KUALA LUMPUR, July 11 — Anti-Bersih supporters have mounted a petition online, threatening to abandon its support for Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s administration if the prime minister fails to revoke the citizenships of Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Datuk Ambiga Sreenavasan and punish Bersih marchers.
Pledging one million signatures, the petition started by one Rahmat Azim Abd Aziz, 39, warns Najib against ignoring its five demands, saying its signatories would not hesitate to rebel to defend Malaysia, “even without the help of Datuk Seri’s (Najib) government”.
As of 8pm today, the petition entitled, “Legal action and recommendations to His Royal Highness the Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia to revoke medals and accolades” has attracted 173 signatures.
It was created on petitiononline.com, a site that hosts online public petitions for free, but Facebook users have since caught wind of it and are sharing links to the site on fan pages and their profile pages, urging others to sign it.
“If Datuk Seri does not take stern action and monitor subversive elements and efforts to tarnish the country’s image, Malaysians will lose direction and faith in your leadership.
“When this happens, traitors to the country will find it easier to take over our beloved Malaysia. Datuk Seri’s efforts will become pointless and the futures of our youths will become uncertain,” the petition said.
Claiming to represent the views of a majority of the government’s supporters, the petition urged that its demands be given “full and serious” consideration, saying that “peace, harmony, unity and Malaysia’s economic strength” are important elements for the present and coming generations.
“Racism and disunity have become more widespread due to incitement from opposition parties, NGOs and foreign agents. We want stability, economic strength and unity.
“All of Datuk Seri’s efforts in developing the economy will be destroyed in the blink of an eye simply because of those who are uncomfortable with seeing progress in Malaysia,” said the petition.
In its demands, the petition called on the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin to revoke the titles of Ambiga, Anwar, PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang and national laureate Datuk A. Samad Said.
It also wants Anwar and Ambiga’s citizenships revoked, saying the duo had instigated the people to riot, rebel and defy the country’s rule of law.
It also demands that legal action be taken against any of the 91 individuals who violated a court order obtained by the police barring them from entering the city on July 9.
Among those who were locked out were Ambiga, Anwar, Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin, and Perkasa president Datuk Ibrahim Ali.
The petition also seeks legal action against Bersih 2.0 organisers for supposedly defying the King’s advice, and the over 1,000 protestors who were arrested for participating in an illegal rally.
Pro-Bersih supporters have also started a similar campaign on Facebook through a fan page calling for Najib’s resignation.
The page, which was set up shortly after Saturday’s rally, hit its 100,000 target at 3.50am this morning and has continued growing since then. As at 8pm today, a total of 136, 902 people have clicked “Like” on the page.
20K got added to in 6 hours for Najib’s resignation..120 on the petition.

Perkasa swines in disguise?
Didn’t Nazri declare this group illegal? So if they are illegal they have no locus standi to make any demands.
And didn’t Najib claim credit on Sunday 10th that he/UMNO send this bunch of illegal rabble rousers( by their own admission) onto the streets? And did he not also praise them and their copycat chief Khairy in his speech? So this is UMNO gratitude for you.
But, no one believe any of this crap anyway. It is just some bit part political opportunist pathetically trying to capitalise on the situation and hoping to make themselves relevant for the upcoming GE.
So Najib needs to contend not only with Bersih but also Anti Bersih. To manage the manifold conflicting pressures he knows he has to make complex choices and in this he has improved over his immediate predecessor in that he canvasses for “advice” beyond his immediate family members. He has got this “national communications” team (if RPK is to be believed) that advised per June 17 memo on how to demonise Bersih. One can only guess that the members are the bright young chaps he could recruit likely from media industry whose forte is in more in Public relation and Communications department. The name of the game (he’s probably advised by APCO) is how to manage public perception – not to disseminate the truth – to recover BN’s dominance at the polls. But something has gone very wrong because on 9th July it was Bersih that won the Public Relations, not the Najib administration. He should look into this. What’s the quality of these advisors? Their advice – on what to do- makes or breaks him. The show of force by PDRM, water cannons helicopters, are but the “kaki tangan” that implement policies. It is the formulation of policies that is more important and the quality of people that advises on this formulation that makes the ultimate difference and dictates the outcome of “faith” in his leadership.
Anti-Bersih supporters all of you are just trying to hood-wink malaysians.Just see how much supporters you have.Trying to get some attention but at last Bersih supporters world- wide nation-wide with one spit of their saliva will creat an ocean of saliva to drown all of you.
Home Minister Kerismuddin claimed that there were less than 10,000 protesters, and they could not represent 26 million Malaysians.
Whether or not it was less than 10,000, they represent those who went against police intimidation. There are million others who were scared of police brutality and thus dared not present themselves at the rallies. So, 10,000 does not represent the total number who are opposed to government actions and wanted Bersih.
The government prevents people going to Bersih rallies and then claimed that people did not support Bersih. It is just like the BN government got into power by unfair means and then claimed that majority of the voters did not support the opposition. It is precisely because of the need to change the election system to enable the voices of the people be heard that Bersih was launched. The way Home Minister argues that less then 10,000 protesters were present shows that UMNO cannot move away from manipulating election process.
Having blocked Malaysians from attending Bersih rallies, the government cannot use the statistics to argue. The number of persons present was irrelevant because they represented only a fraction of whose who support Bersih,; the true number could be a hundred fold. That is too subtle for thick skull to understand!
Stupid petition. Stupid idea. Petitioning for the impossible. Jibby jib is completely powerless in law to revoke the citizenship of anwar and ambiga, full stop. And yes, that means end of the road for the petition too.
So what are they doing now? As with all the other/previous actions and demands, they are asking for illogical, impractical or legally impossible (translated to illegal, if carried out) actions.
Silat exponents. 50,000 of them. Communist. Terrorist funding. Anti-islam. Topple the monarchy. Racial unrest. Perkasa rally. Umno youth rally. And look. None of these came true, you loud mouth idiots.
Just shut up. And sit down. Maybe go home and bonk you people’s wives. They ought to serve you people well. I mean, with the benefit of the obedient wives thingy, they ought to be hot.
If not for the lockdown at least 100 thousand marchers would turn up.Like I said before Abrahim Ali and Perkasa is a no show.Cowards don’t show up when the odds don’t favor them.
Continuing from preceding post the assistance of advisors is much in line with what American presidents have been doing. Per RPK’s revelations the national communications memo “states it was written up following an Umno political bureau meeting to discuss Bersih and was also circulated to bureau members”. This in part explains the fortress mentality or what Social anthropologist Datuk Shamsul Amri Baharuddin describes as “Cold War” mindset when responding to Bersih challenge. Such a team of advisers (may be influenced by Biro Tata Negara mindset & values) just cannot respond fast enough to read nuances of fast developing situations and present advice to exploit opportunities as they arise with astute political judgment!
Continuing from preceding posts Bersih already momentarily lost momentum when it had to heed the King’s advice to be confined to a stadium. Had he, on proper advice, acceded to Merdeka Stadium he have would looked good in deferring to the spirit of what the King exhorted and also keeping his original promise of the stadium. Instead he left it to Home Ministry/Police to say that Bersih was still out-law denying access to the Merdeka Stadium that straightaway provided Bersih a lifeline to resume its original game-plan of a high profile march and street to street engagement with security forces to generate this public relations disaster worldwide for the administration, that even now he has to do damage control. His advisors simply just did not step up to the plate! A team of advisors should be multidisciplinary people of caliber with independent thinking and not just those with BTN’s values (having to confer with UMNO political bureau) and just public relations/propaganda bias without moral compass or a full understanding of this new world of technology, face book, sms and internet on political thinking and influence on the masses. One gets lousy advice [Sledgehammer Bersih – Arrest and then give Buffet Lunch, Demonisation with Communist, Terrorist funding, Anti-islam, Revocation of Ambiga’s citizenship] one suffers lousy consequences, the long and short of it.
No worries. He’s gone on tour and will be on holidays.
An UMNO party coup d’etat anyone?
