We are negotiating with DSP Wong to see all the 64 arrested. There are 4 MPs (Ampang, Sg Siput, Kubang Keriang and Parit Buntar) and 5 DAP State Assemblymen. We are now waiting for Deputy OCPD to see us. We want to see all detainees, but police want us to wait till they finish recording their statement.

Malaysiakini Update for 12.45pm: Things are turning ugly in the house. Pakatan rep Thomas Su (Pasir Pinji) ridicules Ganesan by offering him RM50 and shouting ‘Go and die’ in Cantonese.

11.30am: “As long as I am here, the other speaker (Ganesan) is haram,” said Sivakumar while attempting to start the assembly sitting. His microphone is still turned off.

11.25am: Pakatan reps walk over to their ousted MB Mohammad Nizar to discuss their next strategy. The verbal salvos continue in the background.

11.23am: Sivakumar once again asks the 10 BN reps to leave the House. Failing which, he warns that he will not reconvene the sitting. But as far as BN reps are concerned, their speaker has adjourned the sitting. A shouting match erupts again.

11.21am: Amidst the pandemonium in the House, BN still manages to pass four motions. These include to remove Sivakumar as the speaker, to appoint Ganesan as the new speaker, to appoint new state committee members and to declare the tree assembly illegal.

11.31am – All seated … Ganesan left hall.
Idham Lim – Sidan Haram umum tangguh sidang namun ADUN BN masih tidak mahu keluar dewan.

Update from Idham Lim’s blog (11.17 am) – corrected

Sidang Haram BN inside the Dewan

Malaysiakini Update :
11.05am: Deputy speaker Hee Yit Foong, who is now a BN-friendly independent, announces that she has taken over from Sivakumar. Standing behind a cordon of BN state reps, she orders the sergeant-at-arms to expel Sivakumar. However, no action is taken by the sergeant-at-arms.

Zambry again reads out the motion to sack Sivakumar. All BN state reps raise their hands in support. Zambry also moves the motion to appoint R Ganesan as the new speaker. This is again backed by BN reps and the three BN-friendly Independents.

Ganesan walks into the assembly hall to accept the speaker’s gown. He is quickly sworn in among the turmoil and signs the appointment document at the BN side of the assembly.

Sivakumar, who is still occupying the speaker’s seat, keeps shouting “Speaker ini haram” (He is an illegal speaker) referring to Ganesan.

Ganesan conducts the assembly meeting from the floor among the BN state reps. Zambry tries to move other motions to change a number of key posts.

11.19 am – All seated down at own place in Dewan. “Guest” or audience in the dewan laughing that all ADUN keeping quiet. V. Sivakumar the legitimate Speaker is waiting for 10 people (Zambry+6 illegal excos+3 frogs) to get out from dewan.

11.16 am – Now BN tabled the motion for the meeting under the tree is invalid and meeting to be “ditangguh” sejam but nobody leaving.

10.55 am

Swearing in of speaker haram

11.09 am – Update from ADUN Idham Lim:

Ganesesan sedang meneruskan Sidang Haram.

Lucu, aneh, tapi benar…

Update from The Nut Graph :

10.56am State assemblyperson from MIC Datuk R Ganesan is taking his oath of office as the Perak Speaker after the motion was proposed by Zambry and seconded by Hee, and supported by all BN elected representatives and the three independents friendly to the BN. Shouts of protests by Pakatan Rakyat side.

10.40am
Speaker V Sivakumar’s microphone has been turned off. Deputy Speaker Hee Yit Foong, the DAP assemblyperson who quit the Pakatan Rakyat to become a BN-friendly elected representative, has declared the majority of the House has voted Sivakumar out and he should leave. Hee now asks the Bentara to remove Sivakumar. Tee BN ADUNs are shouting “Tronoh turun! Tronoh turun!” Sivakumar is the Tronoh assemblyperson.

V. Sivakumar the Speaker!

10.50 am

Hee trying to snatch Speaker’s chair

10.47 am – BN ask Hee Yit Fong to announce sacking of speaker V. Sivakumar.
– From ADUN Idham Lim’s blog :

124 Replies to “Flash updates from Perak”

  1. Inside the Assembly as well as all matters and proceedings concerning the Assembly even the court cannot touch. Now the police has the power to rule that the speaker’s letter inviting LKS to the meeting “tak laku”. Najib must be resign. He is obviously not suitable to pm.

  2. “Police says Speaker’s letter tak laku” – how did the officer concerned arrived at this ruling? is there a specific provision from a properly enacted regulation to guide the officer in making that conclusion?

  3. Police arresting people in black outside DAP HQ.
    – I thought the court order was to disallow public to be within 50M from the state assembly?
    – why arresting people from getting to the place they work?
    – imagine being arrested for attending work…I can’t.

  4. Arresting those wearing black makes us a laughing stock in the eyes of the world. Looks like there is no political dissent in the country and the police seems to be acting tough taking orders from their political masters. Why are those opposition ADUNs arrested?

Good we are kept informed of what’s happening in the Perak Legislative Assembly in Ipoh right now. Thanks, Uncle Kit.

  5. wear black kena tangkap, FIFA is very clever! all referees now wear anything except yellow. the Norweign referee was a disgrace in the semi-final and I am not even a Chelsea fan!

  6. The Sultan of Perak must realized by now that he made a mistake, it may have been within his right, but he made a mistake. The moral imperative then is what can he do to make up for that mistake? The truth is the Sultan should have withheld consent for the state assembly. By not doing so, he compounded his earlier mistake with another.

From the begining, there was no way the Perak Sultan could have avoided being dragged into the political mess. The system was flawed anyway, institutionally destoyed by BN over the years. The only way to restore its credibility and non-political role of the monarchy was not to stand above it when it could not and but minimally do so when there was no other choice and that no other choice was to dissolve the assembly when he was asked by Nizar. He made the wrong call at that moment because he refuse to admit the ENTIRE system including the role of the monarchy is broken.

This thing will not go away and all the Perak Sultan would have done is lost moral imperative of his standing before the eyes of the people. When eventually they come around to fix the system, the royal standing will be very much diminished, their moral imperatives lost and they can’t lament or blame anyone for that.

  7. “Speaker’s letter tak laku,” says the police. Is the police acting beyond their powers? They are now talking like politicians. They should be busy elsewhere doing their jobs of reducing ‘snatch theft resulting in death’ cases which are alarmingly on the increase of late!

  8. This was BN mentality, when people protest with black they abolish black and try to destroy what ever was black. They should stop all black cars too.

The police who was paid by you and me once again take side. Instead of keeping peace they arrested those at their fancy, while two pregnant woman has fall victim to snatch thief that no thing they can do.

The road to change has inch further by day.

  9. Sorry to be off-topic but this seems to be the only way to stop Mat Rompaks and Mat Rempits

A handcuffed robbery suspect was assaulted by a group of men and later died while police were pursuing his accomplice.

The case, which is being investigated as a murder and for police negligence, occurred on May 1 when the man, 36-year-old Mohd Azrul Ishak, was arrested by four policemen who were responding to a case of attempted robbery.

Two men were reported to have attempted to rob a group of motorcyclists at knife-point but ended up fleeing empty handed.

The motorcyclists called police and four policemen responded and nabbed Mohd Azrul at 1am in Tanjung Harapan here.

They left him handcuffed by the side of the road to pursue the other suspect.

When they returned with the second suspect they found that Mohd Azrul had been badly beaten and had to be admitted to the intensive care unit at the Klang Hospital.

His elder brother Mohd Hazar, 39, said his family was informed by a friend at about 2am that Mohd Azrul was injured, and he rushed to the hospital.

However, his younger brother was already unconscious and died the next day.

Doctors have informed the family that Mohd Azrul had severe internal head injuries…

  10. Common sense tells us that forcing an ‘unwelcome state government’ down the throats of Perakians will invite trouble.

There is a high chance that BN will lose Perak to PR for good in the 13th general election and henceforth in other general elections which follow (as what happened to Kelantan).

  11. It is indeed ‘1BLACKMalaysia’ day in Malaysia today, especially in Perak! How many Pakatan supporters and sympathisers will and can the men in blue arrest? All the lockups in Ipoh will be full to the brim then!

  12. their real duties
KPI lah! Arrest robbers, muggers, etc., cannot beat, must go to court, gomen interfere if ambassador to motorcycling – troublesome! See black shirt, arrest, take komputer, detain, release later, no fighting, spitting, scratching, swinging helmets or swearing, esp if lecturer or lawyer, no need even get hands dirty, always got good hygiene – 100% KPI sure got. Hidup Performance Now!

  13. Illegality rules. Illegitimacy reins. Democracy weeps. Perak in shamble. Perakians in anger. Can najib smile? No. Can azlan shah smile? No.

This is not the ideal country I have in my mind. Not the kind which is under umno rule. Not the kind which is under najib pm-ship.

I want law. I want order. I want fairness. I want justice. I want transparency. Not umno. Nor najib.

  14. They will carry Sivakumar out of the Assembly….then they will elect their own Speaker…then they will declare the sitting to be legal and binding. The Regent of Perak will go along with it.

Of course this will be done with the support of the Police and the civil service. Plenty of goodies to be shared amongst those who support the den of thieves.

  15. Who is the police to decide the Speaker’s letter tak laku? Are they not by saying this and not allowing the invited guests into the Dewan acting beyond their powers? IGP/Hishammuddin – what is your response? Hishammuddin – you owe the citizens of Malaysia
an explanation and you better make it real good!
What a farce democracy has been made into by the PM and his followers. When it suits him, PM (at that time, DPM) steps in to interfere. zambry, do you know what is happening? No – let me tell you. You drown your problem. You have to keep you ship afloat. Don’t expect help from your boss.

  16. The consequences of a state-wide election is clear – BN will lose and lose big. Najib can’t afford to take this risk. It is far easier (and cheaper) to put all the PR ADUNs in the lock-up and proceed with the Assembly sitting. Royalty is now in their pocket, the Police are in their pocket, the state civil service is in their pocket, so who is to stop them ?

Just wait for 2013. The videos and pictures of this farce will be of good use then.

  17. The speaker is the highest order in the state assembly sitting.
How on earth could the sergeant-at-arms refused to follow his order. They are supposed to be under the command of the speaker.

Everyone inside the state assembly must respect the speaker…
This country has totally became lawless because of Umno’s greed for power..

  18. The BN’s bouncers definitely having a field day.
For those who are arrested, remember part of the bouncers’ gaji came from the tax you paid. In other words you are paying them to arrest yourselves ! hahaha !

  19. Shameless shameless…what that woman is trying to do…even if she succeedds, there will only be guilt on her. I feel sorry for her family and relatives…
This incident now really does not augur well for BN. They will be knocked out from govt completely come next GE. And whose fault? Let it be remembered they have brought it onto themselves.

  20. What had happened to Malaysia?
The policeman who are with black sun glass are looking more like ganster and pirate than enforcement official…Are we staying at a democracy nation or a bararian state? Habis lah… Bodoh land!

  21. ///Menteri Besar Datuk Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir meanwhile maintained that the speaker has been removed and told the seargeant at arms to remove Sivakumar. ///–Straits times

In the state assembly, the speaker has full authority. The second MB thinks that he was more powerful even in that hall.

But who rules in the hall, it seems the seargeant at arms has the full power. Outside the hall, the police rule supreme. That was why AAB while PM asked peopel to make police report.

There was space-monkey in orbit, and we see hall-monkey in action.

  22. 2 Pregnant women killed by “snatch thieves” in the last 48hours, Innocent children raped & murdered & kidnapped, civilians get beaten to death in lock-ups…what are our Police force doing?
Oh yes, they are busy arresting Opposition MPs & innocent civilians who wear “black”!!!!!
Yes, this is what 1 Malaysia means I guess!!!!!

  23. Besides 2 Speakers, and 2 MBs – and two legislative assemblies, one in State Secretariat Building and the other at the ‘Democracy Tree, there should, in my humble opinion, also be 2 sergeants-in-arm to enforce order or disorder as the case may be in the Perak Legislative Assembly at the State Secretariat Building. PR Speaker Sivakumar should imediately appoint another sergeant-in-arms without further ado. And the functionary who switched off his microphone, he too must be sacked and another appointed in stead to switch on the microphone for the PR Speaker and keep the other one for the other haram speaker off! :)

  24. let the perakians be known to be the uprisers against the illegitimate govt and the propellers of the people leading the nation towards a better tomorrow becasue we dare! And because of that, our children will have a brighter future ahead than we do now.

  25. Godfather Says: Hahaha…now we have 2 Speakers, and 2 MBs.
Better than my PC! Got 42 inches too?

    What’s this?
“Ganesan is taking his oath of office as the Perak Speaker”
“Hee Yit Foong announces that she has taken over from Sivakumar”
    “Ganesan left hall”

Has Ganesan had a sudden attack of honesty?

  26. As long as the speaker does not accept the motion, it cannot be voted on. This how powerful BN made the speaker.
You can dress up a donkey and call him speaker but he still a donkey in the eyes of the law. And all the motion passed under this donkey is illegal. Everybody knows this. BN has made a mess in Perak.

  27. Put it this way, BN is no difference than mafia now, the people need to pay tax / money but cannot decide whom to govern.
Whoever has more power will win, as this is what we can see in Perak now.

  28. Tonberry says: “Just dissolve the DUN! Why are those Umno guys so afraid to face the people?”

Actually, they are not afraid. They already know the answer, LOL. Anyway, why would they want to dissolve the DUN, after having susah, susah “convinced” the 3 ADUN to come over? Obviously, they must have invested a lot of time and effort, but I am sure they did not use money, LOL. UMNO, after all, always try to avoid money politics…. if possible.

  29. We have got 1Malaysia, 2 Menteri Besars, 3 Speakers (including the lame duck), 4 frogs (including the BN one), 5 bye elections gone, 6th one coming, and how many ADUN & MPs arrested? This is really a record!

  30. Its clear for the world to see. Umno and umnoputras are Tuan Rempit McBullys and the rest of us are mere Hamba de Bullys. Umno is basically killing themselves politically. The MV Umno will sink sooner and quicker than we thought it would. Malaysia is surely now in the league of countries where wrongs can be propagated and continued by a political party in open defiance of the people’s wishes and with absolute impunity, with the support of the police and with the backing of the judiciary.

  31. well, we’re groups of Sarawakians here, of coz we realise what’s going on. We’ll be able to cast our votes soon in 6 months time and by then, we’ll show up through our action!

Katak Hee appears again, and now she has more power than just an ordinary MP, even more than the power of Speaker! This little cheap a$$hat obviously has became most unwanted woman not only in Perak, but also in all Malaysia! Shame on you and your husband, your children, and your whole family!

PDRM once again used by Najis government to violate the right of people! Najis should step down right now in responsible to this and return our fragrant Malaysia back to a democratic country!

Ganesan, …now steps his leg into the battle of Blacks and Whites. And he’s now our 2nd Speaker in Perak, trying to learn Mr.Zombie, in his illegal way to take oath as MB.

What we as rakyat can do? the answer is in each and everyone’s heart now!

  32. One point worth noting. If they are indeed legal and proper. If the FC decision is really in their favour. If the QC’s opinion said they are legal and proper. Do you think they would go through the wayang that is being played out now? No. They would use brute force. Because they are not legal and proper and they know that they are not legal and proper, that is why they are trying to dress their illegality with at least some appearance of propriety (not legality because illegality can never be covered-up). Bravo siva. Press on. Dont ‘t give in to the illegals.

  33. THERE ARE NINE VVIP IN THE HOUSE.

ONLY TWO INVOLVED IN THIS MATTERS, MAJORITY DID NOT STOP YOU FIGHT FOR THE RIGHTS OF THE PEOPLE.

SO KEEP YOU SPIRIT HIGH AND FIGHT FOR THE RIGHTS OF THE PEOPLE AND DEMOCRATIC.

  34. ” From Mkinii…”Sivakumar is questioning the legality of the decisions made by the BN side, including the decision to appoint a new speaker. He said the assembly has not officially begun as the Perak regent has yet to declare the sitting open.

He said Raja Nazrin should deliver his royal speech first before the sitting officially starts”

So every decision is null and void!!!!

  35. “Update for 12.45pm: Things are turning ugly in the house. Pakatan rep Thomas Su (Pasir Pinji) ridicules Ganesan by offering him RM50 and shouting ‘Go and die’ in Cantonese.”

What the hell was that? Can people from both side have some decency and some manners please?

  36. 12.45pm: The situation turns ugly in the House. Pakatan rep Thomas Su (Pasir Pinji) ridicules Hee by offering her RM50 and shouting ‘Go and die’ in Cantonese.

Following this, another Pakatan rep Yew Tian Hoe (Aulong) throws two RM1 notes at the deputy speaker, prompting a vexed Hee to pick up the notes and tear them to pieces.

Is the tearing of the Malaysian currency note a capital offence?

  37. Yeap yeap yeap guys, what a mess. Like I said before,NR would use whatever mean it takes to be in control. It’s right here now happening in Perak.Bad moon is rising, the wolves are attacking the lambs to grasp the lambs’ rightful place using whatever illegal mean it takes. This episode is similar to “HALO WAR ACTION GAME ” strategtically plan to attack with precision timing when and where to go for the killing.HALO WAR GAME is just a video war game created for fun only. Can’t imagine NR using it in Perak and turns it into real present day action in his favour. Hence PR watch out what’s next target for another “NR WAR COMBAT GAME “

  38. That’s how BN the end rules with fist, power grabbing under broad day light equivalent to daylight robbery.

Tunku Abdul Rahman photo on the $50 note was tore into pieces by the shameless Hee.

End of Merdeka after 51 yrs … ruled with autocracy by the corrupt .

Thank you Najib, scandalous PM of Malaysia!

  39. ///10.35am: The Perak assembly is still at a stand-off. Sivakumar keeps repeating that BN MB Zambry’s motion to sack him as speaker is “null and void” and orders the sergeant-at-arms to expel the 10 state assemblypersons. However, the sergeant-at-arms refuses to abide by the speaker’s instruction. ///–Malaysiakini

So, the coup d’etat now with the sergeant-at-arms turned against the speaker, is complete. BN used muscle power to declare that it is in control by installing a BN speaker.

  40. “Following this, another Pakatan rep Yew Tian Hoe (Aulong) throws two RM1 notes at the deputy speaker, prompting a vexed Hee to pick up the notes and tear them to pieces.”

Despising the Legal Tender of Malaysia is definitely a criminal offence. However, since Hee had done the tear-off of RM1 paper notes in the Legislature House, she enjoys the legal immunity as the crime was committed during the assembly proceedings.

By the way, I am really convinced that Hee has gotten a sharp eyes focusing upon money because she could easily notice two pieces of RM1 notes on the floor and did not mind the trouble to pick them up and then torn them apart. If Hee has gotten the habit of fonding to tear off monetary paper notes, surely her income from serving as the State Assemblyperson cum Deputy Assembly Speaker would not be sufficient for her to spend in her course of living and would never be able to assure her a sustainable life style!

  41. Well, the hero of the day is definitely YB Sivakumar. The losers – need we say more?
PR – all the more now we have to work together at it – Hidup Bangsa Malaysia. We have gone this far. And we can’t turn back now.

  42. Uncle Lim, Why nobody arrest those people wearing black dragging speaker Sivakumar out? They are wearing black too. Berat sebelah!!!! Speaker Siva my respect to you, you put a got fight, putting a side your diginity and shame. You stand for rakyat… Bravo.

  43. mother always tell me that ugly and fat woman normally has a kinder heart.

wat bout the ugly, fat and cacat katak, she doesnt hv any..

how could someone on earth give birth to an alien!

shame on u, katak’s parents and ancestors.

  44. EVEN THE IMPOSSIBLE DREAM OF GERMANY – TO HAVE EAST BERLIN WALL TORN DOWN BY THE WILLS OF THE PEOPLE.

SO IF THERE IS A WILLS OF MALAYSIAN TO BE MORE DEMOCRATIC.

NO ONE CAN STOP YOU TO UPHOLD DEMOCRATIC, AND YOUR RIGHTS.

  45. Shame goes to Katak Hee. She’s the dumb woman of whom DAP has brought in out of compassion and turned out to be the greatest traitor of all time.

However, her parents have suffered enough so i urge those who hold grudges against her parents to leave them alone. They have suffered much misery having to face the fact that their own child has brought great shame to the family and the state.

They are old folks hoping for a once peaceful life. Please respect old folks. Thank you.

  46. The final part of the power grab episode was ended with the speech of the Regent, Raja Nazrin. The story started with the Sultan’s sacking Nizar and ended with the lacklustre speech of the Regent, only showing that the Royalty has already taken up a position to stand by the side of Umno.

Everything seems not to work well for Pakatan Rakyat in Perak. Perhaps PR leaders have to reevaluate their political situation and try to find a solution for their long-term problem of being not able to control the Police Force of Malaysia.

If it is a rule rather than an exception that whoever is able to control the Police Force will be able to control the ruling power, then there is no point for us to continue showing faith to the system of Parliamentary Democracy. By self, the Police Force can help to change our political system into a system of autocracy or despotism. There is no point holding the general election again if the legislators elected by election can be forced out of the State Assembly session by the Police Officers like what had happened to Perak Speaker V Sivakumar!

  47. dear Common Citizen,

please shut your mouth up, u r nobody here trying to utter stupid comments.

if not katak’s stupid parents, how the hell this katak was brought to earth. her ancestors and parents should also be blamed for this.

if not her stupid parents nurture her up to become a ungrateful and ugle cacat katak, who else?

Did u ever blame mat rempits’ parent when u encounter them? Did u ever ask someone else when thier children are KURANG AJAR?

So her parents and ancestor also should be blamed, ah, also because she carried the lousy DNA from her stupid parent/ancestors.

i will curse her and her parents everyday… dun worry.

  48. All Malaysians and ex-Malaysians in Australia totally and unequivocally contempt this despicable act of the UMNO goons and their running dogs…the so-called “Royal Malaysian Police Force”! You are one big laughing stock to the whole wide world. Shame on you!!!

  49. I condemn umno.
    I condemn najib.
    I condemn zambry.
    Respect democracy.
    Return democracy to perak.
    Return democracy to malaysia.
    Return democracy to malaysians.
The force and wishes of the people must be respected.

  50. Hope to get good news from Sultan of Perak soon.. Rightly or wrongly, the way BN conduct today assembly is totally unacceptable.. and the police behaving today is more like street gangster than angel protecting us.. Hope sultan will read this and grants us fair state-wide – election..

  51. PR you got a lesson. this lesson is paid heavy price but doesnt mean you wont get a good return.
PR should pave way to BN although they immoral to get back perak but in assembly house they gain more seat than PR now.
MAKE SURE in this 3 years do more for perakian to ensure next general election perakian is still with PR.
if PR still govern perak, and if PR done nothing, next general election still kick by voter too

  52. BN are simply hooligan. The police has once again abuse their power by taking side. Worst they have intruded in the state assembly. If they can do it who suppose to be enforcer of the law who else can’t do it.

saying black day for democracy in Malaysia is understatement it simply shoot dead democracy.

Let PR also learn a lesson that when you PR come to power in very near future please never abuse your power as what BN do.

PR will be there and we have to be just a bit patient. we have been rapped by BN for such a long time. It is time to change and it is coming.

  53. “If it is a rule rather than an exception that whoever is able to control the Police force will be able to control the ruling power, then there is no point for us to continue showing faith to the system of Parlimentary Democracy.”.Onlooker Politics.

Isn’t it clear by now that Parlimentary democracy not only isn’t working but also hasn’t been working. We have shown faith on a foreign import for the last 52 years blindly. In reality might has always been right here and not right is right.Under Najis with his cousin heading the Home Ministry he will be using the available dragonian laws to shore up his administration. It would not be too far-fetched to suspect that even if PR were to get the majority MP seats in Parlimentary at the next GE,they might not be able to take over the federal government since the police’s allegiance is to UMNO and so are rest of the branches of civil service.Malaysians are just waiting for the system to spiral down to dictatorship! The prospect of a change of government isn’t that promising.

  54. Wannabes, if you fellows have any respect for me, didn’t this was what I said days before this even took place.

BN, you just watch, this day will forever go into infamy for you. I think the hearts of Malaysians have changed forever. NO amount of prompting and probing will bring us back again. So take as much as you can, but we will get it back even if you have migrated to Zimbabwe. When PR come into power, they shall pass law to recoup from the descendents of those who took public money. You just watch.

  55. A black day for democracy happened in Perak today. Unbridled ambition for power coupled with irrational actions resulted in utter chaos while Malaysians could only watch in despair. Should we wait for the 13th GE to teach BN a lesson? I suggest we start from now. I implore PR ADUNS & MPs get together & plan for the next 4 years on how to take over the Federal Government legitimately before BN turn this country into a fascist state similar to Italy in the 1930s. Blatant misuse of power by the police & civil servants who are clearly biased cannot be tolerated & must be condemned by Malaysians.

We tend to ignore history but history may teach us so much if we are willing to learn from it. What’s done is done. Now we know how desperate BN can be to hold onto power they illegitimately begotten. Never once do they think of going back to the rakyat to seek a fresh mandate. Why? The answer is obvious that they are scared that the rakyat will completely throw them out! They are indeed a bunch of cowards & wimps!

A sad day for Perakians & Malaysians.

  56. In Malaysia, whoever able to control the police will be able to control the ruling power. In the next GE, Pakatan might not be able to take over the federal government even they have majority rakyat’s mandate because they don’t control the police. Police can simply stop PR MP or ADUN from entering or throws them out of the House. DSAI whats your next move? Please plan your strategies carefully. Kalao depan-depan tak boleh, cuba try belakang marilah!

  57. cry! perak cry!
the goons and the thugs rule in Perak.
What did the Sultan do? Let it be as long as he can still be the Sultan.
I think Raja Nazrin was right to ask Perakian to think hard if we still want to have a Consitutional Monarch when it couldn’t even serve the rakyat.

  58. Katak Hee is an ambitious politician…..most probably holding a powerful and influential position one day.

No one dare to tear a note in the Assembly….it’s like burning our flag.

  59. Why is it that we malaysians keep on returning to the courts for all sorts of reliefs even when it is known to all that the judiciary is an extension of umno? What is more. Since the damage done to it by the son of kutty some twenty years ago, the judiciary has suffered tremendously and irreparably. Why do we all still rely on it for justice? This is evidence that malaysians by and large still entertain a hope that that the judiciary will one day wake up and start doing justice again. This hope no doubt is kept alive by a minority of uprighteous judges who show up from time to time over the last 2 decades.

Judges should be judges and not politicians. Judges should be judges of laws, equity and facts and nothing else. To all judges presently serving on the bench – pls do not dissapoint us. Do not snuff out our hope. For without this hope the country could descend into chaos like those we see in thailand recently. Help us to save our beloved country and return her to glory. Umno must be told the “no” word and can be told the “no” word. Umno must be told “enough is enough”. And above all umno must be told “the law is the law”.

  60. Local grad,

If you have brain, talk like one who do. Your parents never choose your character, behaviour. They may teach you how to conduct yourself well but it’s all about you. They thought you to respect the elderly but there you go, what bad manners!

Someday, you may have your own children and when they conduct badly, you will be cursed by others i bet…vicious cycle eh :O

So, SHUT UP YOUR FOUL MOUTH!!!

  61. Its all about the malays umno is looking for.what happened in perak clearly shows that they are fighting for the survival of malays political power and the arrest of chin huat obviously a sign of oppressing people especially the minorities speaking up against the government.eventough how much the political landscape have change, race and religion is still the main core in malaysia’s politics.wrong or right does not play much role in determine the government actions but instead the needs of the majority as they claimed.in the end of the day,the majorities is still the only one who could decides the government’s action.and the question is do majority of malays is ready split against umno?will see in the next GE

  62. It is known to all that the police and judiciary is an extension of umno. Why do we all still rely on it for justice? there is no justice in malaysia. Umno cannot be told the “no” word. umno > law. umno is above law. we must hormat umno just like how we hormat law. they set the law and u all just follow k. they dont like u as speaker, then they change the speaker. u protest then kena lock up. what else can u do? shut up and join umno. once u are their member, then for sure u are above the law just like them. come, and lets join um no.

No respect for self-declared smart ass. To be a smart ass you must first be an ass which clearly you are.
