The weak-kneed Cabinet decision on the latest anti-1Malaysia offence of the Biro Tata Negara (BTN) is a great disappointment and shame and the greatest disservice to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s 1Malaysia concept.
In the first place, why was the announcement of the Cabinet decision to ask the Chief Secretary to investigate the latest racist remarks of a Biro Tata Negara (BTN) official made by the MIC Minister for Human Resources Dr. S. Subramaniam and not by the Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, who had chaired the Cabinet meeting during Najib’s absence?
Is it because the controversy over BTN’s latest offence against Najib’s 1Malaysia concept is regarded as a trivial matter not serious enough to warrant the personal attention and concern of the Deputy Prime Minister?
Secondly, the juxtaposition of the pronouncement by the Gerakan President and Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department, Tan Sri Dr. Koh Tsu Koon on the same day, warning against over-reaction in race disputes, seems to be a message on behalf of Umno leaders not to take too seriously the latest infraction of the BTN – serving only to undermine public confidence that much is to be expected of the Cabinet decision, especially bearing in mind the 48-day government inaction over the two school principals for their incendiary, racist and insensitive statements against students in school.
In fact, Tsu Koon seems to be speaking the same language as Perkasa which has claimed an overreaction with the issue “blown out of proportion” over the racist and derogatory remarks of BTN deputy director Hamim Hussain at a closed-door Umno Puteri meeting in referring to the Chinese and Indian communities as “Si Mata Sepet” (squinty-eyed) and “Si Kaki Botol” (alcoholics) respectively.
Thirdly, in failing to consider whether BTN should be dissolved, Cabinet has done a great disservice to 1Malaysia concept propounded by Najib.
This is not the first time that the BTN has proven that it is not fit to be an agency entrusted with the responsibility to instill patriotism among civil servants and undergraduates as it has emerged as the greatest enemy to Najib’s 1Malaysia policy by propounding the narrow and unconstitutional concepts of Malay supremacy, holding to the highly biased, prejudiced and jaundiced view that non-Malays are “kaum pendatang” whose loyalty to Malaysia are to be doubted.
In fact, one could say without fear of contradiction that the greatest concentration of racists in government are to be found in the BTN, and this is why the failure of any government action against the BTN is an immediate reflection on the hollowness of Najib’s recent declaration of “zero tolerance for racism” just before National Day and his United Nations speech calling on the moderates in the world to unite against the extremists!
It is evident that Najib’s Cabinet is incapable of upholding and defending the Prime Minister’s 1Malaysia slogan and policy.
Would Najib dare to revamp his Cabinet to ensure that only Ministers who dare to publicly declare undivided loyalty to the 1Malaysia concept to build a Malaysian nation where every Malaysian would regard himself or herself as Malaysian first and race second would have a place in government?
Why need the revamp? They are already halfway packing their baggage to move out from Putrajaya, once the 13th GE is over! :)
First there is the “kaum pendatang” although their ancestors came as early as the 5th Century AD.
Now they are being further classified into “Si Mata Sepet” and “Si Kaki Botol”
And someone made a speech in the UN claiming that he is a “moderate”
Yes, just let them be, and we will hear the usual racist noises from Mamakthir, Perkasa, civil servants, etc etc that will ensure that these people hang themselves in the process. No need to do anything, we rakyat are already “conditioned” for what needs to be done.
Najib must lead by example. How can anyone blame the ministers in Najib’s cabinet when Najib himself has yet to declare himself to be Malaysian First Race Second.
YB Nazri is a jewel among the stones. To him I take this opportunity to wish him and his family Selamat Hari Raya.
Ai yo yo. Half the cabinet already filled with people with expired best-by date like soo koon. Why? Because jib cannot find enuf ppl to fill the posts. Now want to revamp some more ah. Waaa. Susah loh. Like dat. Ah may be can ask me to be minister orso. Back door style. I ok one.
Weak-kneed Cabinet…well, the result of a weak-kneed PM.
///why was the announcement of the Cabinet decision to ask the Chief Secretary to investigate the latest racist remarks of a Biro Tata Negara (BTN) official made by the MIC Minister for Human Resources Dr. S. Once racist, always racist. Can a leopard change its spots?
“…Is it because the controversy over BTN’s latest offence against Najib’s 1Malaysia concept is regarded as a trivial matter not serious enough to warrant the personal attention and concern of the Deputy Prime Minister?”
Nah. Isn’t it obvious? Just as he had never uttered a word of condemnation of the two racist principals even though he is Education Minister and DPM, he also is keeping silent on this because he is not supportive of the 1 Malaysia concept, wants to appear to the Malays as a Malay champion and definitely to stay on the side of TDM and Perkasa.
I am sure by now he has seen the report of the two principals and know what the conclusion is. If they were innocent, he would be shouting from the rooftops by now. Instead, he is pushing the dirty work to the PSD as he wants to avoid being seen to punish or condemn Malay racists.
Najib need to care his deputy. If there is a revamp, Moo will the first kena. So, it is 100% impossible for Najib to revamp……
The only way to change the Cabinet is to call an early election. Then the people can change the government too. Now the Cabinet consists of all racist parties. Only PR is non racial. Eg DAP = democratic cause, PKR = equality & PAS = religious party. None of PR is a racial party.
Yeah! kick that Moo out and put Nazri as the DPM.
It could quiten us up for a while, at least!
Ai ya yah, hv pity on NR n don’t dare him 2 revamp his Cabinet lah with Ministers who publicly declare undivided loyalty 2 d 1Malaysia concept
Cannot 1, U know; dis 1M’sia concept just play play only, say can, no do 1
No way can fill Cabinet with Ministers who believe in 1M’sia, NR himself pun no believe
Just like he declared in UN “Global Movement of the Moderates”, ai yah, bluff 1 loh
Malaysians shld know mah, here where got UmnoBputras do what they say 1
NR just follows MMK, cakap no same as bikin 1, OK 1
BTN. What is dat huh? Part of gobermen. Is it? No? Then part of umno ah? Orso no? So wot is BTN? How come dat BTN idiot can talk to puteri umno like dat one?
Ohhh he rambutan grower ah? No wonder. Like dat he cintanegara’s frend loh. Korek or not?
Assalamualaikum and salam sejahtera to abang-abang here (As Im a young man, 24 years old).
Hey DAP, how about you let me be a politician and talk to UMNO in pulic?
In our Holy Quran, Allah said it is always compulsory to have good
relationship with neighbours whether he belongs to our own race,
religion OR NOT. Must, and must be good to the neighbour. In Malaysia
here we got all kind of neighbours – Malay, Chinese, Indian, Sikh,
Kadazan and so on (included the real pendatang – Indonesian, Bangladesh,
Myanmar). Islam means peace in Arabic – refering to “Salam”, its AMAN,
SEJAHTERA in Malays. I dunno what’s the problem with UMNO leaders
saying they are the muslims but behaving contradictly as what Allah
said, “No race is superior than others, no people superior than others”.
In Islam, most of our prophets were Israeli – Ibrahim in Quran (Abraham
in Bible), Isa in Quran (Jesus in Bible), Yusuf in Quran (Joseph in
Bible), Musa (Moses in Bible), Harun (Aaron in Bible). Aaallll are
Israeli by RACE but Tauhid in religion (Tauhid is refering to Allah’s
follower), and asking the the Jewish (Jews by religion, Israeli by race)
to do good and worshipping Allah. But suddenly this religion came here
in Malaysia and preached by mostly Malays. I dunno how come the racist
kind of Malay can believe and accept the Israeli as their prophets
(usually the muslims will pray and mention their prophets name daily,
include Muhammad – Arabian by race, Tauhid by religion) but they are
behaving contradictly to their neighbours – Chinese, Indian, Indonesian.
Hey, dont worry all my brothers. I can guarantee to you most of the
Malays are good except the politicians. Trust me. Seriously trust me.
So now, how come I can be politicians while most of the young graduates
like me are busy engineered the Petronas projects, Shell, Exxon Mobile,
Intel in Penang, Sime Derby and so on? Ugly politicians sucks dude.
Sucks. Sekian daripada saya. Salam (translated from Arabic as
“peace upon you” or Shalom as by the Jews).
Dancing si mata sepet KohTsuKoon said don’t overreact n dance 2 d tune of extremists
He said it’s OK, I’m si mata sepet, no problemo
Slap my left cheek, I’ll give U my right cheek 2 slap some more what
He stressed dat d gomen, under NR, was against any form of extremism
He said wisely: C, I no got elected by voters, still made a minister, no extremism, fair 1
How come LKS in Melbourne, MMK n Arau MP Ismail Kassim also there?
Who else there? Setting up a 1M’sian diaspora or colony there? Salam/Shalom
Dear Mohammad Shahrul,
Credit goes to your parents who have brought you up to become the fine young man you are today. By your courageous, fair and sensible comments, we can tell you are a good muslim. That in itself is good enough to put many UMNOB and Perkasa leaders to shame!
We agree with you 100% that majority of Muslim Malays are God fearing and rational people. Those who are giving Islam a bad image are the Perkasa and BTN brain-washed people who are uncouth, unruly, unreasonable, un-Malay and un-Islamic as evidenced by their behaviours and actions.
The useage of nicknames by those to refer to certain races reflects poorly on the kind of human being that they are. They seem to have forgotten that quite a number of Puteri UMNO ( B ) members are married to Chinese and Indians. Anyway, let us not do what they do by responding to their madness for it would make us no different from them. It is up to them to bertaubat or bertanggung sendiri.
To those who only pay Him lip service and not doing HIS will, The ALMIGHTY says, ” I will close my eyes to all your sufferings, with my palms I will cover my ears to all your prayers. You will call to me in vain, all your prostrating and praying is of no use.
Young man, I salute you. Wishing you and your family Selamat Hari Raya.
Correction: ‘úseage’ should be spelt ‘usage’
Why is everyone in or going to Melbourne?
It looks like all our leaders just love going overseas and spending a lot of time there.
Are all the expenses justified?
Why go to NY, UN and elsewhere just to make some nonsensical and hollow statements when there is no will to walk the talk back home? Why are taxpayers footing all these junkets for that is what all these trips really are.
YB Kit’s raising the issue of “revamp” of cabinet is interesting. However how does Najib revamp, short of calling GE as soon as possible (maybe coincide with Sarawak state elections also expected soon)?
For if he waits longer he might will have to face challenges to his position the UMNO party elections next year – at least according to Economist Intelligence Unit (“EIU”)’s country report that opined “a possible head-to-head fight between Umno president Datuk Seri Najib Razak and his deputy for the top party post at the next Umno presidential election will be a source of political instability”.
Besides identifying political intrigues within Umno the EIU also commented: “Umno tends to turn inward during leadership battles, ignoring the interests of other (BN component) parties, and this is even more likely to happen at a time when its status is threatened”.
[Reference is made to the article “Potential Umno leadership tussle, says report” by Yow Hong Chieh, Sep 30th in theMalaysianInsider.]
I must say not only the interests of BN Component parties sacrificed but also Malaysian’s unity when there’s so much of racial rhetoric of late being spewed, as part of the continuing intra-party political struggle to ratchet up the internal political pressure on Najib and his “1 Malaysia” and “NEM” – which conservative elements within Umno backed by Malay NGOs like Perkasa and its patron oppose.
Najib then is in a dilemma : call an election early and there is no promise of good results for even his BN component parties are not ready to face their respective constituencies after the recent spate of racial rhetoric that makes them appear impotent to stand up against extremism! The other alternative to tarry and delay is also no solution when he can’t implement his 1 Malaysia/NRM platforms whilst prospects of challenges loom in party elections next year that he will not be able to thwart without a convincing victory. EIU predicted that although BN would still win the margin could likely be worse than 308!
This being the case, even if he calls an early GE and wins, does it mean he can revamp Cabinet with ministers loyal to his platforms (1 Malaysia & NEM) ?
Not necessarily if his predecessor’s experience is any inication.
It will be recollected that Pak Lah won an unprecedented landslide victory in the March 2004 GE and yet had to have the most bloated cabinet, adding his own people to those of TDM’s. And as a matter of time they turned against him and ushered him to retirement. Has he the kind of fighting disposition, resources to fight that unseen hand wielding power throughout the realm?
The verdict of most of us is I am sure “No.” So we can forget about prospects of Cabinet being revamped in line with 1 Malaysia or NEM – GE or no GE!
Yes, the politicians are politicking in race and religion. So true Malays want to be champion of the Malay race. But in Bolehland the pseudo-Malay, the Mamakthir type of Malay started racism in a big way even during Tunku’s watch. It was the overambitious Tun Razak who provided Mamakthir the forum to return. Razak died in office 7 years after May 13, or five years after officially known as prime Minister. One wonders when he knew about his terminal illness. Would he have grabbed power had he known his illness before the 1969 election? Was it because he knew that earlier that he decided it was now or never? It was bad that he did not prevent May 13 from happening. Worse was he allowed Mamakthir into his cabinet who later made corruption in government tenders legal. Tunku might not have forgiven Razak for spoiling his effort in keeping Mamakthir out of UMNO.
There would not be racial polarization of there is no institutionalized discrimination. The call by Mamakthir for Malays to unite against non-Malays to prevent losing political power is being answered. The two school principals took the lead, just like in the past the school teachers were the back bone of UMNO. With Mamakthir around, racism will not stop.
Muhyiddin Yassin said Anwar spread lies in Indonesia about Malaysia thereby, committing a great sin ( dosa kering ). But other than telling ”lies” about Malaysia, what choice did Anwar have? He couldn’t tell the TRUTHS about Malaysia, could he? Somebody will accuse him of committing a ‘dosa ( ter ) kering.
Muhyiddin is playing the role of Allah by passing judgement on Anwar. That is the greatest sin. Besides that, he also committed ‘dosa kering’ when he conspired with AAB’s enemy resulting in his fall from grace when it was AAB who trusted him and hand-picked him to a cabinet post in his Administration!. That act of treachery is unforgivable and totally unacceptable to Malay Culture. A modern day Judas fit to be thrown into the abyss with satan.
It is so obvious Muhyiddin is just a shrewd opportunist who will go with anything so long as it enhances his chance of becoming the next PM. He betrayed AAB & God knows if Anwar had approached him about cross over after the 308 election. He is working closely with Mahathir now to rock Najib’s boat. Perhaps Mahathir’s son the next DPM??
Najib must be busy making “deals” himself.
Najib seriously needs to revamp his cabinet to have only 1Malaysia ministers if he wants to win the next general election.
Wa seh! why Najib’s cousin so quiet, sick or what or is it something else? Ah yes, the Oxport guy…. takde suara pun. Da cakap sorry kepada Ibrahim Ali and perkasa?
Bro. Lim, you very good at khai wan siaw. Ask Najib to revamp his cabinet? Why, he cannot even kao tim 1 Ibrahim Ali!
It is a given that no action will be taken. Najib is a very very weak PM because when he was still an insignificant political figure he had carelessly sowed his wild political oats during his younger days. He was not careful and all his deeds had been catalogued and filed away for political blackmail against him when the time comes. He couldn’t do anything when Perkasa with the patronage of Mahathir holds the whole government to ransom. And Najib should know the formidable person who is behind this. Muhyiddin is just a stop-gap measure to take over from Najib until a time comes when he himself will be toppled by the master puppet master who has been planning to instal his son as the PM.
Mahathir possesses the experience and the Machiavellian ruthlessness to carry out this caper to fruition. He was the one who defamed Tunku Abdul Rahman as a stooge; Tun Hussein Onn voiced out his regret that he has chosen Mahathir to succeed him and he was barred from joining UMNO Baru; he defamed Tengku Razali for wearing the Christian headgear to win the UMNO presidency by 10 votes; he couldn’t trust all his deputies and sent them into political oblivion; he totally destroyed Anwar Ibrahim with false corruption and sodomy charges; he stabbed Abdullah Badawi with his deviousness; and now he is coming full circle with another May 13 style grab for power.
Revamp is no can do because of support. The right people who support. The wrong kind of people who support also. He wants to do the right thing but if no support, no go also. So sad. Why people go to Australia ? Because it is the nearest very obviously different country. But since everyone is going there, then what are you all doing there ? The rakyat would like to know why politicians of all parties; both ruling and opposition, are flocking towards another country and as if in the same direction ? May be you will learn from your Australian counterparts; the almost hung parliament how to govern the country with a slim win. Why not go to Taiwan and join Namewee in his political views of his beloved nation ? The political parties are recruiting new members. Namewee should consider going into politics since he is now known more for his political thoughts and expressions rather than just rap, rock, pop music.
Sign of bankruptcy getting apparent
1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB), which raised RM5 billion (S$2.1 billion) fr a bond issue just over a year ago, is proposing 2 tap d Malaysian banking system 4 another RM5 billion in loans.
Bankers familiar with 1MDB’s funding plans said dat d new loans will not be guaranteed by d Malaysian government but will be settled within 3 years through a separate issue of state-backed bonds, a fund-raising exercise in which d wealth fund is hoping 2 raise another RM10 billion.
Dat means dat by d end of 2013, 1MDB will have long-term liabilities of RM15 billion.

“Bankers tracking developments at 1MDB r also puzzled over d fund’s reporting of its financial position.
For example, 1MDB’s unaudited balance sheet at end-March declared dat its liability arising fr its first bond issue amounted 2 RM4.39 billion.

Namewee, the rapper. Stupid for umno and perkasa to engage him. Those idiots certainly do not know what they are in for. Namewee belongs to the entertainment world. Therefore he is creative. In fact very creative. And he has a lot of adrenaline in his body ready for any sort of “X-factor”. Umno may find DAP and PAS familiar opponents. Even labour unions and other unions are familiar to them. Rapper? Hah. They are a different kettle of fish altogether. I expect namewee to come back with something else to surprise the country.
And you know what is worse for umno? Ask any young people today. Ask them who are their heroes and role models? Politicians? Leaders of countries? Scientists? No. These heroes are not being overtaken by actors, artistes, rappers, sportmen and even silly idols like paris hilton. That means young people are less interested in politics. More like there is nothing to connect their interests to politics. But here in malaysia umno has decided to politicise namewee and his rap songs. Good for us. Suddenly young malaysians have a reason to be interested in politics because namewee, their hero, is involved.
So DAP, do take full advantage of this development to tap into the support of young voters. Ready or not, politics a la taiwan and US style will be here soon.
Sorry type.
Second para:
“These heroes are now (instead of not) being overtaken …”
Dis morning news: Moo supports d use of music in d early development of children, saying it encourages critical thinking n improves psycho-motor skills such as voice coordination, dance n visual arts.
Correct, correct, correct – Moo shld consult n engage Namewee, d rapper who has all d skills dat Moo mentioned
Way to up the ante, Sdr. Lim! The stuff you come up with is gold but the stuff that Najib & Co comes up keeping falling flat!!
Its sad and pathetic to see an elder like LKS more hip & cool, and hip & cool like it really matters rather than just looks, than the younger ones..
Our country development, for decades, led by the public sector with bad leadership and gross mismanagement had done enormous damage.
There is no quick fit for our Si Kaki Lepak, Mata Sepet or Kaki Botol.
Most of our politicians had an extremely high level of shamelessness…in particular the guy who lead for more than 2 decades.

OMG.
I think Najib looks like a lame duck. He is not as assertive or as autocratic as his racist predecessor. He is already having a hard time dealing with Katak Ali, let alone rein in his radical cabinet members from UMNO. Believe me, neither the two school principals nor BTN deputy director who allegedly slighted the Chinese and Indians would be punished. The authorities will come out with c&b excuses such as a lack of solid evidence like a tape recording and put an end to the issue.
LKS flew AirAsia 2 Melbourne cos granddaughter Rachel enters Univ of Melbourne, a well ranked world class univ

Talk is cheap indeed. I still remember when our PeeeeM once commented that NATO “no action talk only”. Now it hits back on him directly on his face. It is karma at its best.
Actually he can talk and talk and talk, if he has 1) no courage or will to implement what he promised 2) bunch of racialistic dickheads in NGOs esp Perkasa/BTN etc.. 3) bigots and racialistic headmasters/mistress running national schools. 4) questionable integrity of our current bunch of bums in our judiciary and police to name a few.
At the end of the day it all comes back to square one.
