The outrageous parliamentary six-month suspension of four Pakatan Rakyat leaders, Parliamentary Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim (Permatang Pauh), DAP National Chairman Karpal Singh (Bukit Gelugor), PKR Deputy President Mohd Azmin Ali (Gombak) and PKR lawyer R. Sivarasa (Subang) in international consultancy firm APCO’s role in the “1Israel” “1Malaysia” controversy committed five cardinal injustices, viz:
Firstly, although Anwar was referred to the Parliamentary Committee of Privileges, he was denied of the full opportunity to substantiate his parliamentary speech linking 1Malaysia to APCO and the One Israel concept as the Barisan Nasional majority in the Commtitee of Privileges perversely decided to rely solely on a letter from APCO as the basis to penalize Anwar.
Secondly, the refusal of the Chairman of the Committee of Privileges, Tan Sri Pandikar Amin Mulia to accept the minority report prepared by Karpal and Sivarasa as part of the report of the Committee of Privileges to the House, demonstrating bias, unfairness and utter disregard of parliamentary conventions and accepted practices.
Thirdly, without giving Karpal, Azmin and Sivarasa notice and the fundamental right to be heard as referring them to the Committee of Privileges before charging them in Parliament for parliamentary contempt alleging that they had revealed information privy to the Committee of Privileges – going against the principles of natural justice.
Fourthly, forcing through the passage of the motion to suspend Anwar Ibrahim as MP for six months without any debate, which is completely unprecedented and unheard-of not only in the Malaysian Parliament but also in Parliaments of developed democracies.
Fifthly, the blatant conflict of interest committed by Pandikar in chairing the parliamentary proceeding to suspend Anwar, Karpal, Azmin and Sivarasa when he is also the Chairman of the Committee of Privileges and therefore party to the punitive actions against the four PR leaders.
I was not in Parliament on Thursday as I was in Bangkok with Dr. Chen Man Hin, Fong Kui Lun and Lee Kaw to attend the funeral service of Sdr. Fan Yew Teng, a great patriot who had always been a champion of the oppressed.
The outrageous parliamentary proceeding on Thursday to trample on all parliamentary conventions and practices and breach the fundamental rules of natural justice to suspend the four PR leaders from Parliament for six months is the latest proof that the Barisan Nasional government has not learnt from the lessons of the 308 political tsunami in the 2008 general elections which was a clear vote for national reforms to end the arrogance of power of unbroken Umno/BN rule for over half a century and that Umno/BN is incapable of change despite all the sloganeering of 1Malaysia, Government Transformation Programme, New Economic Model and Economic Transformation Programme.
It is now left to the Malaysian people to use their vote in the next general elections, which is not far away, to administer the full lesson by sending an unmistakable message that the country needs wide-ranging reforms and institutional changes, including Parliament, if Malaysia is to fulfill her promise to take her rightful place in the international arena as an united, competitive, progressive and prosperous nation in the international arena.
(Speech the Serdang DAP Branch anniversary dinner in Selangor on Friday, December 18, 2010)
We should not wait until the next GE to take action, especially for the people in Permatang Pauh, Subang, Bukit Gelugor and Gombak whom have lost their representation in parliament through unconstitutional and illegal removal of their elected MPs. This is a matter of serious public interest and the people must let their displeasure and disgust known over the unconstitutional, illegal, and politically motivated action of UMNO to remove their elected MPs. Let the voice of the people on the corruption and political hegemony of UMNO be made known throughout the whole country, and internationally. Why wait until the GE?

The mother of all cardinal injustices— how many billions have the those bn motherf**kers slashed away overseas?
How can we expect fair judgment from a PUPPET Speaker? PR should advise Tenang folks in the coming by-election to exercise their right to restore democracy in this country. Why wait until the next GE?
Cardinal injustices, they are aplenty.
The Pope of all injustices is the rape and plunder by BN for decades, particularly from the days of Tun M till today.
So let’s exorcise BN in next GE.
Everybody, let’s put our shoulders to the wheel and push.
My question is, how could be this allowed to take place when MCA, the so-called defenders of Chinese rights, are in the government. It’s even shameful that one MCA bloke is the Deputy Education Minister.
Now why are the Chinese still supporting MCA and Gerakan what have sold out the Chinse race for material perks. Why blame UMNO?
Come what may the entire Chinese community MUST reject this Chinese traitors in MCA and Gerakan in the next General Elections.
That’s the Hobson’s Choice for us or we perish or migrate.
Although God does not take sides in politics..I am a true believer that God listens to the prayers of people who have no selfish ulterior motives…praying ti be free….and God does work in mysterious ways.
For me…the suspension of the four…will work against Najib in the 13th GE…with greater numbers voting against BN.. that he will not know….what hits him…and by the time he realized…it is too late.
There is no such thing as a perfect human being.
And those from MCA and Gerakan supporting BN is natural..as selfishness and greediness are the two main factors that what makes religions are so powerful today……to prick into human conscience ..hearts and minds…to do the right things and live with dignities…with more peace and happiness for their short lives.. in this world.
Since UMNO B uses money and encourage corruptions…these two powerful sinful tools.. to get humans to submit and be controlled can only be the works of the Devil.
‘Forgive them …for they know not what they do”…so said Jesus.
And UMNO B twisted…Mohamed’s advises to steal from enemies is no sin and that.. an eye for an eye..a tooth for a tooth….advises.. by Mohammad….and twist those advises..to drum up hatreds amongst humans….which further proof…UMNO B is trully..a devilish party….and who is the mastermind and creator of UMNO B to encourage this?……no need to explain.
Until all treat everyone as equals….the so call minorities from MCA and Gerakan plus the so call majority in UMNO B…will always exists.
The point is…will the Devil still control Malaysia after 13th GE.
And that’s the point for all the MCA and Gerakan supporters….to prepare themselves to be judged…sooner or later….whether they have made terrible sins..to support corruptions and dividing humans.
For those members in UMNO B ….the Devil have been successfully controlling their minds,
Let their hearts control the minds and not let the minds control them.
That’s all we can hope and pray for.
PR do well to NOT take Tan Sri Pandikar Amin Mulia’s words seriously next time as his words cannot be trusted. Tan Sri Pandikar promised he would allow Anwar to explain but later changed his mind.
If we are not happy with the present gomen and its bunch of incompetent politicians, then vote the other way when the time comes.
Since the 6-months suspension and many other previously similar unjust decisions made by the not so ‘Mulia’ Pandikar Amin are considered outrageous, the opposition should just boycott the parliament.
There is NO injustice n there is NO outrageous in UmnoB/BN’s vocabulary
Everything CAN, including corruption n ‘moh-shi-yew’
Sure, UmnoB/BN kakis very arrrogant, cos they know they r untouchable
What can PR elected members do? NOTHING!
What can rakyat (d bosses) do? NOTHING!
