Najib apology on demolition of Hindu temple on Deepavali eve – six more apologies by Umno/MIC leaders awaited

The front-page headline of the night edition of China Press is “Najib apology – demolition of Hindu temple on Deepavali eve”.

This is a manifestation of Makkal Sakti (People’s Power) but it is a grave error for the Barisan Nasional and MIC leadership to think that such an apology is acceptable or satisfactory answer to the Malaysian Indian political awakening and uprising following the seminal 30,000-people Hindraf protest in Kuala Lumpur on Nov. 25 last year.

If Najib and the top Umno leadership are serious in wanting to making amends for the long-standing political, economic, educational, social, cultural religious polarization of the Malaysian Indians resulting in their becoming the new underclass in the country, Najib’s apology must be followed by at least six other apologies and ensuing actions, such as:

• Apology by Selangor Mentri Besar, Datuk Seri Khir Toyo as the No. 1 man in the Selangor state government who must bear full responsibility for the demolition of the Hindu temple in Shah Alam on Deepavali eve;

• Apology by the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi for Umno insensitivity in holding the Umno General Assembly last year on the day of Deepavali – when it would be regarded as highly insensitive and offensive if MIC, MCA or Gerakan had held their national delegates meeting on Hari Raya Aidilfitri for instance.

• Apology by the Umno Youth deputy chief, Khairy Jamaluddin, the Prime Minister’s son-in-law in publicly castigating the Indian news vendors for “anti-national” actions in having a press holiday when the Umno general assembly was being held resulting in the policy speech of the Prime Minister and Umno President at the Umno general assembly not given coverage the next day – when it was the fault of Umno in fixing its general assembly on Deepevali, long a press holiday.

• Apology by MIC President and sole Indian Cabinet Minister for over 28 years in refusing to admit the fact of the marginalization of the Malaysian Indians – a stand which he reiterated during his recent visit to India;

• Apology by Abdullah for the detention of the five Hindraf leaders under the Internal Security Act for fighting the cause to end the marginalization of the Malaysian Indians – and the five should be released immediately and unconditionally.

• Apology by Samy Vellu for the 20-year-long Maika Telekom Shares hijacking scandal in betraying the rights and interests of Malaysian Indians who had put their trust in him by placing their life-savings in Maika shares.

Are these six apologies from the UMNO and MIC leaders forthcoming to demonstrate that there is now a genuine change of heart in the top Umno leadership to meaningfully end the marginalization of the Malaysian Indians in the country?

  1. So Najib knew it was mistake…and never came out with this apology earlier but now at the brink of the elections…..I think Indians will cast their votes wisely this time ……otherwise they will be replaced by the Filipinos, Nepalese, Bangladeshis etc….The Indonesians have already replaced them as the third largest majority…..yep….their grandfathers and fathers sweated it out at the plantations, roads and railways for nothing…..

  2. hmmm….too late…

As the saying goes by…Sorry is no cure…

We indians are mature enough to see the political agenda behind this unsincere apology….SV & Co….times’s up. As Donald Trump golden word…….Your fired.

  3. Samy is definitely in deep shit……..all BN leaders are coming to his support for failing his people.

After independent, we should not marginalise any races to create anger and frustration through unfair policies and implementation.

How do you fix and heal decades of gross injustice affecting innocent generations that are the future of our country?

  4. An apology is not an apology unless it comes from the heart of the top man, Pak Lah.

Others are not fully qualified to make the apology for him or for the government. I for one do not see Najib’s apology as adequate.

Since it is the government who wants to make the apology, then let it be made at the proper place as well, in Parliament, just like what the Australian government is proposing to do to apologise to the Aborigines for their “lost generation”.

    In Parliament, no less.

The gomen wants to remake and rebrand MIC. This is a clear sign that MIC is outdated and being led by incompetents. It is an outright chastisement of the MIC leadership led by one Samy Vellu, the “wira” of the Indians. Well he doesn’t appear to be a wira anymore. For someone OUTSIDE MIC to tell you off is so shameful and telling.

Samy, can you not read in between the lines?

    R-E-T-I-R-E-M-E-N-T.

The whole MIC top leadership should go. They are a liability. That’s about what Najib was strongly hinting when he spoke to the branch chairmen yesterday. I am sure they can all take the hint.

And yes, the others so named by Kit, should also tender their PERSONAL apologies or the apologies of the institutions they represent. Otherwise, not counted.

And MIC will be rebranded M-I-C-K-E-Y M-I-C-E in the Year of the Rat.

  5. Bigjoe, would YB Lim post this list that I have?

    • Apology on giving the impression that Chong KK was well treated when he saw him on the 14th Nov, only to have the Ma Zhu ban order issued the following day, on the 15th.
    • Apology on issuing the printing permit for Herald, unconditionally, only to insert that banned clause a week later.
    • Apology for the Keris wielding approval.
    • Apology for confiscating Pastor Jerry’s books and demolition of Orang Asli Chruch in Gua Musang.
    • Apology for snatching Gan’s dead body when there were questions unanswered regarding his (Gan) conversion.
    • Apology for allowing all the little napoleons making schools and departments as their domains.
    • Apology for not taking action against obvious corruptions in PKFTZ, Belum and other issues.
    • Apology for allowing the rate of crime escalate but refused to look into the RCI’s recommendations.
    • Apology for not sacking all the government officers involved in 665 pages Auditor General’s report last year.
    • Apology for all the Mega projects and corridors when 4 years ago, his promise was to stop all the mega projects.
    • He must apology for this “unconfirmed” report that he always sleeps during meetings and functions. He must apology for all the pictures in the internet showing him sleeping. But this is an unconfirmed report, so it’s my turn to apology first if it’s not true.

  6. Yes yes, 20-year-long Maika Telekom Shares hijacking scandal. But please don’t forget MCA also. What happened to the Chang Meng Tian’s (former boss of Merlin Hotel) RM10 million donation to MCA?

  7. If no apology for those you listed, just put back MERITOCRACY into our system. Then we Malaysians, especially the Indians in this case, will be much, much happier than apology, as apology may not be sincere, lets do it by actions.

With meritocracy in place, Indians will have no reason to blame, but themselves.

Let us vote wisely this time around to see the new government can put meritocracy in place.

  8. Are BN ministers and leaders putting up thick-skinned insincere acts – making empty promises and hollow apologies – to seduce, entrap, buy, and con voters to vote for BN in the imminent GE 2008?

Later, as we approach GE 2008, BN ministers will use the most reliable threat – May 13 or Malays run amok – to scare voters to vote for BN.

  9. Later, as we approach GE 2008, BN ministers will use the most reliable threat – May 13 or Malays run amok – to scare voters to vote for BN. – boh-liao

    MCA has already started:

  10. This guy is Joker …..he thinks the ppl will forget what they did for last 50 Years. Just wait for the GE….we show you that we mean business and send You & Your “RACIST” BN Leader into retirement. This guys is not worth to be called a leader to start with….

  11. Why choose such a time to apologise, if it is at all sincere? Or is it another election gimmick by BN? Will Najib’s apology bring back the already wrecked temple? [deleted] Apologies serve no purpose in fiscal destruction and so I see no meaning in this so-called apology.

  12. Yes, he apologized. On the temples’ issue, Najib said the government would ensure relocation of temples was done orderly. He said the demolition of the Padang Jawa Temple in Klang in November last year, just a few days before Deepavali, should not be repeated.
“That was wrong on their part. We are sorry for that,” he added. There are about 24,000 temples in the country.

And even the release of the Hindraf 5 now would be of no use as the Indian Community is determined to use this GE 2008 to put Samy Vellu in political oblivion.

  13. It is another election ploy.
    Dear Indians,
Please do not be taken in. It is false apology.

HIDERAF had paid a very heavy price just to get this sim0ple apology? Do not fail those in detention.
The only way to show your gratitude to HIDERAF under detention is to vote against BN!
Remember those in detention are fighting for your rights. They could easily toe Samy Vellu line and lived like Lords. Instead they truly feel the sad plights of the down throdden Indians and are now languishing in Kamuntin.

  14. YB, if there was any sincerity in the apology- the apology should have been tendered immediately after the event. The belatedness in apologising and just before the election will only expose your secret agenda

  15. What apology?
He said it must not have been broken on Deepavali; another day was still ok with him.

Breaking itself without consultation was wrong.
He still does not understand this.

    Nothing but sweet talk for the elections, after that;
dark skin will become dirty skin to him.

  16. As election is just around the corner , BN members would say anything at all just to win the votes of the people. Do not fall for this again and again.
Any unhappy complaints from the people will be promised to be settled now but once they have won the elections , who knows what happen to these promises.

I can see on the TV everyday now pictures showing what BN has done for the people, why are these pictures not shown during the whole of last year.

Having the media in 100% control and showing photos of what the opposition did wrong with testimonies is really the lowest dirty tricks they are using to trick the people.

We have nothing to lose since special rights are only given to just Malays since 1970.

Special rights for all born in Malaysia residents whether Chinese , Indians and etc where taken away just as BN says so for the past 37 years.

What has MCA or MIC did for all the past elections to get these rights for us. The answer is , the rights are still for just one race whether you are born in Malaysia or not. MCA and MIC could not fight for our rights as they are in the same boat with Umno.

Please vote for a party who dares to say what we are not happy with.

  17. Dear Oknyua,

    Well said. Good Job.
    I agree with you :)

    May 13????????
Come on lah. You think we are kids from the stone age?

    Apology nearing the GE???????????
Dont bullsh_t us again and again and again. We know your tricks already. My 3 year old child also know this trick. You know its wrong to demolished our temple. Why go and do it? We know what game you are playing. Why dont you apologise after the GE? Desperate to fish a few more votes??????????????? Looking for some weak hearts?????????????

    SORRY APOLOGY CANNOT BE ACCEPTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Enough is enough. GO GO AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Time for you BN to pack up and go. GO GO AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!

PLEASE DONT TRY THIS TRICK ON US AGAIN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    GOD BLESS DAP.

  18. I don’t see anything wrong with the following declarations, do you??

Among the measures, Najib said, were:

    > INCREASING the intake of Indians in the civil service;

    > PROVIDING more scholarships to Indians entering public universities;

    > SENDING qualified Indians to foreign universities for tertiary education;

    > INCREASING the microcredit loans for Indian businessmen;

    > IMPROVING the quality of education at Tamil schools; and

    > ORDERLY relocation of temples

  19. Any apologies at this juncture would be clearly seen as election goodies . Can someone come up with statistics on number of Chinese and Indian schools build since Independence vis a vis against the number of national school. Also the number of ‘ schools’ promised to be built for the past 11 GE. Only with a statistical review can we audit those ‘ empty promises ‘

  20. Everyone must unite and reject those UMNO shit politicians they try to gain vote from all of you by trying to bring up the may 13th issue. The only way to beat them is to vote opposition.

  21. what sorry, can i chop off your and say sorry? We INDIANS are no fools anymore.umnopultras cannot drag us like cows with string attached to the nose. Now you are dealing with a educated lot of INDIANS not like colonial days where we kowtow to the masters.Tamilan Valga and opposition Valga!!!!!!!!!

  22. malays get the sweets all year round, only the indians and chinese get some ‘sweets’ prior to GE,and furthermore,it might be also empty promises,50 years alredy, you ppl still enjoy the show?come-on,throw them out this time!

  23. You know what? I saw the video clip at youtube again……seeing those government ganster destroying our temple……i was so angry.
And now “i apologise”? WTF…you BN go to hell! You BN and your BN gansters should be put into jail for destroying our temple.

You think you can kick us around with your tricks. We have change our thinking over the 50 years but you BN still asleep. Yeah, we are no fools anymore. We have been very patience.
The day will come you BN have fallen into your own trap.

DO IT TO OTHERS IF YOU WANT OTHERS TO DO ONTO YOU.
WE KNOW WHO TO VOTE NOW.
    GOD BLESS DAP.

  24. Najib’s apology is fox in disguise at the pretext of
    gaining more Indians’ votes!!

Malaysian Indians, do remember your 5 beloved
HINDRAF brothers are now in detention camp and
please do not be swayed away by Najib’s words so
easily…!! Remember this – Politicians are Great Liars!!

Do not trust Sami Veloo will fulfill all your 7 demands
and issues raised by Hindraf members.

If you vote for BN, then you are just digging for your
    own graves!!

    Vote only All Opposition Parties!!

  25. There are still four more actions the BN government need to do :

    – release the 5 Hindraf leaders unconditionally
    – apologise for the excessive use of force to disperse the HIndraf protests.
    – apologise to the Hindraf leaders for wrongfully associating them with Tamil Tigers and violence
    – thank them for highlighting the suffering of the Indian community so that they now get the attention of the BN government on the plight of the Malaysian Indians and exposing the weakness of MIC and the ineffective leadership of Samy. Without them, the MIC will sail as usual, oblivious on the marginalisation on the Indian community whom they represent.

  26. hey why not we make all of ’em stand in front of “Tei Chi Kong”

Hold up two josssticks, and do the three bows….that’ll teach em…

    Sorry konon………..

dun come sorry sorry now…must have realised that their political ratings have dipped tremendously the past few months prior to the elections…now apologising for something they did last year, if they regretted it in the very first INSTANCE, they would have apologise or make amends waaaay back then, or maybe even offer a rebuilding or land for relocation of the temples….

Idiots….they think we dunno our mothers are women ka?

  27. Ha ha ha….another joke……i guess Dato Lat will be out of a job soon if PM does not call fro elections soon. I am am getting disgusted with “jokes” form these people day by day. They should all be actors…….MalaysiaWood showing now…..at Jalan Duta Court Complex…..starring lead actor…..VK and fully supported by VT, Teng…., TDM….etc…..sure Golden Globe material, even Tan Sri P Ram….will be overturning in his grave!

  28. another great sandiwara to fool the rakyat. I bet ya many Indians and Chinese will be cheated. Many will think, ok ok this is the final chance for them but they wont realise once BN wins again they wont be a chance for the rakyat to kick them out in the next GE for they wud hv change more policies by then to favor them. It will be too late. Even now many wud hv considered it to be too late but we dont hv a choice now. Do or die! In another 5 years, it will be just Die!

  29. Remember what TDM promised to the Siqiu group just before the 1999 General Election. Remember that NEP was for 20 years, and when ASLI stated in its report in 2006 that Malays had surpassed the target 30% corporate ownership, and hence attained NEP objective, the government refuted ASLI’s finding and said that EPU would reveal its methodology and data to prove ASLI wrong. It is now more that a Year but the EPU has not shown that ASLI’s finding was incorrect, yet AAB declared that NEP would continue until 2020. Others in UMNO were urging to get NEP till and beyond 2057.

An apology is a recognition of something has gone wrong, and that a promise to correct it is implied. When UMNO does not honour its promise written in black and white, it will not honour an implied change. Najib has just carried out the tradition of giving promise like his late father who promised that NEP was for 20 years, knowing perhaps that he would not live to honour it. Najib now follows TDM’s example of making promise to Siqiu, and later when the time was right TDM accused that Siqiu was extremist. TDM not only broke his promise he was also ungrateful. Indians should learn from the experience Siqiu had with TDM, and not be fooled by UMNO foxes.

The problems Indians face are no different from that experienced by Chinese. Both communities are hoping that the leaders in MCA and MIC could take part in race politics and guard against the excess of race politics played by UMNO. The past 50 years have proven beyond any doubt that in the zero sum game, the strongest win all. MCA and MIC should die before Chinese and Indians can hope to lead a dignified life in Malaysia as true Malaysians.

Hindraf was accused of not telling the truth about the situation of Indians in the country. Insincere though the apology tendered by Najib was, useless as the apology may be, the apology serves to prove that the government cannot make use of the cover provided by MIC to say that all policies in discriminating non-Malays might have been requested by MIC and MCA. When MIC and MCA are not part of the government, the government will have to prove to the curious eyes around the world how it deals with other races in the country.

To organise political party based on race might help to provide dialogue between communities when the population lack the skill of communication in a common language, within a generation of 20 years. Political parties divided by race beyond the initial period of nation building would bring about in-fighting around zero sum game, and ends up with the stronger community fighting for dominating position like Ketuanan Melayu. After 50 years MCA and MIC still have not realised that as weak communities, they should not play the game of race politics. Politicians in MCA and MIC might have realised that they could not do anything for their communities, and have not even intended to do so in joining politics. They are there for power-sharing at the individual level to get rich. It is the Chinese and Indians voters who made mistakes in voting for MCA and MIC candidates. It is unfortunate to make mistake and it is stupid if not madness to make the same mistake over and over and over again.

We cannot ask opportunists in MIC and MCA to leave the party just like we cannot ask UMNO to be fair to non-Malays when they can discriminate against non-Malays and yet to be returned to power in every election. The voters, we have to learn not to make the same mistakes in supportng he game of race politics in voting MCA and MIC candidates in the coming GE.

  30. – Furthermore, if it is an apology that the Indians seek, it is long overdue!

    – What happened to the promise by the PM for a RESPONSIVE and EFFICIENT government?

    – The purported legal channels for the rakyat to voice their grouses are clearly NOT EFFECTIVE AT ALL.

    – Can the government not see that, or are they merely turning a deaf ear.. AGAIN as usual?

  31. Mr.Najib,
your apology is nothing going to change our mind. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH, we are going for a change now. we don’t want your apology , RELEASE OUR 5 REAL HEROES NOW!!!!!! AND TELL MR SAMY TO PACK UP. IT’S ALREADY TOO LATE FOR HIM

  32. BN has robbed rakyat the last 30+ years, the damaged they have done to this country will take another 50 years to repair provided the rakyat change them. Things will never improve and probably get worst if rakyat continue to support BN. You future in this country and the future for your children will depend on who you will vote in the coming GE. Vote wisely my friend.

  33. As a Chinese saying goes:”Just look at the mouth and the face of that nasty fellow, your hatred has already become so uncontrollable.”Thinking back, not so long ago, peaceful demonstrators were ill treated with water cannons and tear gas.Irreparable damage has been severely done.Isn’t it too late to undo it?Use your votes to teach the hypocrites a lesson now.

  34. Know of some muslim converts who were Hindus before marriage to Muslim women. In name Muslim. Still practise Hinduism. Despite having “bin Abdullah”to replace their biological father’s name these converts or Indian Muslims as we call them, are outraged looking at the destruction of Hindu temples. These new Indian Muslims still feel for their Hindu temples!
UMNO going to apologise for destruction of temples? Forced conversion or dubious conversions to Islam?
HINDRAF stood for Hindu rights. Indians could be Hindus, Muslims, Christians, atheists, Buddhists, Jains Bahais.
Is UMNO going to apologise for arresting the 5 Hindraf leaders? UMNO going to apologise that Ghani Patail their Attorney general will not take the Atlantuya prosecution nor assist the Royal Commission in the VK Lingam episode but takes straight forward cases involving so called unlawful assembly. Is UMNO going to apologise that Tun Haniff the ex IGP said 40% of senior cops corrupt? Is UMNO going to apologise that the ACA like Admiral Cheng Ho is/are eunuch(s) UMNO should apologise that they still prefer to use English and local councils whack traders for not using Malay. UMNO should apologise to all Malayans and now all Malaysians for their (UMNO’s) existence. After creation of Malaysia UMNO is redundant, no more can they say they fought for independence of Malaysia.

  35. “Najib apology on demolition of Hindu temple on Deepavali eve – six more apologies by Umno/MIC leaders awaited”

Why apologies? do you only learned that this is a gross improper act after 50years of nation building or you’re a dying tyrant trying to make atonement for your sins???

    tak malu ke?

easier to jump off the KL tower.

  36. Colonel Says: It is harder to apologize and easier to step down.

See, again you can not get the right sentiment. To BN and you, it is easier to apologise and much harder to step down, get it?

  37. Why did Najib apologize, did Abdullah ask him to? If BN really wants to win back Indian votes, isn’t it suppose to be Abdullah who apologize first and then follow by the rest? If the apology by Najib was his own initiative isn’t that telling something is amiss in the BN camp? Will there be a change of leadership in UMNO and BN before the general election?

  38. Whatever it is, Malaysians irregardless of race, language and religion should not have a Prime Minister who once declared that he will soaks the Keris with Chinese Blood. Well, you can change your mind if he apologize for that too.

  39. “Najib apology on demolition of Hindu temple on Deepavali eve”

Was he sorry for the Demolition of Hindu temple or was he sorry they did it on Deepavali eve !!

Najib…You can fool all of them.

Oh Najib, Najib… prove that you are truly sorry by rebuilding a BIGGER Temple on the same spot.

  40. ” THE APOLOGY SHOULD FOLLOW THE REBUILDING THE TEMPLE BUT IT DID NOT! “.

HOWEVER, THE MIC DELEGATES CLAPPED FOR THE APOLOGY BUT NO ONE ASKED WHETHER THE TEMPLE WILL BE REBUILD.

BN HAS MORE TO LEARN AND MIC HAS MORE TO LOOSE.

  41. Why suddenly from ‘saya pantang dicabar’;’certain community will run amok’ is changed to ‘say sorry’ and ‘all communities will be taken care of’? Isn’t it shedding air mata buaya ke?

  42. Thank you for all the list of apologies that BN owes. The list is long and I started with May 13, 1969 because this was Badawi’s greatest mistake when he took over the leadership when he said there was no need for a new vision. This coutry did and does need a new vision.

This country has been on the same vision since 1969, Vision 2020 and Dr. M’s ideas did not begin with him, it just cluminated with him. It all begin when they lied in 1969 – that of ends-justify-the means and the hijacking of the national agenda by ultra-right in UMNO. It includes the likes of Harun Idris, Syed Jafar. Step-by-step they destroyed institutions, wasted resources, commit illegality and injustices and set this country in path unknown in the name of their self-righteousness.

The Lingam-video affair gives a good insight of what the vision that started in 1969 looks like. You have the highest powers committing acts that breaches the very basic rules of good governance. Its not likely that there is only one V.K. Lingam. In every neigbourhood you can identify someone who does what V.K. Lingam does to one degree or other and in some neigbourhoods like Damansara, Taman Tun Ismail, Titiwangsa, Ampang etc. you see many more. The problems are systematic.

This is why the RCI on Lingam-video had to be tempered and the Bar Council call for judicial RCI denied. It rocks the very foundation of UMNO if it was unfettered. Already it may be unavoidable. It all depends on the Bar Council and the public will react to the eventual coverup that will take place to some degree at least.

We have a peek of the destruction of institutional governance for the last nearly 38 years and the result is evident to us all that Hindraf has just dramatised . This country can never come together to repair the damages until the day we are willing to admit the source of it all May 13, 1969.

  43. Will Najib wait for Abdullah to hand over the Prime Minister position? With all the mega corridors Abdullah plans, it looks like it is going to be forever before Malaysia sees a new Prime Minister, is Najib willing to wait or it is worth the wait, don’t you think Najib at least deserves an extra position as the Finance Minister? Come to think of it, if Mahathir when he was the Prime Minister can appoint Anwar as Finance Minister, why can Abdullah do the same thing? Yep, things are about to get very nasty within UMNO.

  44. YB,

Is those Indian buy your comment?

    Sometime result is more convincing.

There are possible views from the people of the corruption during GE campaign.

…more chinese school will be built…. BN is good for the people
…apology to Indian….. BN has realise the mistake
…visit to chinese community…. BN is fair to all
…more police station…… BN is concern on crime

My guess is 5 detained under ISA will be reliease one week before election.

It is to good to believe this good deed will continue….

But the fact is we can only hear about it during GE campaign.

The opposition party need better strategy to enlighten the people.

Where is the money came from for all BN campaign? BN has use the advantage of the position to ‘cheat ‘ the people.

The development has to be paid by taxpayer whether it is from public servant or private individual. It is from all company pay the taxes and Petronas. Increase high way toll rate to cover the corruption.

  45. “The opposition party need better strategy to enlighten the people.”

    Damn Wrong..helpless
You don’t need enlightenment when someone demolish your temple !

You and I and everybody else know damn well, the Malay Population hold the “key”

The Opposition party has done one hell of a good job… not forgetting the people themselves …..the Hindraf and the bersih.

    What better strategy ?
Better economical plan ? Better NEP for the Malays ? Convert every non Malay to Muslim ?

I can’t figure any … maybe you could .. so let’s hear it

  46. The question, was Najib’s apology represents Abdullah, and can be taken as apology from the BN government as whole, if not Najib has taken things into his own hand. He is painting Abdullah in the bad light.

  47. Heard from my indian friends in Sarawak…..they were laughing at the apology. Everybody knows this nuts will do something like that coz its election time. Maybe our 5 heros will be release soon coz its election time. Sweet talk here and there or rather bulls__t here and bulls__t there.

    Demolished our temple!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This time BN you are going down one by one.
Your time is up to pay the price.
Dont be over confident that you will win this time.
Pack up, go home and think of what you have done to us for 50 years. Maybe you BN are too lazy to think. Better go to sleep.

    ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.
    VOTE FOR OPPOSITION.
    GOD BLESS DAP.

    THANK GOD FOR THE INTERNET.

  48. Apology is just a word to be uttered! Wats so difficult for SV&Co..SV kan top actor once upon a time..!He full of drama..one of these days he might even weep like a baby while campaigning..don’t be surprise.. I’m sure old habits die hard!
They can do wonder as well but…all b4 election maaaa….after that u see la..they might bomb all worship places of NON-MULSLIMS..then show you the “Keris,Samurai,Parang,M16,AK47,C4 and wat not!

  50. In my opinion Khir Toyo is extreme in his thoughts – imagine :

During his reign – what has Selangor achieved, which is by his effort??? None. All development is due to the KL/Putrajaya effect.

But what extreme laws & things he has done???
    – Limiting beer ads in Selangor to 1/3 of signboard area.
    – Supporting Selayang Municipal Council on cruel dog-catching method
    – No live performances by international artists (All went to KL)
    – Make dog licencing almost impossible in Shah Alam & MPSJ.
    – No new year celebrations in Shah Alam (Shah Alam city only reflects & portray Malay-Muslim architecture, all these built by taxpayers money).
    – Loudest voice in banning pig rearing in Semenyih
    – Many pro-Islamic extreme policies.

Ever see him visiting a Chinese/Indian cultural event? or visiting a Chinese/Tamil school?

He will never apologise. Let us all bring his BN reign to an end – support PKR & DAP in Selangor. This time I believe the Selangor Chinese & Indians will be wise & much wiser to bring down BN rule.

    Don’t give BN a 2/3 majority in Selangor! Vote DAP/PKR !

  51. If u study Najip’s facial expression & body language, who can tell me if he’s truly sincere & remorseful over the temple-demolition issue? His face says it all & speaks a thousand words. That is the most insincere apology I have ever seen, he even look disgusted to even have to attend that ‘gathering’, must be forced to do so by Pak-helah, and can u see that slight grin he displayed, priceless, it must be ‘etched’ permanently on his face for trying so hard. So what mis-guided MIC crowd should have waited for the follow-up declaration by PM’s Thaipusam holiday for KL/FT, should be this time, ” Saya umumkan secara rasmi, Malaysia mulai hari ini mempunyai 5 ugama rasmi- Islam, Buddha, Hindu, Kristian, Sikhism”
& written into the Rukun-Negara. That would be meaningful & genuine ‘gesture’ to show, Mr. Najip, that u’re truly remorseful & want to repent, & to make-up for all the discriminatory policies that your party UMNO have brought upon us. What harm can it do? No, he or anyone from Umno will do no such thing, you want to know why? Because the discriminatory policies to sideline all other race & religion will continue, u better believe it, if not prove me wrong, make this simple declaration, ‘BN sangat adil’ right?
one of DAP slogans should be “5 official religion to chose from” if there is no freedom of choice then don’t call this country a Democracy.

  52. Democracy might as well be pronounced “dead and buried” in Malaysia. If you remember what happen to Namewee’s case, you will know what I mean. He just sang a song using the national anthem as “background” music and there he was penalized. They even brought in the National Anthem Act! So what democracy are they talking about when the people cannot even have the freedom of expression and speech? And with ISA still active, how can one enjoy democracy in this purportedly “democratic” country? The slightest political “breeze” would bring about an “Operasi Lalang”!

And don’t ever talk about the Rukunegara. It is a national disgrace for the contents of this “holy document” were never realized from the day of its inception. What “masyarakat yang adil” are they talking about if they want to maintain the NEP, Ketuanan Melayu and Malay special rights? Can that be made adil? It is like slapping their own face with this “holy document” and they had the guts to send our “space tourist” to outer space to read it. To me, the Rukunegara is nothing but a tattered piece of paper fit for wiping asses!

  53. “Najib apology – demolition of Hindu temple on Deepavali eve”.
Done with a pinch of salt! Well Malaysian Indians, are you that palcable with just an apology? Not that simple matter, Najib.
Election is around the corner, that’s why he shamefully APOLOGISE!
Why not go to the Indian temples and apologise. That can make alot of difference! And in future, do it every time an Indian temple is demolish. More are needed to prove BN sincererity, Najib, PM, Khairy, Toyol, Samy?

  54. Well, this just proved that BN will do or say anything to get the public to vote for them..perhaps, they have taken the public to be either too stupid or gullible to fall for an apology..It’ just like repairing roads full of potholes or sanctioning projects that have been delayed for years to get the public’s approval especially near election…why don’t he just build a new temple or allocate a new plot for it to show how sincere he is with that apology..that is not going to happen in another 1000 years if BN is still up there as the government…..so, people, as the election song goes, berfikirlah sebelum mengundi, jangan dengar cakap orang, terutamanya yang baru meminta maaf…
