  1. I wonder…what Mamak and son will be saying.
I guess…part of the the blame will go to Mhyhuddin….part to Khairy….never Mamak himself.
Yes..two third Malaysians have spoken….in favour for change.
    In a lager picture….it is 4-1 against UMNO…in 5 by-elections.
    Tak malu ke…cintanegara.

  2. What is Najis going to say ? We accept the poll results ? We will do better next time ? Nothing to be said about the demands of the voters for transparency and accountability ? More business as usual ?

  3. If Najib still doesn’t understand the rakyat’s repudiation of Mahathirism, then I say “Carry On” and make our day in the years to come. I’d also like to hear what the mainstream press will say tomorrow.

  4. I’m very sad we lost Batang Ai but I expected it when SPR over there insist on transporting 14 ballot boxes to the Sports Centre in Lubok Antu for counting and not counting at the original station.
Also not allowing Mafrel or the agents of both BN and PKR to accompany the boxes during the transporting process is very suspicious. We should not allow this to happen or their counterpart over here might think of the same idea.

  5. Now that BOTH the BUKITs are conquered by Pakatan, it’s time to start kicking BN’s ass by working hard and keeping promises. That’s what the people voted you for – and that’s what BN had failed to do. They promise, they pretend but later they forget.

    CONGRATS to both!!
    Nizar, be the MB again

  6. Najib should not have allow Mahathir to campaign for him. Everything he does he destroys, whether for a friend or against an enemy. For the past 22 years he destroyed everything in Malaysia. Even his own party, he destroys. He is the destroyer par excellence. Nothing can be done right by him, Why? because he’s a fake, claiming to be a great leader but see how he behaves. He raves, throws tantrums and bullies everybody. He can never get along with anybody.

So Najib, get away from this cancerous spectre or you will regret until your head turns bald. If you need to touch him, use a 40-foot pole.

  7. Hey…it’s 9:52PM and they’re still counting votes in Bkt Selambau right now, and the host said some boxes have just arrived, many more not arrived yet. So, i’m confused now, how could you DECLARE that PKR wins with higher majority of 2,396? The majority I saw at 9:52PM was 1,200+ only.

Better keep our fingers crossed… or did i see something wrong?

  8. Accepted: PKR, PAS, DAP, PRS
Rejected: UMNO, MCA, MIC etc, Tun M, New PM etc
This is better than March 8th. So so sweet…
Same story. Bye Bye Be End……
Now PR really need to strategize Sarawak and Sabah. Then the prophecy would be completed.

  9. Congratulations to the people of the two Bukits and to PR! Money politics, corruption, electioneering by UMNO will never work. PR should have won with much larger majority if not for the phantom voters, rampant money politics, and other political trickery. In the case of Batang Ai, it’s unfortunate that the rural folks are easily swayed by a packet of noodles. It is hoped that their political awareness level will improve in the next few years.

  10. Congratulations to YAB Dato Nizar, Menteri Besar Perak. Congratulations also to YB Manikumar on their hard-fought victories. Despite facing the onslaught of UMNO/BN’s fire-power, media-power, economic-power and under-hand tactics, both of you emerged victorious with increased majorities!!!

Well done, PKR, DAP and PAS leaders and all their election workers. These victories are the results of your excellent strategies and great fighting spirit.

A GREAT VICTORY for all progressive-minded Malaysians!

  11. “In winning Batang Ai by more than last year’s margin, it shows that BN still has the confidence of Sarawak’s rural people,” Gerakan president Dr. Koh Tsu Koon said.

Pakatan Rakyat leaders please do take Dr. Koh’s comment seriously and do always remember this as a reminder for Pakatan Rakyat folks to work hard in order to ensure a landslide victory in Sarawak’s state election which is soon coming. Pakatan Rakyat is still not doing enough in Sarawak and there are plenty of rooms for improvement to be expected in this state which is bestowed with abundant natural resources and great political autonomous power in the hands of the state government.

Sarawak is a new frontier to be conquered by the steadily advancing united forces of Pakatan Rakyat. The leaders of DAP Sarawak please keep up your good work there. We are keen to see a Chief Minister of Sarawak coming from the camp of Pakatan Rakyat by the next Sarawak State Election!

Congratulations Pakatan Rakyat for the beautiful victories in two bukits!

  12. Muhkriz called on the residents of the 2 Bukits to “come and listen to my father”. Sure, the father attracted a lot of people. Some turned up out of respect for the old man without the intention to vote for the candidates he campaigned for; while others went out of curiousity to know what nonsense the old man was going to say this time.

If he had retired gracefully, he would have saved himself of the embbarrasment of being rejected by the people. Obviously, the black magic he used to confuse and divide Malaysians is not working anymore. POOH! POOH! retire le.

  13. Congrats to PR!!! for the great victory in the 2 Bukits. The fall of the Umnooo empire is imminent.OOps, not forgeting the lackeys also e.g. MCA,MIC and GErakan.
We shall overcome the corruptors and the bigots.Let us send them a one way ticket to you-know-where??
As for Sarawak, the corrupted pek moh must be dethroned! PR focus your ambition across the sea.

  14. Altogether now please say:

:P WOOHHOO! to the PR streetwise rookie Manikumar! x3

:P HIP HIP HOORAH! to all the nice PR People! x3

:P YEEHAR! to the BS rakyat! Yukky UMNO/BN is a :D LOSER in BS, Kedah! x3

WE SAY YEAH! & NO TO ISA! :P AND HARIS FOR AG & RPK FOR IGP! GO FOR DSAI FOR PM & LKS FOR DPM & KIND WAN AZIZAH FOR HOME MINISTER.

2009 Resolution: Seek out all garbage and recycle or dispose post haste for a healthier life and planet!

  15. To first-timer S. Manikumar of PKR, congratulations and well done for a fine victory in Bukit Selambau despite the odds and difficulties you face tremendously.

The triumph in Bukit Selambau shows that Pakatan Rakyat under Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is a force to be reckoned with. Good luck to Pakatan Rakyat!

  16. This is a big slap in the face for the bn and mahathir. The people does not want any corrupt politician and a pm who does not come clean on the Altantuya murder and the submarine corruption case.

The people has spoken. Dissolve the Perak Assembly and let the people decide who should be the government.

  17. Well, PM if you continue to ride the old boat, you are finished even before the next GE! You better realize by now, the under 40s have rejected the stale concept of power sharing i.e. we get the leftover only at election time. These under 40s have long memory. Your old goat might have short memory. To show these Malaysians beside cleaning up the Cabinet you must also finish all HIS cronies; take back from them what the Old Goat had stolen from the RAAYAT for a start. Otherwise you can start counting your days! Bye!

  18. Najib can start packing his bags and get ready to leave the PM’s office.

BTW, the 2 by-elections results simply shows Tun M has got nah-appeal. Malaysians ‘ta’ mudah lupa’ his reign of terror, repression, cronyism, corruption, excesses and abuses.

  19. PR will never have any change in Batang Ai, so PR win 2 Bukits and lost 1 Batang. Sound like a good deal to me, right?

    http://shiokguy.blogspot.com/2009/04/lost-1-batang-and-win-2-bukits.html

In order for PR to make an inroad into Sarawak and Sabah, the Indelible Ink has to be implemented and others form of rigging has to be stopped. I am not a sour grape or bad loser in Sarawak, I am a Sarawakian and work as boatman to ferry voters around. So I have seen it happens before.

    Yahoo to the Rakyat!

    Shiok Guy

  20. YB Lim…..i guess the results of the by elections tells us something….i hope we are not caught up in this temporal victory and miss this crucial message….

In order to take over the federal government in GE13, we shall need our Sabah/Sarawak brothers to be with us. I really do hope the PR is working closely and maybe plan on inviting some credible political parties from sabah/sarawak to join PR. Time is of the essence, we have to start NOW NOW NOW!!!!

Congrats on the win in Perak….People Power…..PR PR PR!!!

  21. The 2 Bukits victory with a bigger majorities reinforced and proved that:

    1) March 8, 2008 General Election is no fluke. People still want real change and not superficial “window-dressing” change.

    2) The perception of Abdullah’s leadership is weak is just merely and remain a perception. Meaning, the March 8, 2008 General Election has nothing to do with Abdullah’s so-called “weak leadership”.

    3) Najib accession to the Premiership and his subsequent slogan of “One Malaysia, People First, Performance Now” is a slap in his face by the people, who disapproved of his tainted past and are skeptical of his ability to reform Malaysia and its democracy.

    4) Mahathir return to UMNO and his campaign trails at the 2 Bukits has no bearing on the grassroot Malay people. Meaning, it is as good as saying Mahathir should retire for good.

    5) The rakyat is not stupid in judging who is the “pretender” and who is “honest and sincere” in serving the rakyat and the nation as the whole. Dirty political tricks never works.

    6) Malay supports for PAS & Anwar is still strong and relevant. Najib past moral issue is a stumbling-block to gather the Malay support.

    6) Non-Malay supports towards MCA, MIC & GERAKAN is as good as saying “rest in peace”.

    7) The people in the states controlled by Pakatan Rakyat are happy with the current administration of Pakatan.

    8) The people in Perak disapproved the unconstitutional grab of power by BN.

    9) Khairy Jamaluddin is a liability to UMNO.

    10) East Malaysia is still the stronghold of BN.

  22. mamakthir is a liability n sooner najib n whoever wants to use him as ammo should think otherwise.
najib’s first week seems to pan out ok for the guy. we’ll see if the “reconcialiatory moves” are one-off niceties, but if nothing else, it goes to show what he knows the public wants, n thus beg the question why didn’t they do it sooner? aab, if u’r reading this, not only were u sleepy, u were also being taken as a goat by ur own merrymen whilst u think u’r king of the country. najib is much more cunning n does hv some brains i must say. n baggage too.

  23. I wanted to read how those UMNO munafiks react.
Myhudin….try to be too smart….saying the feeling good of Najib’s as PM have not sink in yet.
There is no doubt…that Min.Of Education is not only a disgrace to his illustrious family…but a real thick skin balless hypocrite with no brain.
He said…..UMNO accepts the verdict and needs to think what to change. How long does UMNO needs to think and change anymore?
Who cars they change or not…which all Malaysians know …that is totally impossible for corrupted …racialist UMNO.
Where is film star No1 and his son?
I salute the voters in West Malaysia!!!
It looks like Ibans….Dayats needs to be educated and wake them up in the East.
East or West…Malaysian Malaysia is the best.

  24. With the whole umno election machinery put into action and with all of umno’s money politics experience in full gear and with all the oil and grease they can find to lubricate the process and with the entire msm in frenzy over umno and even with the misuse of government agencies and facilities and with the support of the EC and the police – all in full throttle – they still failed to win the two bys in peninsular malaysia.

Not forgetting that najib no doubt would want to use the by-elections in peninsular as a barometer of his popularity and hence he would be extremely keen to secure a win in both places. This would serve as additional impetus to umno members and suppporters. Despite this umno lost.

    In other words najib lost.

The margin of defeat does not indicate the real extent of their failure. If the ground is level they could well have lost everything including their deposit, underwear and dignity.

All the rhetorics, all the trickery, all the carrots and sweets, all the promised change, all the negative reports in the news about cracks in pakatan – yes none of them made a difference to voters in peninsular or cause a change of their minds and hearts. I see this as a positive and encouraging position. It means pakatan’s hold is peninsular is very firmly rooted. With this fact established (together with the two other bys in the recent past) the time is right for pakatan to cover new grounds – sabah and sarawak.

  25. Wah….very funny…..
I was watching RTM 1 yesterday for the by election results….

On the victory in Batang Ai :-
“Taib: Victory an endorsement of Najib ” – NST

But for Bkt Selambau and Bkt Gantang :-
“No, no, this is not a referendum,” said Dr Zambry – TheStar

The RTM jokers even got the nerve to say that the votes in the 2 Bukits does not actually reflect the “will” of the people. I was thinking….then what does the polls reflect? Impossible that the “will” of the ppl is for BN to win…but they vote PR? These jokers think that we the rakyat are all stupid ar?

Anyway…it was fun watching the commentators praising/consoling BN althought they lost (it takes real skill to be such a shoe polisher) and also to critisize PR on exposing rhetoric and personal issues (that was how they put it….to prevent them from mentioning the forbidden name of a certain lady – you know who ;) ).

  26. If all elections are conducted fairly and gentlemently, based on current economic situations, the opposition will definately win by a bigger margin. Btw, I don’t understand why KTK is still leading Gerakan in BN !! He already “kena” left, right and centre from AMNO. Thick Skinned.

  27. Hmm, big head ong, semi value and koh no balls are being whipped by umno’s whip… cant secure meat for their MASTER.

so pity u guys, i think u guys are the pittiest politician on earth… hey man get lost la, really thick face la

  28. Jamesy made a good point. Those jokers thought 308 was the direct consequence of badawi’s softness. Those jokers thought 308 could and would be averted if mahathir’s tough-guy-bully-ways were adopted. Those jokers thought najib could turn things around for umno with his tough and rough methods and his sure fire decision to have mahathir several days before re-joining umno.

No. No. No. Wrong again. A sinking vessel will sink no matter what. Of course with the wrong people at the helm it would sink faster. Its a simple logic. That’s reality. Lets face it umno!

  29. Actually, the new PM and BN gave chance lah to PR.
Did not want to be too arrogant and sapu semua.
    Gave PR sikit false hope.
Later, no problem for Gentleman NR to easily engineer more buy elections.

  30. Up to now, there has been a total of 5 by-elections since GE12 last year, and UMNO’s BN has lost 4 of them.

Yes, 8th March 2008 was the day we Malaysians had ‘woken up’, and we are now still awake…
