MARCH 3 — The spectacle of Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng being subjected by some Malay thugs to public harassment and humiliation on February 26 as he was leaving the anti-Lynas rally at Padang Kota in Penang caused a great deal of genuine pain to the sensibilities of men and women of goodwill in this nation.
Is this what the notion of “the new Malay” is really all about? Have they totally abandoned the natural courtesy and graciousness of their forebears? What has happened to the “adat”, or have they forgotten that too?
We may not like his politics but was that appropriate behaviour towards another human being? Lim is the head of government and must be shown all the courtesies attendant upon that position. That, in my book, is the norm of a civilised society, and anything less is unacceptable.
I attended a similar rally in Kuantan on the same day. It was a joy to see a well-behaved crowd of mainly young people from all over the country, including some from overseas, lending support to an important environmental concern without resorting to unruly and obnoxious behaviour.
The Kuantan police deserve the highest praise for their professionalism. They were there when needed, but otherwise remained in the background.
The Penang police, by comparison, were a disgrace to their uniform. They stood there, taking it all in but did absolutely nothing to stop the rowdyism that was showing all the signs of developing into violence.
Based on the video clips I watched, they did not go to the aid of the chief minister when he needed their intervention. This is the kind of attitude and behaviour that the police must change if they want to earn our respect and support. The police must be non-partisan.

I’s so disgusting to see that there are still some groups of barbarian roaming in our street.I wonder where’ll be the right place to put them(maybe zoo?) when PR took over Putrajaya?Worst still,no action has been taken against those equally barbarians in blue uniform for not taking any form of responsibility on their profession. Is this so-called the coming best democracy, Ajib kor kor?nah!!!Phui!!
Under UmnoB/Perkosa, some Malays OK 2 run amok, yelling racist slogans
Under MCA too, some Chinese can yell lies n finger point
Did you see the picture of that thug threatening with his shoe?
Is this what UMNO and its allies have degenerated to?
Ha ha ha, why is MCA and Gerakan so quiet?
Another case of “a question of angle”?
Oh, the wind was too strong, it blew some people off their feet?
Clearly, these thugs have got no brain, they only know how to use force!
Talking of reform?
Ha ha ha, they have no clue!
True, those UMNO fellas are begaving like streets thugs. They are no different from those MCA guys during the debate between LGE and CSL. The images of Jessie Ooi really sends shocked me. Even a lady in MCA can be so rowdy and hostile, what more the other male members. The public should be aware by now that BN can no longer run the country effectively with all those clowns as members
Show the videos of the rakyat being attacked by those unmo thugs and there is a great probability of all the 11 Penang seats presently held by unmo falling to PR in the 13GE
I see most of the samseng there were mamak. The Malaysian government like to spend money. So, why not spend more money to learn from UK government about this:

Since the UMNO and Perkasa do not like Chinese and Indians, they do everything to discriminate/marginalise Chinese and Indians: least funding of schools, discriminate them in every aspects, no approval of permanent residency state for foreign waves, etc.
UMNO would have no problem then to use racial base quota, e.g., for university intake, etc.
So, why not give a state for them to form their own country like Singapore? Why not give Penang (no resources) plus south Kedah or/and north Perak to them?
In this way, there would be least and almost no racial base problem, dilemmas, issues, etc.
