a private visit, could sleep in a RM60k a night suite while on holiday, could throw an engagement party that cost almost half a million ringgit and whose wife could routinely go shopping that burned RM300k a day, does that person look like someone who has the welfare of the people in his heart? We look at leaders based not on what they say or how much knowledge they have. We look at their value system. The present PM is too blue blood and too elitist to be of use to Malaysians. PR politicians must highlight issues that common folks can easily understand. It is useless to talk on policies when most do not understand or do not care (but I am not saying these are not important). It is useless to debate with this government on policies and good governance when it has nothing to offer. We know this government will continue to appeal to the raw instinct of the people – race and religion. PR too must counter by stating and highlighting things that are blatantly depraved for all to see. Cowgate is not the most expensive scandal, but it is the most effective because common folks can see it more clearly. Half a million engagement party or a 60k a night hotel suite are not the most expensive lifestyle but these are obscenities that common people can relate to. Has it ever occurred to you that the PM was quick to react when the engagement bill issue was highlighted, but for many other scandals (like for examples the exploits of AG, IGP or DG of ACA/MACC), he either ignored or gave very little explanation.
Ya, they give u 500rm which is our money anyway, then raise your income tax. You have to pay 3 times more than the 500rm. Good deal. The umno regime way. This regime is beyond recycleable. Need to be buried for life.
Now this RM500 dispersement had been seriously abused. Many self employed high income earner do not declare tax more than RM3,000 to avoid being tax including SME businesmen and Ah Long. They also applied and got the money. This money came from the tax revenue from middle income employees that works in large corporations that are subjected to declare their income to the very last sen.
Ah Jib Gor, your stunts don’t deserved the word success.
That’s the difference between a stupid bumbling politician/PM and a savvy businessman.
The businessman will first determine whether he has made a real profit and has the cash flow to pay his staff bonus, his shareholders a dividend and donate money to chaiirty.
Here, with 54% record national debt and a weal global economy, PM ( I am ashamed to refer to him as PM) Najib is throwing money as though it belongs to his father!
What a sleazebag!
Dpp
we are all of 1 Race, the Human Race
RM 500 buys shameful conduct but do they really care ? All the exposures on corruption, on hypocrisy – they seem like water on a duck’s back. Maybe they are right – if you just maintain radio silence, and never answer your detractors, the Kampung folks might just buy it.
a branded imported item. Thing is all this while, the government did not give you RM 500 free of charge. So it is a big ang pow to 80 % of the selected population that can be manipulated. Most Malaysians do not know how the business world works on an international scale. Most Malaysians do not know how politics play on a grand scale. Most Malaysians do not know who are the actual key players, the movers and the shakers. So they do not mind if they are given peanuts. Until they know and understand how the system works, what system it is, many would just live one day at a time. They will not understand the fuss you are making because what you know is what they do not know.
Only pays for 1 person at Najib’s daughter’s engagement party – wife also cannot come..
Having received the 500 RM twice, the voters will now compute the amount they should have gotten if UMNOPutras had not sent trillion ringgit overseas. They will want a new government to claim those trillion ringgit, and they will each be entitled to 25,000 rm per. Yes, they want a change of government to claim the trillion ringgit.
The regime is feeding peanuts to the monkeys. Stupid monkeys would dance and praise the regime. Clever monkeys take the dough and kick them out. Every election year they dole out 500rm. Divided by 12 months, thats about 40pcs of nickel and copper ringgit. That’s the price of betrayal for Judas Malaysians.
