The Democracy Tree plaque in Ipoh can be vandalized and desecrated but the spirit for democracy will grow stronger and more determined.
This was what happened when the Democracy Tree plaque was vandalized in the small hours of yesterday morning, with the vandals smashing into smithereens the top portion of the democracy plaque, turning it into a Democracy Relic.
But the Democracy Relic also inspires fear among the enemies of democracy and freedom in Perak and Malaysia.
In the small hours of this morning, like thieves in the night, the vandals went to work again, pouring black paint to erase the wordings of the Democracy Relic immortalizing the historic “Tree Perak State Assembly” on March 3, 2009, which has entered the folklore of the human struggle for democracy, attracting national and international interest and attention.
The enemies of democracy are in mortal fear of the Democracy Tree, Democracy Plaque and the Democratic Relic.
They should be more afraid of the Democratic Spirit and learn the lessons of history that no force on earth can suppress the quest for freedom and justice when the time has come for human beings to stand up for their fundamental birthrights to freedom and dignity.
Shame to the masterminds who sent out the vandals to desecrate the Democracy Plaque and Democracy Relic. Freedom and truth will prevail in the end.
The Enemies Of Democracy are fearful of the Tree and what it stands for. This is best exemplified by this quote from de Balzac:-
Power is not revealed by striking hard or by striking often but by striking true.
Install CCTV to catch the culprit
Pick up the pieces and put them together again as far as it may be possible. Frame them up and the plaque will immediately gain a totally different significance. A plaque that has undergone the baptism of umno’s oppression and bastardy is no ordinary plaque. It will be a good symbolic item for the pakatan people. Holding up the keris will attract a great deal of criticism. but holding up the broken plaque will not and will immediately whip up anti-oppression sentiments.
unmo may soon turn to the North Korean style of “democrazy”
North Korea conducts general elections to elect members of its parliament, but the election is merely a formality to give the outside world the impression that the country maintains a democratic system. In fact, the election is designed to perpetuate the one-Party system because only one candidate is nominated by the Party for each electoral district, and voters are asked to cast only “yes” or “no” votes. As a result, elections always have 100% voter turn-out with 100% “yes” votes. Voters have no choice but to cast an “yes” vote because Party officials are watching. If anyone abstains from voting, or votes “no”, then he or she will be branded a counter-revolutionary and sent to one of the political prisoners camps.
Let’s make a movie , the story line very much like kalkootawood
anybody for the hero role?
Let’s not accuse the BN for this as we don’t have evidence. But what we could clearly see is that there are lots of people who believe in the Dark Side – those who show utter disrespect, those who do not wish to be tolerant, those who show arrogance. It definitely took more than one person to break the plaque, and I’m sure there are eyewitnesses who dare not make a report, or know that making a report is useless.
Never mind. They break it, we BUILT ANOTHER ONE… we shall keep on doing so to show that DEMOCRACY will not be beaten. If they break the second plaque, we built a third one… and the public who support democracy could contribute to a special DEMOCRACY FUND. And if anyone catches the culprit, we shall make him/them built one for us.
One good thing ..Came out of it.. At least those scum bags respected Mother Nature by not chopping down the tree.whaaa kakaka.
The more they vandalized and desecrate the Democracy Tree plaque in Ipoh the high its value will go.
Celaka samsengs are from the low beings, they have not the capacity to appreciate cultural and civility values.
To gain true democracy, it has to be tested, travel the long and winding road…with lawless mongrels putting barriers in its way. Justice will triumph! Democracy will triumph!
Celaka Permuda UMNO, eat your hearts out!
Watch it guys. Their next move: Chop off the tree or poison its roots. Those goons will not stop until everyone and everything succumb to them and their demands.
These people who are against whatever they are against have this one thing to say. When they broke the democracy plague, they are only telling Malaysians and the whole wide world that democracy is dead in Malaysia. We should thank them for telling the truth. They are better than politicians who talk about democracy but they do not practice democracy. Or for this matter, any public property that is destroyed is also another way of telling whoever who built those public properties that these properties are not needed. Malaysians can go back to the stone age when there is no public phone booth and no public facilities. Then we will be practising real green movement when everything is genuinely naturally green.
You know they’re going to do that! Maybe you should just carve the words “I love democracy” on the trunk of the tree. But then expect not to see the tree the next morning.
Some imaginative businessman may come, cut it down and put it on e-bay and sell what’s left of the tree.
Dear wanderer.
As goes the saying “mannerism maketh a man”. No need to swear at Pemuda UMNO.
