YAB Prime Minister,
YAB Deputy Prime Minister,
YB-YB Ministers.
Form three Royal Commissions of Inquiry, on Teoh Beng Hock’s death, the RM12.5 billion PKFZ scandal and to propose a blueprint to roll back the crime wave of the past five years to create a safe Malaysia
YABs and YBs,
It is seven hours since the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razak returned from his overseas trip this morning, closeted with top police officers for half an hour immediately on his touchdown at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport at 11.15 am.
However in the past seven hours, there has been no announcement by Najib of a Royal Commission of Inquiry into the mysterious death of Teoh Beng Hock, 30, the political secretary to Selangor DAP State Exco and State Assemblyman for Seri Kembangan, Ean Yong Han Hwa who went to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Shah Alam to co-operate in its investigations but end up as a corpse at the MACC Hqrs last Thursday 16th July 2009.
Malaysians regardless of race or religion are deeply disappointed because the Prime Minister is not prepared to be as decisive as the former Prime Minister, Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi who had announced an independent public inquiry into the police nude ear-squat scandal on his touchdown at the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) base in Subang on Monday, 28th November 2005 on his return from the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in Malta, well ahead of any Cabinet meeting!
Could it be that the Prime Minister, who is using all the latest Internet gadgets to take the pulse of the people on a 24/7 basis, being the first Malaysian Cabinet Minister and Prime Minister to use the twitter, had not been properly informed of the nation-wide shock, grief, anger and outrage at the unnecessary sacrifice of Teoh in MACC?
Hadn’t the Prime Minister been informed by all the MCA, Gerakan, MIC and even UMNO Ministers – as well as his new political secretary Dr. Oh Ei Sun – that it is not only the MACC and the Police which are on public trial, the very credibility, integrity of legitimacy of his premiership is also on trial?
Fearing this might be the case, I am issuing this Open Letter to the Prime Minister and the entire Cabinet on the eve of your weekly meeting to underline the national importance why there can be no procrastination tomorrow in the establishment of a Royal Commission of Inquiry into Teoh Beng Hock’s mysterious death.
In fact, the Cabinet tomorrow should take the unprecedented and historic decision to form three Royal Commissions of Inquiry, on Teoh Beng Hock’s death, the RM12.5 billion PKFZ scandal and to review the Dzaiddin Police Royal Commission Report and to come out with a blueprint to roll back the crime wave in the past five years and create a safe Malaysia.
The announcement of the latest police findings after completing 60% of their investigations into Teoh’s death have raised even more questions and pressing reasons why a Royal Commission of Inquiry is imperative.
As announced by the Selangor police chief Datuk Khalid Abu Bakar yesterday, police probe so far has revealed:
- Teoh’s handphone was not with him when he died;
- He died between 8am and 9am on Thursday;
- He was believed to have fallen from the 14th floor window.
These police findings can only fuel more questions, as for instance, MACC investigations director Datuk Shukri Abdul had been reported in the media as saying that the handphone had been returned to Teoh. Now, Police said that the handphone had been with the investigating officer when MACC was already done with questioning Teoh, allegedly at 3.45 am on Thursday.
These are among a ton of other questions that can only be satisfactorily answered by a Royal Commission of Inquiry, formed in consultation with Pakatan Rakyat leaders with regard to its terms of reference and composition.
The Royal Commission of Inquiry should not be confined to investigate into the death of Teoh but be a wide-ranging remit for a total review of MACC’s investigation procedures and its ability to maintain its independence, professionalism and integrity from political interference.
In a wide-ranging interview with Sin Chew Jit Poh last Thursday and a Sunday speech, MCA President and Transport Minister had made the most serious allegations ever about high-level corruption and abuses of power reaching all the way to the Cabinet, causing him to allege that corruption had emerged from the “darkness” into the open to do their evil work.
Why had both the MACC and Cabinet closed their eyes and ears to pretend Ong had never made such serious allegations of worsening corruption in the country, reaching all the way to the Cabinet?
The time has also come for the Cabinet to form two Royal Commissions of Inquiry, one into the RM12.5 billion Port Klang Free Zone scandal, and the second, to roll back the tide of crime in the past five years by reviewing the 2005 Dzaiddin Police Royal Commission Report and to work out a blueprint to create a Malaysian police force which is efficient, incorruptible, professional and world-class committed to the three core functions to keep crime low, eradicate corruption and protect human rights of Malaysians.
All Malaysians are waiting for the Prime Minister and the Cabinet to do what is right for the country and future generations by giving real meaning to the new administration’s motto of “1Malaysia. People First. Performance Now.”
Don’t disappoint Malaysians.
For “1Malaysia. People First. Performance Now”?
Yours truly,
(Lim Kit Siang)

Will he or will not he consent to the RCI on Teoh’s death?
What are the possibilities?
The role of any commission of inquiry is to make inquiries and find answers. Our so-called Royal Commissions have been used like a detergent to try and clean the dirt the UMNO run government has left. And worse, it has been at taxpayer expense.
If we already know the answer to a problem, why then go on a wild goose chase looking for one. Especially when we know we cannot do anything with the goose.
It is going to be another horse and pony show.
“for instance, MACC investigations director Datuk Shukri Abdul had been reported in the media as saying that the handphone had been returned to Teoh. Now, Police said that the handphone had been with the investigating officer when MACC was already done with questioning Teoh, allegedly at 3.45 am on Thursday.” (Lim Kit Siang)
Who have told a big lie? The MACC or the Police? This is everybody’s wonder. Therefore setting up of the RCI is imperative!
“It is seven hours since the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razak returned from his overseas trip this morning… However in the past seven hours, there has been no announcement by Najib of a Royal Commission of Inquiry into the mysterious death of Teoh Beng Hock, 30…”
Well, Najib is a very thorough man. He need to investigate very thoroughly, in case he says something wrong. As you know, cover-up jobs are never easy. You need 10 lies, maybe even more, just to cover up one lie. As Prime Minister, he must make sure his lies are credible. So just be a bit more patient… you should hear from him either tomorrow or within the next few days.
I doubt if Najis will form the Royal Commissions of Inquiry to shoot himself in the foot.
yhsiew … no RCI may be called as the police will probably end up rounding up those involved. Why call for a RCI when let those who were involved just fry.
PM would be a fool to call for the RCI, just crucify those who were involved. Much cleaner in that manner.
The PM has to listen and consult his “big brother” first b4 making any anouncement. He also just a puppet. They are too many VVIPs involved in today politics and happenings. One wrong move, he will also be gone. I believe he will very so turn bald, with no hair on his head to scratch with so much incident happening in Malaysia. So, don expect much from the PM. He is just buying time and as usual, the long it drag the issue will digest itself and soon Malaysian will forget about it.
It is important that the RCI to be formed must comprise of people of integrity and stature.
Or it will be just a whitewash intended to soot public anger over an injustice done.
I think Najib will form a RCI with their own men in charge to blindfold the public. Beware !
When good men die their goodness does not perish,
But lives though they are gone. As for the bad,
All that was theirs dies and is buried with them.

Beng Hock turned and, with the blood on his finger, wrote a few lines on the white wall, before gradually disappearing,
I raised my glass of blood and asked Him above
If the world has not abandoned justice and love
Let women and men rise where I have fallen
And act to halt the spread of these corrupt pollens
Then my death will not be in vain!

Hishamuddin said police will investigate another 42 person on Teoh’ death including his fiancee and family. Why? They are not witnesses to the crime. It looks like the govt is buying time for public anger to cool before doing a ‘Kugan’ on Teoh,
Frankly, I doubt Umno will allow a RCI to investigate one of their pillars of power. Will there be any justice for Teoh and Kugan?
Keep up the pressure, YB Kit. Organize another rally if necessary. The one in Kelana Jaya stadium was not well publicized. The time between announcing and event was too short.
We must make sure they do not turn this into another ‘Kugan’.
Is this another victim ‘removed” to avoid evidence of PKFZ?

(NST) KUALA LUMPUR: Former Westports general manager and blogger Captain Muhammad Yusof Ahmad died in his sleep yesterday in his home at the Tiara Kelana Condominiums in Kelana Jaya.
Yusof, 62, was found dead in bed by his wife, Maimunah Noordin, 61, about 7.30am.
It is understood that he was not breathing and attempts to resuscitate him failed.
The couple’s eldest son, Imran, 36, said his father had behaved normally on Saturday night as he had his dinner before going online to chat with several friends.
“His passing was quite sudden as he was not suffering from any medical problems.”
Yusof was buried at a Muslim cemetery in his hometown of Linggi, Negri Sembilan, yesterday afternoon.
e is survived by his wife and four children, aged between 32 and 36.
He was a former pilot superintendent with the Klang Port Authority and a pioneer general manager of Westports.
After retiring, he freelanced as a port and marine consultant and maritime arbitrator.
In his blog under the pen name “Ancient Mariner”, Yusof had highlighted the Port Klang Free Zone issue and pushed authorities to launch investigations into its alleged wrongdoings.

Najib is worse than Tun Abdullah in decision-making. I guess he needs to consult his cousin, Kerismuddin.
“Malaysians regardless of race or religion are deeply disappointed because the Prime Minister is not prepared to be as decisive as the former Prime Minister …” LKS
Don’t think he is so stupid as to fall for that!
3 RCI poking all over the place? Najib would be worried about ONE RCI poking in places they don’t want! He is wrecking his brain to have just one to put a lid on the situation and going to the bench to find people he can count on manage what is basically an out of control situation…
Kenny Gan says: “Hishamuddin said police will investigate another 42 person on Teoh’ death including his fiancee and family.”
Hmmm…. one death not enough? Why harass Teoh’s fiancee and family? Do you trust the Malaysian police to investigate anyone? At the end of the day, it’s just that… a lot of smoke but no results.
First and famous we must declared that the dead of Teoh Beng Hock is not a racial issue. We must admit and all must accept the fact that simply MACC are mainly made of officers of one race and happened the deceased was another did not form the basis of of turning this incident into racial. secondly we must all condemn all quarter to turn this into a racial issue.
Only with that kind of mind set we will see justice done and for the benefit ofAll Malaysian and for the benefits of our our future.
With out discarding that mind set we will never have seen justice done regardless how many RCI and how loud the ministers shouting for that investigations and investigations?
The first step forward for all those advisers should heed Dr. Lim Teck Ghee to resigned immediately that all of you are taking responsibilities. You simply can not serve with out taking responsibilities and resigning is the best message to press for full disclosure.
Do the right thing at the right time before it was too late.
///……a Royal Commission of Inquiry, formed in consultation with Pakatan Rakyat leaders with regard to its terms of reference and composition…./// – YB Kit.
That (ie in consultation with Pakatan Rakyat leaders) will be the first! As of now, its hard enough to even get a RCI established.
Why do people still refer to Mr Oh Ei Sun as “Dr”? His Juris Doctor qualification is not equivalent to a PhD. Please do a check on this. There are many fakes running around these days. Of course, NR assistants tend to have a “reputation”, at least one of them who is residing in the UK now.
NR went away for a few days, visited the holy land
RM went away for a few days, enjoyed being treated as the First Lady and took part in a meeting of First Ladies
They expected to return to a new born nation where Selangor is back to BN
God created the world in 7 days
So it is not unexpected that BN and their agencies could engineer the downfall of PR in Selangor during NR’s brief absence
NR is mighty unamused by the cockup
At this sad n dark moment in our nation, one must remain sane n have a sense of humour:

How long does it take to solve a death when the corpse is dumped at the doorstep of the people who last dealt with him? If the police are serious, they can solve it in 1 day. It is now a week with no result and they say they need to interview another 42 persons including those totally unrelated to the circumstances of his death.
YB Kit must give a dateline for the police to present their findings. Is another 3 days good enough? As Kenny said, they are buying time for public anger to cool.
If no results by the dateline, organize a big protest. Keep up the pressure so they know that public anger is not going to cool. The Chinese community should also put relentless pressure on Ong Tee Keat to pull MCA out of BN or resign his position instead of being a useless lapdog.
The big polis chief declared the other day 60% of the investigations completed
It was reported that since investigations began the police have recorded statements from 33 individuals, including 25 MACC officers
(How he computed 60% of an open-ended, ongoing investigation deserves a Nobel Prize)
Now, for the remaining 40% of the investigation, still got at least 42 more people to be questioned by investigators
Mind bogling percentages
No wonder, the teaching of Maths and Science must be reverted to BM once more
//How he computed 60% of an open-ended, ongoing investigation//
Simple lah. He gave out a questionnaire consisting a few questions to the 33 individuals, of which only 20 bothered to return the forms to him. The other 13 threw the forms away. So 20/33 = approx 60%.
It looks like another great drama of Be End or Manek Urai – broken necklace when the people within MA44 can find the scapegoat outside.
That is the impression to call for statements from people outside MA44 possibly to widen the ‘fear factor’ to lead to fall of Selangor PR state government.
Soon it would be a futility like so many serious crimes unending.

do you know DR Oh Ei Sun is 513 in Chinese sound?
Is this a sign of ties when 513 is so active after TBH?

No hope. Nothing solid will come out from the findings. Atantuya, Kugan, TBH, and other victims are our only hope.
