KUALA LUMPUR, July 3 — Datuk Seri Najib Razak kept mum today when asked to state whether he was a proponent of his own two-year-old 1 Malaysia policy that espouses being “Malaysian first”.
The country’s sixth prime minister was responding to questions posed by Malaysian students at the Malaysian Student Leaders Summit (MSLS) here.
A student had asked Najib whether he was prepared to state that he was Malaysian first and what he thought of his deputy, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin’s infamous remark of being “Malay first and Malaysian next.”
Najib did not answer the question directed at him.
“I don’t want to respond in a way that will divide me from my deputy.
“1 Malaysia is our guiding philosophy. It does not matter what you say, just as long as you follow (the 1 Malaysia concept),” he said today.
Najib’s 1 Malaysia concept has been heavily attacked by Pakatan Rakyat (PR) lawmakers who have labelled it as meaningless after Muhyiddin made the proclamation last year.
To date, only Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz has publicly stated his acceptance of the 1 Malaysia idea.
Najib also added that the 1 Malaysia concept was in tandem with the federal constitution, and that while the government pushed for meritocracy and equality, any developments in that direction would be in line with the country’s laws.
Typical najib.
NO guts.
NO bola.
No brains.
No wit.
No common sense.
No presence of mind.
And then to cown it all….some stupid answer.
‘I don’t want to split with my deputy’. Ha, ha. Moo is mooing away to the throne.
Smart student, stupid Najib.
He thought he did not answer!, actually he did and we all know it.
1Malaysia, hahahahahaha. Now it is all about survival, for himself.
We need to change the tenant at Putrajaya
“1 Malaysia is our guiding philosophy. It does not matter what you say, just as long as you follow (the 1 Malaysia concept),” Najib said today.
So what is he saying? That he expects all Malaysians to practise this noble idea while he and his Deputy happily go and practise their racist agenda? “Do as I say but don’t do as I do”?
He is pathetic. This poor excuse of a man, let alone a PM, does not even have the guts to stand up and be counted. If you agree with your deputy, say so and explain your stand. Likewise, if you disagree with him( as he had openly and blatantly done with your 1Malaysia concept) also say so and explain why you disagree with him.
No stand is the stand of a coward.
The way he answered questions put forth by students was not becoming of a PM but one that keep making excuses….with silly answers…from a low class PM indeed.
///I don’t want to respond in a way that will divide me from my deputy.///
That means Najib agreed that he is Malay first and Malaysian next.
NR, a liar 说谎, 说话是不算数
“1 Malaysia is our guiding philosophy. It does not matter what you say, just as long as you follow (the 1 Malaysia concept),”.
It does matter what you say. Can you imagine what will happen to you if you are Obama and you tell the Americans that you are a black first follow only as Americans as the elected President of USA! That is what your deputy did and he doesn’t even know why he is so unpopular. Now you know why you should say you are Malaysian first follow by a Malay second to be politically correct. If you think politically correct is not important for you, think again because the non Malays in the country constitute more than 40% of the population and many learned Malays don’t think very much of your intellectual capacity either from the rubbish that comes out from your mouth.
“I don’t want to respond in a way that will divide me from my deputy”. However it is alright for the Deputy to respond in a way that will divide him from supposedly his boss & his main plocy platform! OK loh. How can by this power of example students are expected to just follow (the 1 Malaysia concept) that the Deputy appears to have repudiated?
Najib is clinging on to power by trying to be nice to all Ministers…on my hand….and on the other….keep ignoring accusations so as not to make things worst for him.
He is a very cunning ….insincere PM.
He is so stupid / HP6 for not answering a simple question … still thinking of Altantuya? or being haunted by her ghost? or what? Rosmah giving him headache?
What does he think his job is? Some lowly Accounting or IT manager? Don’t want to deal with the challenge to authority and strategic direction of the country? If he want to be some low life bureaucrat, why is he even in politics much less the PM job?
The man does not even know what his job IS????
I read the piece …..but if you have view the video and see how the students smart questions…all been answered by Najib with his usual evasive self.
Before answering…he took time to give long speeches on “1Malaysia” and all the nonsense.
The moment he spoke…every student can see and feel his cunning and insincere character.
Ask about this or that…his answers are still under testing and all will be revealed in good time.
Not one question have a clear straight forward reply.
This partnership was doom from the on-set. In the Chinese zodiac it is a mismatch, as we have seen on countless occasion, there is a serious clash of personalities.
There must be compromises and sacrificies but it is so hard to relate to each other and there will be no communication between the two as predicted.
Constant bickering and the relationship may be short-lived which maybe good for the Rakyat.
God only knows why Najib choose this situation in the 1st place?!
