Just saw the unusual Merlimau and Kerdau double by-election polling day statement by MCA President Datuk Seri Dr. Chua Soi Lek, which is reported by The Malaysian Insider under the headline “Dr. Chua: Kit Siang using PKFZ as vote bait”.
Congratulations! The MCA President has issued a statement which even MCA leaders and members don’t believe, let alone the Malaysian people at large.
I am not interested in trading accusations.
What is obvious is that Chua continues to avoid the issues raised by the corruption charges preferred against the former No. 1 and No. 2 of MCA when they were Transport Ministers in connection with the RM12.5 billion Port Klang Free Zone (PKFZ) scandal, including:
Firstly, why the MCA President dare not declare that the MCA and in particular the MCA leadership are convinced that the two former top MCA leaders were innocent of the corruption charges made against Ling and Chan in connection with the PKFZ scandal?
Secondly, why he dare not declare that Ling and Chan are victims of selective prosecution by the Attorney-General, Tan Sri Gani Patail, when no other political personalities particularly from UMNO, have been charged for the same PKFZ scandal?
Or is Chua seriously suggesting that if he declares that Ling and Chan are innocent of the corruption charges, and that he is confident that their corruption trials will clear them of all charges of corrupt practices, he would be interfering in the process of the judicial system?
Clearly Chua has very poor legal as well as political advisers – as in believing that these questions are only pertinent to the Merlimau and Kerdau by-elections!
Or are there anyone in the MCA leadership who think that both Ling and Chan should have been charged with more serious offences, as those recommended by the Parliamentary Public Accounts Committee, in the PKFZ scandal – apart from hauling the court all political personalities including from UMNO involved in the RM12.5 billion “scandal of scandals”?
Why the MCA President dare not declare this & that is because he, in his infinite wisdom, is aware of this immutable political reality – that within the larger body politic of the patronage system of the ruling coalition/parties, MCA is but just an appendix – which though dependent on the blood flow from the central body, which it gets a proportionate little for sustenance, – it is however an unnecessary appendage – so that if it talks too much questioning the prosecutorial discretion in the charging of its former leaders, it will be viewed an inflammatory appendix and an appendicitis to the main body politic, to be severed from it with no consequence to the main body but with every consequence to the appendage severed which will be deprived of the precious blood flow to which it has become accustomed since the time of its inception, and striking the Faust Bargain.
UMNO allowed a few Chinamen to squander RM12.5 billion. UMNO may be incompetent but obviously they are not that stupid when come to pilfering public money. How does a minister deceive the Cabinet or the PM in their official capacity? Either the Cabinet or the PM are stupid or knowingly wanted to be deceived.
Then the letters of support issued by transport minister. Why in the hurry to interpret that these letters of support as obligations of the government. Kuala Dimensi and all the bond arrangers/issuers are sophisticated businessmen and investors. They are no nincompoops. They ought to know these letters of support are no letters of guarantee. So why billions of bonds were issued and bought based on a few worthless letters of support? It is that simple: there is a conspiracy to cheat the government and there is now a conspiracy to protect Kuala Dimensi and all the bond investors. All these can not be done by the Minister of transport alone, no way. Chinaman ministers should know better. First you have no power, and second you are stupid thinking that UMNO will protect you. Tan Koon Swan masuk penjara di Singapore and Malaysia bukan? It is a record that is hard to break.
///Why Chua Soi Lek dare not declare that Ling and Chan were innocent and that they are victims of selective prosecution by Attorney-General?///
There are two possible answers to the above question.
1) Chua Soi Lek knows full well that the prosecution is merely a play and that after the Merlimau and Kerdau by-elections, the duo (Chan and Ling) will be freed.
2) “Big brother” Umno gave the order to have Chan and Ling charged. Chua, being subservient to Umno, was too timid to bargain with “Big brother” to have Chan and Ling freed or replaced with Umno personalities.
Chua Soi Lek trying hard to get Lim Kit Siang’s attention to be a somebody.
And so he gets it…with LKS comments that CSL will never dare to respond…proving he is talking through his nose.
If CSL is a sincere MCA politician…he should put his head down feeling shameful…vast majority Chinese do not support him or his party.
This useless puppet of Najib do talk like an idiot…day in day out and why not…he is a confirmed idiot..as all can read from his stupid face.
Chua Soi Lek, what have you got to say? MCA was caught red-handed, by DAP people, giving out RM100 bribes to Chinese voters of Merlimau. The reporter from China Press was threatened to erase all photos taken on the spot. Fortunately some erased photos were recovered by DAP through computer technology.
Chua Soi Lek, are you going to tell us afterwards that Merlimau Chinese have returned support to BN?!!

How does PAS expect simple minded nonMuslims 2 support its candidate when PAS always says d wrong thing at d critical moment – scare them off lor
D pendulum swing effect does not bode well 4 PAS n PR in d next GE – 308 is history
I feel sad to see the outcome of both voting. Are they seriously not knowing who is damaging Malaysia??
///Barisan Nasional has won both the Merlimau and Kerdau by-elections with increased majorities.
Merlimau: Roslan Ahmad (BN) 5962, Yuhaizad Abdullah (PAS) 2319, Majority: 3643 votes
Kerdau: Syed Ibrahim Syed Ahmad (BN) 5060, Hassanuddin Salim 2336, Majority: 2724 votes///-The Star online
So Najib will call for early election, possibly before July together with Sarawak. No one is certain whether that was Rosmah factor or Najib factor.
Najib said that if not for Rosmah, Malaysians in Egypt would not have been able to return during the uprising in Egypt. It means that Rosmah is singlehandedly more capable than Malaysian mission in Cairo, and perhaps the whole of the Foreign Ministry. If the personnel of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs together with the Foreign Minister could not perform as well as Rosmah, Najib should sack the Foreign Minister and make Rosmah take his place. Bring back the mission in Cairo since they were not able to do anything better than Rosmah sitting in PutraJaya. Najib can make Rosmah a senator to carry out those function. But then the official title of first lady carries more official weight, so Najib thinks. But then, in the Presidential system, the wife of the President is first lady. In Malaysia where the King is the head of state, isn’t the King the First Gentleman and the Queen the First Lady? If so, then the government had spent millions hosting a First lady conference without the First Lady participating in that conference. If the meeting was not officially correct, then the government expenditure on it cannot be officially sanctioned. The Accountant General should take note of it.
///How does PAS expect simple minded nonMuslims 2 support its candidate when PAS always says d wrong thing at d critical moment/// – #6 boh-liao
This is because on the eve of polls – the critical moment – what is said by PAS that appeals to its traditional constitutency to garner votes is exactly the kind of things which repels the non malay constitutency, and vice versa what is said that assuages and comforts the non malay constitutency is also that which does not appeal at all to its traditional constitutency.
Can a commitment in marriage of spouses of different temperament and values (including attitudes to expression in sex) be happy and conflict free when living together under the same roof just because they share the common aspiration to have a roof over their heads to shelter from rain and storm and pooling their combined resources together could provide the affordability of a house?
Life is replete with examples that it is only a matter of time when they will fight bitterly for ownership of the house – and custody of their children – to the exclusion and marginalisation of the other.
.
If CSL talks too much, do remember his ACT is still chargeable. I was told crimes have no expiry date?
We have a system that gives free lunches to the majority. The system will go on like a fast train until it reaches Cassandra crossing. 30% of the people, no matter how productive, can not support 70% to perpetual free lunches. This is the system we have today. Government throwing money at students to study nincompoop courses in nincompoop countries and when there is trouble, the government provides free air tickets and pocket money for them to take a holiday. Are all these for real and sustainable? How populist can we get? Where the money is coming from? No wonder inflation is everywhere. PM said scholarships are investment. Well, if after enjoying the scholarships, these students come back to depend on government for jobs and handouts, I am sure these are money down the big drain.
in view of the circumstances nowadays , its just for the pantomine just b4 the general elections
If u watched the interview by astro 301 the lady reporter with the villagers there, u understand why. They led simple lives, so to speak. They said they r happy with bn and that bn gave them everything they wanted thus far. Some indian said their grandparents and parents told them so to vote for bn…
Well, they definitely dont hv children who were ill treated by the authorities like kugan, teoh bh and aminulrasyid and they dont know their living conditions could hv been so much better without blatant abuse of power, corruptions, etc, etc. A very sorry state of Malaysia.
baochintian, wonder why there are still so many people love to be dragged by the nose.I tried my own and it hurts.Sure, try it yourself. Are they pervert or just sheer illiterate or couldn’t be bother type?
MCA ex-presiden couldn’t even challenge my bos,a non politician.I heard it from the horse’s mouth. It’s just the puppet to entertain as host to the chinese audience and worst of all,a runner as foe to or behind chinese audience. It’s called ‘chau kau’ that sound woof woof in hokkien.
In today’s 8pm news, I saw Chua saying that DAP should not talk of this issue or DAP is in contempt of court, and said no body is guilty untill the court pronounce them guilty, this remark makes me think of immeadiately why ISA which jail people without even going to court is not objected by Chua Soi Lek or MCA?.
The news followed by Ong Tee Kiat (former transport minister) who said that a poject this big, is approved and signed by all levels in the BN government, why do all this UMNOs big shot who signed the approvals do not fall together????.
It is clear that MCA are picked as scapegoat, the questions now is why these leaders in MCA voluntarily wanted to go through this embarrassment and disgrace, where are their dignity???. Double crossing their own people and race for the benefit of themselves. Is this a political party where we can depend on????. The answer is ; NO.
For just a mere RM100, these Merlimau chinese voters are willing to part off with their votes???
Well, they might be worst that those indians in Hulu Selangor which got RM250.
Never believed that they’re so cheapskate of that kind.
Anyway, don’t feel sad about the outcome because we have’nt seen the last yet.
What we need is the 13th GE and that’s where the real battle begin.
We need to lure Najib and gang and make them think that the people are turning back to them so that they will call for the next GE.
We just play dumb at the present moment and we’ll hit them hard till the times come.
So, let’s stop complaining and let them enjoy their small victory!
Now that BN have won the 2 by-elections…wait for Chua claiming Chinese have gone back to support MCA.
It appears PAS is weak amongst Malays having made its party into a multi racial party.
It appears race politics is very strong in Malaysia.
It appears Najib is getting more support as he said.
Bookies made millions on two games involving Manchester United….which is famous to loose important games and win the Cup.
Betters are in no mood to talk small stuffs.
All are waiting for he 13th GE and be doine with it…which I still say…a new Govt. will march to PutraJaya sooner or later.
Nothing stays permanent.
Whatever the outcome of 13th GE maybe…DAP will stay strong…especially in Penang and Perak.
Remember one old fella who cried, “Saya pantang di cabar”, when he won a big majority in the 2004 GE.
He was so over confidence and was badly “beaten” in the 13th GE after that.
Now come one Najib and the Moo fella, who was so cocky that they think that they can win big every time as for now.
Let’s give them a big surprise and show them the way out for good!
Ppl like 2 shiok diri n think dat PR has a chance 2 march 2 Putrajaya after d next GE
But ppl forget REAL politics – d GE results will b determined by a large grp of ignorant, simple minded voters (rural or urban), who will cross BN 4 RM50 or 100 or out of fear 4 PAS, PKR or DAP
These voters don’t care abt corruption, abuse of power, murder, exploitation, lie
Just look at Sarawak, every1 knows d evil n corrupt CM n his families n cronies
Yet without fail every GE d voters voted 4 d same old evil n corrupt CM n his party
Furthermore, PR remains a weak coalition with no clear unified ideology but shifting principles – PKR is weak but wants 2 act as tai ko, PAS is ding ding dong dong
That is why when he was cabar, whatever pantang came true!
People make decision on different reasoning. The Chinese in the two constituencies might reason that the outcome of the election would not change the government, it did not matter who won. So, they pocket the money, and make the government provide whatever UMNO promises. (MCA’s promise is useless!) It is hoped that when a GE comes along, they know that their votes matter.
Chua Soi Lek said that 60% of Chinese votes have gone back to BN, as though Chinese agreed to trade away their basic rights as citizens for peanuts. In saying what CSL had just uttered, he tells Najib that the discriminatory policies can continue. MCA was dead starting from Tan Siew Sin. Since then all those who show sign to standing up to UMNO were removed, by no less the running dogs in MCA dancing to UMNO tune. Ong Tee Keat could have remained President if not for Najib urging a fight inside MCA, and the worst opportunist, who should have called himself Malay, LTL who first supported OTK to kill off Chua, and then crawled over to Chua to back-stab OTK.
Let’s hope that the two BN wins would make Najib call for GE soon. We want to see MCA demolished.
///Mar 7, 11 8:57am Palanivel said Indians need a felda-type scheme
‘Maybe it would be good if Palanivel send some of the MIC Datuks and Tan Sris to live and work in the estate for RM700.’ Palanivel tells urban poor to work in estates Collin Abraham: It is a sad day…
http://www.malaysiakini.com/news/157914///
FELDA scheme was not meant to be exclusively for Malays. Only Tun Razak made it so. Fifty years later, MIC suddenly realizes that some Indians should have also been on the special position needing assistance. Najib can’t even say Malaysia is for all Malaysians to have equal opportunity, would he agree to have Indians given a position his late father refused. And his late father’s wish is written in stone.
Interestingly, my every comment receives moderation.
Many would still say we will continue to fight the devil until we win but some may become pessimistic and choose to migrate. The whole trouble is the majority and ignorant voters remain apathetic or they are the frogs beneath the coconut shell.
CSL was caught on video with his pants down and a mouthful of action against the order of nature. By his own admission which was publicly declared to all and sundry CSL also offered hard evidence that he had indeed committed sex crimes under Malaysian laws. He was deemed politically dead amidst conspiracy theories, internal and external investigations and secrecy surrounding the movie of the year but why isn’t there a kangaroo trial?
UMNO says they will defend their key office bearers to the death. Upon hearing this, CSL’s b@lls shrunk and he realised that it’s better to have this superior-subordinate relationship with UMNO than to be hauled in for committing a sex crime against the order of nature.
JUST GOT MODERATED AGAIN!
Better read and shut up for awhile.
Sorry …not moderated.
Comment completely thrown out!!!

This is harassment. This may be the only case in the world where the determination of an intentional fall, or a homicide is based on evidence given by persons not present at the scene of the fall. How can psychologists determine the intention of TBH based on the behaviour of others, to determine whether he committed suicide? If that was not relevant to the conclusion, why bother to interview them? The RCI would do better to hire Dr Richard Lee who was expert witness on the trial of OJ Simpson, to give give his authoritative conclusion based on the location of the body in relation to the building, to determine whether TBH could have jumped or was he dropped from the 14th floor of the MACC building. The issue of whether TBH was conscious or not during the fall could not change the distance from the wall where he landed. Certainly a unconscious person could not have resisted being carried around.
Why did the police restrict the pathologists in their first autopsy to find evidence to support suicide, rather than to determine the most probable cause, including homicide?
Moderator should speed up the work. It is not acceptable to have the piece hanging over days.
Not acceptable to have the piece “hanging” ? Tell that to CSL. He had the piece hanging in his famour DVD.
famous, I mean
Thy rod and thy staff do not comfort me.
They lead me to tong sampah many times.
WHY SO????
///Firstly, why the MCA President dare not declare that the MCA and in particular the MCA leadership are convinced that the two former top MCA leaders were innocent of the corruption charges made against Ling and Chan in connection with the PKFZ scandal?///–Kit
They are convinced that the two person are guilty and that is why CSL said that since the AG had charged them, they should face the music.
CSL dared not utter a word against the fact that some UMNO members who were perhaps the masterminds of the PKFZ swindle scheme remain not charged. He was afraid to incite the AG to do a more thorough work of charging MCA members over all possible offences, such as acting in the well known video.
The two one time leaders of MCA were not involved in the corruption process of PKFZ. If they shared the spoils, that would be difficult to verify, since one of them has a very resourceful son who was able to own a billion ringgit company at age below 30. Mamakthir’s cabinet are full of ministers who were able to create wealth in billion ringgit enterprises. Is that FungSui, or fang sui ( letting water out)?

You can say anything you want about the nutcase Ridhuan Tee Abdullah. He is already a constitutional Malay, so he doesn’t need to mix with the Chinese.
When he buys a house, he is entitled to the 10 pct bumi discount. He gets share allocations that we don’t get. His children gets priority for scholarships. He is entitled to ask for APs.
Nah, he doesn’t have to mix around with his roots anymore. He is already the owner of a brand new crutch, and is enjoying it. This is what CSL and the MCA goons are aspiring for – maybe by playing along with UMNO, some goodies will be left on the table ?
Loh mentioned “Malay dilemna” somewhere. Actually it was his response to dr mamak’s comment expressed again somewhere (presumably dr mamak’s own blog).
Tell you wot. “Malay dilemna”. Wot is it, actually. Cant tell you dat boy. Coz its kinda complex. But do try this. It gives you a purty good idea – I guess. Yes “malay dilemna”. 200 grams. Smash it. Pound it. Boil it – errr, double boil if you prefer – for 10 hrs. Do not add water. Boil till all water has evaporated but remember to leave the pounded malay dilemna moist at the bottom.
And then taste it. Wot do you think it will taste like.
My guess, chapati with dal.
Your guess, chapati with dal, is dead wrong.
It is toddy with betelnut, the favourite of the mamak.
When Lim Guan Eng was new to the post as CM, there was a demonstration at Kamtar by the so-called Malays complaining about marginalization of Malays. They were 500 of them protesting, and they looked more like members of MIC, but they were fighting for Malay rights. No long thereafter, some 1,000 persons, who are Malays by sight and possibly from PAS came out and filled the space between the MIC Malays and Komtar building, and they told the 500 MIC-type Malays to pass through them before getting to LGE. Luckily the police did not dispersed the PAS Malays, and the MIC Malays left subsequently.
Now we see people who are using the careless definition on the term Malay in the constitution to demand that the assistance which the constitution intended for the needy be extended indefinitely, for the fake Malays. These NEWMalays are having free lunch, knowing well that the indignity of depending on crutches are suffered by true Malays and they want to take advantage of whatever that are given to the real needy beneficiaries. It is now the real new Dilemma for Malays, because article 160 was a floodgates that allowed pseudo Muslims to claim the status of special position. That of course dilutes the assistance that ought to have gone to the true Malays, besides when Mamak controlled the government, the fake Malays obtained the lion share, and true Malays were cut off. The Malays cannot even object to the way Mamakthir implemented the so-called affirmative AP-type of assistance. Malays are condemned as traitors if they wanted to change the approach adopted by UMNO which allowed corruption. Thus UMNO insisted that Malays should remain foolish to support UMNO and allowed the putras in UMNO to become rich and make the community proud. Before that UMNO first contaminated the community with NEWMalays.
MCA is just a rotten flower that will not bear a bud!
The two battles lost so much could that any possibilities vote may switch seem that the people in charge follow their instruction.
Just a thought.
CORRUPTION is the key as they cant get rid of it from their bottom to the top.
How much money Malaysia is in debt?
Food for thought:
We shall respect the outcome of Kerdau and Merlimau. They have the right to choose who they want.
Pakatan Rakyat should continue to do what they think as right and not succumb to the unnecessary demand by the people.
I have high regard on my secondary school teacher who was very strict and righteous with no special privilege to any student compare to another teacher who was very nice and semua boleh.
I prefer the former because I fit into his criteria but many liked the latter.

I have faith that one day my country will be a better place. I may not live to see that happens but my children will witness that, or their children will.
My parents have supported DAP for so many years, this will go on till that day finally comes.
