Another brutal crime in Ipoh

Another brutal crime in Ipoh — 22-year-old hairstylist whose semi-naked body was found sprawled at her salon in Taman Perpaduan, Tambun, Ipoh on Friday.

Sunday Star yesterday reported:

The body of Ooi Choo Lee was discovered by her father Ooi Ah Hee, 57, when he went to check on her after she repeatedly failed to answer his phone calls.

Choo Lee was found sprawled in the toilet of the shop at about 4am yesterday.

She had apparently been strangled and was believed to have been raped.

Ah Hee said he had rushed from Sungkai, about 120km away, where he worked, to check on Choo Lee.

“I thought she was at the supermarket when she didn’t answer the first time at 8pm (Thursday).

“But when there was still no answer much later, I decided to go to Ipoh.

“She had always been told to keep her phone turned on,” he told reporters at the Ipoh Hospital mortuary here.

Choo Lee was from Sungai Petani who moved to Ipoh two years ago.

Only last week, a teenager was kidnapped, robbed and raped in Ipoh by two parang-wielding men when she went to a 24-hour clinic at 2 am for treatment.

The crime wave and the spiraling fear of crime in Ipoh, as elsewhere in the country, must be checked and eradicated to make the streets, public places and homes safe again. This must be the No. 1 national agenda — a safe Ipoh and a safe Malaysia for the people, tourists and investors!

The Parliamentary Caucus on Human Rights and Good Governance should hold its fourth public hearing on “Fight Rising Crime” in Ipoh to raise greater parliamentary, police and public consciousness on the grave problem of crime and public safety in Ipoh. I will discuss with the Parliamentary Caucus Chairman and other Committee members to schedule such a public hearing.

  1. This is most tragic. It seems that the authorities are more interested in policing blogggers and harassing tourists like Mr Wayne, the African-American. They should put up a notice at all airports: Tourists especially Blacks, Indians, Pakistanis, Bangladeshis, Chinese, and Indonesians must carry their passports with them at all times or risk being detained.

  2. This is evil for me to say but I hope that BN [deleted] will get a taste of what it is like to be raped or sodomized. Else they wont know the pain the victims, families and friends go through.
The crime is so near to where I stay, I am worried for my parents. Better try to get them out of Ipoh as soon as possible.

  3. Another tragedy while the retards in UMNO debate on what the next steps should be in the war against the alternative media. Sad, isn’t it ? An ordinary citizen’s life isn’t as important as the steps that the thieves must take to protect their loot.

  4. “This is evil for me to say but I hope that BN [deleted] will get a taste of what it is like to be raped or sodomized.” – ahkok1982

Great contribution. I rest my case now.

  5. Godfather,

What has UMNO got to do with this murder??? You may as well blame UMNO for the rest of the things that Msians do like polluting the environment, have poor civic mindedness, etc etc etc.

  6. RealWorld…. I hope you are not one of those Cybertroopers of UMNO. The buck stops with the ruling party as they hold the power to ascertain the security of all citizens. They have the power to direct the police forces where it is most needed or recruit more if necessary. However, they seemed to be more caught up with harmless bloggers who are doing what they can to be noticed. Also UMNO, well BN govn to be exact, is also to be blamed for Msians polluting the environment as they have the power to clamp down polluters but instead happy to sip kopi if you get my drift. so what say you… are you still on the UMNO side…if so, I am sure you will be flushed out very soon. God is omnipresent my friend.

  7. UMNO was given the task to lead, to govern. Instead it gets itself embroiled in a war against bloggers for which UMNO is clearly out of its depth. Instead of focusing on basic issues like security of its citizens, the well-being of its citizens, UMNO rolls out its big guns to aim at the bloggers. A certain UMNO Youth leader even termed bloggers as “monkeys”.

Monkeys or not, we are entitled to some basic protection, which is a priority compared to the “insults against Islam and Agong” that UMNO is parrotting around the country. Are you not ashamed of this ?

  8. RealWorld: It is all about accountability. When you call on bloggers to be accountable, you yourself must live in accordance with the standards that you set for others. You must lead when given the mandate to lead. You can’t bask in the glory of good news and not take any responsibility for bad news.

In my company, I lead by example. The buck stops with me. If my boys don’t perform, and the company suffers, I can be removed by my board of directors. They don’t want excuses, they don’t want me to apportion blame to my staff. They want results and I am the one they hold accountable since I have promised them “I can lead”. All I see with UMNO is they can lead by example – which is stealing from the country.

  9. Godfather,

So, what you are implying is that the ruling party has powers over the police force??? Arent the police force supposed to be an independent body?

Well…. as for your company, I think you should start by working rather than blogging during working hours. Accountability, right?

  10. Crime does not operate in a vacuum. Many factors interact to cause a surge in crime that have to be evaluated by a systems approach on the inter-relationships between disparity of income, displacement of traditional plantation labour from socio-economic policies, human trafficking and corruption that bear on the equation of foreign immigrants proliferating the landscape, corruption in general and policing the police etc all of which the government of the day is responsible for and in that sense the buck stops there….

  11. The ruling party has no powers over the police force ? When Mike Tyson lodges a police report, RPK gets summoned for an interview within 48 hours. When others lodge police reports against BN, the reports go into a black hole. Ronnie Liu has lodged a police report regarding the PM’s website. Tell me when you expect someone from Putrajaya to be interviewed on this matter.

Lastly, don’t lecture me about blogging during office hours. Do you know what time it is in Europe ?

  12. RealWorld:

I have made it my mission to ensure that the truth is spread far and wide. Clearly the mainstream press has been cowed into submission, and the other component parties have been cowed into submission by UMNO. No, the buck stops with me, and I will do everything in my power to ensure that my fellow citizens are well-informed and not cowed into voting for a bunch of thieves, cheats and liars.

  13. To RealWorld,
Yes the police force is supposed to be an independent body but do you think it is really INDEPENDENT?
You seem to be living in a dream world rather than the realworld.
Please do tell me if you think that the police, army, judiciary are all independent? Even if they really are independent, do you think that they are competent?
There is a position called Internal Security Minister. What use is that position if it only means an additional salary and nothing more.

  14. If you haven’t noticed, they put more patrol cars on the streets these days, but all these ‘makan-angin-drivers’ ever do is drive around in circles. The only time they stop, is to have their teh-tarik and their rokok. Once in awhile, they hit on the indon-gals in the area ………. while criminals are having a field day.

  15. Get real Real World! Our police force is NOT independent.

The IGP is there at the ‘pleasure’ of the Prime Minister, not the Agong. If the PM doesn’t like the IGP’s face, he’ll be gone within 24 hours!

Mike Tyson’s police report is one clear case that got the police force moving against Raja Petra Kamaruddin in under 48 hours, is one good example, no need to look further.

  16. I am a residents of Ipoh Timur which is about 8 km away from the murder scene of the hairstlyist and I regret to say that for the past one year I cannot spot a single police patrolling our area as what they did previously. I used to see police on motorcyle patrolling our area at least twice a day BUT there are no where to bee seen now. It looks like all the police at this area are either too high rank for patrol or all of them a sacked from the force. I have not seen them for about a year and it seems that they have a brand new police station and enjoying the new premises and facilities and forgotten their work.
The (2 cases) one rape case at a clinic and another the murder cum rape of the hairstlyist 2 days ago are both around this area (Ipoh Timur).

    Is this a coincidence?
Are the police enjoying their increased salary but cut work load?
Whom shall we balme for all this unhappy new?

  17. “The IGP is there at the ‘pleasure’ of the Prime Minister, not the Agong.” Jong

No, no….! The IGP is there to please the Prime Minister, more accurately put. The Agong is king. Everybody assumes he is always pleased even when he is not.

  18. PDRM lebih seronok menangkap para penulis blog yg pada hakikatnya menulis blog di laman yg private! Tangkap penunggang2 motosikal, walhal kereta2 besar yg tinted jalan sahaja…. priority hancur!

  19. Another very sad case happened….another rob-rape-murder…the same area…what is happening ?
Can you imagine if your age ends at 22 ? the future seems so bright…so many things she havent seen or tasted or experienced…
and suddenly her dignity and life snatched away by some lower than dirt rapist ?
Let us put ourselves in her shoe…then you can feel the trauma…do you want it to happen to your loved ones ???
This country really needs to implement harsher punishments la…
seriously…uncle lim please bring it to parliament…..

  20. Since DPM says that bodohland is an Islamic state, so why have they not done anything to catch and castrate these low life rapists? or are those morality police out there only to catch innocent people holding hands?
if these lowly scum rapists cant keep their pecker in their pants then it will be great to introduce to them the shredder.

  21. Our PDRM is too busy to want to fight street crimes. There is no money in it. Traffic offences are the poor man’s (read: poor policeman) bread and butter. They are not in the same league as those fighting commercial crime, vice and other organized crime. But street crimes like mugging and rape??

Perhaps it is time our women consider the age-old wisdom of walking around in chastity belts made of iron.

Egypt’s Grand Mufti Says Muslims Can Change Faith; ‘No Compulsion’ In Islam

    July 25, 2007 10:52 p.m. EST

    Manar Ammar – AHN

Cairo, Egypt (AHN) – Ali Gomaa, Egypt’s highest religious adviser said
Tuesday that Muslims have the right to change their religion, adding that
only God can judge them on Judgment Day. Gomaa also discussed women’s rights
and the meaning of jihad in Islam.

“The essential question before us is can a person who is Muslim choose a
religion other than Islam? The answer is yes, they can, because the Qur’an
says, ‘Unto you your religion, and unto me my religion,’ and, ‘Whosoever
will, let him believe, and whosoever will, let him disbelieve,’ and, ‘There
is no compulsion in religion. The right direction is distinct from error’,”
the grand mufti said in a posting on a Washington Post-Newsweek forum
    entitled On Faith.

The statement came a few weeks after an Egyptian court ruled that Copts who
converted to Islam and wish to return to their original faith would not be
allowed to state so on their official identification papers and would remain
Muslims on paper. The case is being appealed.

Gomaa also spoke about the true meaning of jihad in Islam, saying that there
are different types of jihad, quoting the Prophet Mohamed that the grand
jihad is between one and himself, the jihad of the soul.

“Here the term jihad refers to the spiritual exercise of opposing the lower
self. This is referred to as the greater jihad since people spend their
entire lives struggling against the base desires within them that can harm
both themselves and those around them,” he added.

I got this from a friend via email. Hope that this can solve the problem in our country. Thanks.

  23. hey the prime minister of malaysia

is this what you have envisioned for 2057??? is this your islam hadhari ??
dah la hilang entah berapa ratus hari belum pun 5 tahun in power dah jalan2 makan angin… your country is full of crime and corruption but NOTHING has been done! what is this cry work with me, not work for me?? you are so full of……

i am entitled to my opinion and i think this prime minister is the weakest PM Malaysia ever had.

  24. Not only we have more frequent occurence of crimes in the country, the nature of crimes are getting more and more horendous, ghastly, unbelieveable, the cruelty is beyond human imagination…sickly in most cases.

What is wrong with the Malaysian society as a whole now? Yes the Police will have to buck up in crime busting, but as we read, the crimes took place at unlikely places, and no witnesses are around or would come forward to testify.

  25. Castrate the rapists for the crimes ? Are you kidding me ? With the sort of investigative powers that the police have, and the prosecutive abilities of our DPPs, you think the rapists will ever be found guilty ?

Just look out for the cases against the 8 Muslims/Malays who have been charged with assault and rape in JB. Watch the prosecution, and watch the “quality” of the evidence that is presented in court.

  26. “Castrate the rapists for the crimes ?” Godfather

Believe me you do not want to have UMNO MPs walking about with that part of their anatomy missing. If ‘rape’ includes having sex with underaged girls, you can be sure many of these UMNO MPs would be doing just that.

Now, that is a human rights issue and Elizabeth Wong may have something to say about that – just as FGM (or ‘female genital mutilation’ is a human rights issue).

  27. Now we know why the pm spends 6 months out of every year overseas:- he feels much more secure under the protection of foreign policemen in foreign lands. He no longer trusts the capability of the local police to take care of his safety in this crime-ridden country.

  28. RealWorld:

Since you are an UMNO ball-carrier, let me enlighten you on why I brand your bosses a bunch of thieves, cheats and liars.

Your big boss, the Sleeping Beauty, talked about transparency, accountability and integrity. So he and his merry band of thieves were voted in with a 90+ pct majority. Since he came to power, was there anything that was “tendered” openly ? Was there anything that was evaluated transparently ? Instead, projects were awarded to cronies and most of them could not even take off, such is the incompetence, but that is another story. Projects that were given to GLCs like UEM World needed subcontractors. Who evaluated the list of subcontractors, and their prices ? To qualify, you must be on the list as dictated by the 4th floor boys. Gemilang, Cemerlang dan Terbilang ? Temberang.

This is clearly a breach of promise by BN.

The head of UMNO Wanita has been dishing out APs by the thousands. Why does one person get 70 pct of th APs. Even the niece of the minister got APs. Even the son of Mahathir got APs. Now, the AP is to all intents and purposes a tax – this has been the issue with AFTA. In every country that I have come across, taxes go to the state, but in Bolehland, it goes to individuals.

This is clearly a case of theft. It’s like giving select people – and virtually all of them are UMNOputras – the right to print money. Since we are the buyers of cars that have been taxed this way, I consider the people who charge us for the APs as thieves. In the same manner, certain UMNOputras were given the right to label cigarettes and liquor and introduce a levy on these products. [Imagine Islam Hadhari allowing the labelling of liquor as original by an UMNOputra!]

UMNO condones and abets these thieves. Theft’s a crime, in case you don’t know it.

A well-know Klang politician builds an 18-room mansion and plies his satay business illegally on state land. He was declared a bankrupt, and somehow manages to become a senator and assemblyman. Reports were made against him. Your big boss declared the accused to be a “good” man. To show support, your deputy UMNO Youth chief also paid him a well-publicised visit to show solidarity. To date, nothing has been done against this individual.

This is called abuse of power, and abetment in the abuse of power. This charge caused Anwar Ibrahim to go to jail.

At the most recent UMNO General Assembly, your Youth Chief Kerismuddin brandished the keris and warned the non-Malays not to test the resolve of the Malays. There was widespread support in UMNO with some calling for blood to be shed if necessary. Then Najib declares Bolehland to be an Islamic state, and promptly shuts the door for debate. Your Youth wing didn’t shut up, but instead warned the MCA to shut up. [Of course your lapdogs in MCA complied.]

This is clearly criminal intimidation. It even qualifies for sedition.

Then you have public facilities completed but proven to be unfit for use e.g. the new Courts Complex, certain hospitals, and even the renovations to the Parliament building.

This is clearly incompetence but no one has been held accountable for it. So let’s just spend even more money to correct the mistakes which no one has been held responsible.

Other instances of incompetence or even negligence: the “renovation” of a sports complex near London, the RM 1.1 billion motivational programme for students. Who, what, when and why were never answered.

UMNO accuses RPK of insulting Islam and the Agong. The theme has been carried ad nauseam by all the big guns. Your bosses have not furnished any proof. If you have the proof, take RPK to court. Don’t just parrot the accusation. Then answer all the accusations made by those without access to the mainstream press.

The country is in dire straits. Our public spending is way too high as a percentage of GDP. Yet we continue to announce mega projects, the latest of which is the North Corridor project. Right after the announcement for the Southern Johor Economic Region. The rakyat suffers from all sorts of price hikes when subsidies are taken away from them, not because we cannot afford them, but because we are diverting the funds for mega projects. Of course your big boss flunked statistics and he never got to do economics, so we must excuse him.

I will charge UMNO with dereliction of duty. The other component parties have been cowed into submission and are feeding off the scraps, so I will have to start with the big fish first.

RealWorld, please bring this message to your masters, get them to reply and do post their reply on this blog.

  29. Undergrad2:

I think we are all agreed that UMNO is subject to a totally different set of laws, so the question of castration for “many of these UMNO MPs” would not arise.

My position was that I do not have much faith in the abilities of the police and the AG’s chambers. There have been simply too many cases which have been thrown out for the lack of evidence. This emboldens criminals even further.

  30. The rapist cum murderer is probably a serial one. He will continue to terrorize the community until, if ever, he is caught. He is now living his low life in Ipoh. Hope the police force get smart, catch that bastard or bastards and pump 100 rounds of bullet into each of them. Why waste time taking them to court. Just settle the score as soon as possible.

  31. You cannot fool all of the people all of the time
Once upon a time there was a nice young man called Kailan. He used to sell caps for a living, and roam around several villages.
It was an afternoon in summer and he was traversing the vast plains when he felt tired and wanted to have a nap. He found a nice mango tree with lots of branches and cool shade, placed his bag of caps beside him and went to sleep.

Tired as he was, he was quickly fast asleep. When he woke up after a refreshing little nap, he found that there weren’t any caps in his bag! “Oh, Allah!”, he said to himself, “Did the thieves have to find me of all people?” But then he noticed that the mango tree was full of cute monkeys wearing colourful caps!

He yelled at the monkeys and they screamed back. He made faces at them and found the monkeys to be experts at that. He threw a stone at them and they showered him with raw mangoes.

“Ya Allah, how do I get my caps back,” he said. Frustrated, he took
off his own cap and slammed it on the ground. And lo, the stupid
monkeys threw their caps too! Smart Kailan didn’t waste a second,
he collected the caps and was on his way.

    50 Years later ….

Young Dollah, grandson of famous topiwala Kailan who was also
working hard at making $$$ doing his family business, was going through the same jungle. After a long walk he was very tired and found a nice
mango tree with lots of branches and cool shade. Dollah decided to
rest a while and very soon was fast asleep. A few hours later, when Dollah woke up, he realised that all the caps from his bag were gone!
Dollah started searching for the same and to his surprise found some monkeys sitting on mango tree wearing his caps. Dollah was
frustrated and didn’t know what to do. And then he remembered a story his grandfather proudly used to tell him.

“Yes!!!! I can fool these monkeys!!!”, said Dollah. “I’ll make them
imitate me and very soon I’ll get all my caps back!”

Dollah waved at the monkeys — the Monkeys waved at Dollah
Dollah blew his nose — the Monkeys blew their noses
Dollah started dancing — the Monkeys were also dancing
Dollah pulled his ears — the Monkeys pulled their ears
Dollah raised his hands — the Monkeys raised their hands
Dollah threw his cap on the ground ……… one of the monkeys jumped down from the tree, picked the cap, walked upto Dollah; slapped him and said “Dungu! Do you think ONLY YOU HAVE A GRANDFATHER???”

  32. The rapist cum murderers are most likely addicted to hard drugs such as meth. It shouldn’t be hard tracking these bastards and bring them to justice unless the rapist cum murderers are police officers themselves, I will not be surprise.

  33. I am staying just few blocks away from the crime scene. Not only that, my house was broken in two days in a row and guess what Mr policemen told me, “Apa boleh buat, kita orang tak cukup manpower”. What a terrible and shock to hear that. I am losing faith in police especially in Ipoh area. I love Ipoh so much and always proud of its security and slow pace lifestyle but now no more.

Please make Ipoh (as well as JB, KL, Penang, Klang) a better place to stay and live.

  34. izrafeil,

Turkey is becoming one of the real economic powerhouse, not with oil, in the Muslims world.

Many successful Muslims businessmen said ” from them creating real, permanent and rewarding work for their people is an act of daily prayer “.

  35. It is true that the greatest and most important jihad for a Muslim is within himself/herself.

But we have grossly misguided followers using jihad indiscrimately against non Muslims, for political or personal motives.

  36. Godfather,

What I am surprised is why is there no discussion on the issue of criminal aliens being the cause of the sharp increase in crimes – not just crimes against property but also crimes committed in the process of a theft and robbery like murder and rape.

  37. Look at how the Altantuya murder is proceeding. Murder is being legitimized for political reasons.

Sec. 27 and Sec. 8 of the Evidence Act have been interpreted in a convoluted way so as to shut out the incriminating evidence unfavorable to the defense. Why??

The outcome of this trial is obvious. The decision of the trial judge will be reversed hopefully upon appeal by the Court of Appeal especially with the latest decision by this Court with Chief Justice Sri Ram on the panel on another case – a landmark decision involving the ‘fruit of the poisonous tree’ under Sec. 27.

  38. It is no fun to see criminals getting loose on the street in my hometown.

If only the gov reads, in this case blogs, they would have known that months ago there are already words that the ‘big guns’ in the southern are moving their operation upwards and they should have take note on that. But as usual, they’re just as ignorance as they used to be. Probably being bribed to ‘close one eye’? And they are even talking about launching the Northern Corridor plan.

I hope that the plan does includes better governance and transparency.
I hope that citizens of Ipoh (or other northern states) would be cautious of their surroundings and take care of themselves.
I hope that there is a Spiderman in Malaysia.

  39. Organized crime doesn’t get involved in rapes and murders. Prostitution, drugs, fake goods – yes. Undergrad2 is right. We should have more of a discussion on how to tackle the fact that the violent crimes of murders and gang rapes are caused, in the case of the 8 accused in JB, by gangs of Indonesians mixed with locals.

  40. There are some politicians with power, authority and influence interfering/perverting the course of justice and nothing is being done to stop this and put them away for good.

There is always a backdoor for everything…….this indicates a weak and bad administration of the country.

With gross abuse of power, how is the government going to implement its policies fairly and effectively?

  41. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves with regard to the specific murder in Ipoh. It could be a crime of passion. You will all have read the case of the poor sod who bought an apartment in Mont Kiara, KL, only to find body parts in the fridge when he took vacant possession of the apartment. The suspect in police custody is the victim’s wife.

  42. “Lastly, don’t lecture me about blogging during office hours. Do you know what time it is in Europe ?” – Godfather

Hmmm … looking at time of your response, I believe it is office hours in Europe i.e. London. So, why dont you be accountable to your company and not blog during woking hours using your company computers??? Accountability – walk the talk, my man.

If you really want to spread the so-called evil doings of the ruling party, then come back to Msia, step up to the plate and do it instead of barking from far.

  43. ahkok1982,

I dont know what you are rambling on about over and over. You know, we have a democracy in Msia. If the rakyat thinks that the police is not independent and the ruling party is corrupt then come the GE they will let their votes speak.

So, lets wait for the next GE and the rakyat like us will decide. OK???

  44. RealWorld:

I was just throwing a red herring to see if you are an UMNO cybertrooper. Thankfully you are not; you are just a misguided UMNO loyalist. No, I am in Malaysia and I have been fighting the fight in your midst.

You kept on saying that there is no alternative to BN, no alternative to UMNO. Well, we shall see about that. We will show you that there is an alternative to lies, cheating and theft. We will show you that your boss has breached his previous election promise of a transparent, accountable government. We will show you that your party has committed criminal breach of intimidation when it condoned the waving of the keris threatening to spill blood. We will show you that your party has committed theft when it knowingly awards contracts worth multiples of what an infrastructure project would cost. We will show you that your party has abetted theft when it allowed APs to be given to cronies when taxes are supposed to be for the benefit of the country’s treasury.

We think that us monkey bloggers can run the country better than the UMNO clowns and crooks. If the electorate does not give us the chance, we will continue to soldier on, for the day will come when there is nothing left to steal.

  45. RealWorld,
You really harp a lot on election, people decide craps regardless of the topic discussed.

Despite murdering thousand of his own people, Saddam Hussein still got 100% votes during the ‘elections’. What happened during the US invasion? Iraqis didn’t even bother to defend the country.

  46. Let’s not compare Iraq with Bolehland. RealWorld’s point is that there is no alternative to the BN, no alternative to UMNO, and we should respect his opinion if he wants to continue supporting liars, cheats and thieves. We just have to make sure that we spread the truth about the lies, the cheating and the thefts to as many people as we can.

And that’s why the masters of RealWorld are trying to stop us with their concerted efforts. All at the expense of the rakyat’s wellbeing and security. In ball games, it’s called “taking the eye off the ball”.

  47. izrafeil,

I know of a few Muslim Copts who returned to their original faith, Christainity.

They could read Koran and understand its meaning. They said the religious conflicts in Middle East are solely caused by politicians.

  48. I hope for Mr. Lim to demand from PDRM the outcome of the investigation for the earlier rape/slash cases in JB and all other brutal crimes commited up to now..

    Has anybody ben detained?
    Has the criminals been apprehended?
Is the PDRM annoucing that crimes are not punisable in Malaysia?

    I demand to know.

  49. Godfather,

You are now in Malaysia, and not Europe??! Actually dude, which is which la? You are starting to sound below pathetic, going back and forth Europe & Malaysia thingy. I likened you to some washed up i.e. passed the sell by date half baked politician.

Anyway, your “accountability” thingy was good comic relief until you got found out and have to resort back to “I am actually in Msia etc etc”

Dont worry, you will together with the rest of us will have that opportunity to vote in the next GE (unless suddenly *spoof* … you are in Europe!) :)

  50. “You really harp a lot on election, people decide craps regardless of the topic discussed.” – hasilox

What do you mean by “people decide craps”? Are you insulting the rakyat voting rights?

As for Saddam Hussien & Iraq, yes Saddam killed ten of thousands but he kept the country in order. Since the invasion, do you know how many hundred of thousands died??? And is there order in the country??? I dont see you calling George Bush ? Tony Blair murderers???

“Iraqis didn’t even bother to defend the country.” – hasilox

Have been sleeping all this while?

  51. Today’s news in NST (31st July) front page – “The nation’s top cop said yesterday he was framed by his own men, resulting in him being investigated by the Anti-Corruption Agency.”The allegations against me were a frame-up by other policemen, and I am now issuing the warning to all policemen not to abuse their powers,” said Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Musa Hassan. Please see this link – http://www.nst.com.my/Current_News/NST/Tuesday/Frontpage/20070731071518/Article/index_html

For the record, I don’t have much doubt about what the IGP said or (up to now) any problem with his integrity.

Knowing the esprit de corp that normally prevails amongst those in uniformed services, which head of a service would say this of certain sections of his own men – in public – if he didn’t genuinely believe it was true – that he had been framed?

What I am worried about is this : if these people even dared to frame the top cop where do we the ordinary citizenry stand if we were taken in and framed? Would we get due process?

Secondly, how do we address the bludgeoning crime problem involving abduction rape etc when certain sections of law enforcement dare to even commit crime allegedly by way of framing even their own boss?

This ‘framing’ is a serious matter and getting out of hand and should convince even the IGP that the Independent Police Complaints and Misconduct Commission should be implemented fast.

  52. Hahaha….I have to keep your UMNO masters guessing. I may stand in the elections, I may not. I may be in the country, I may be out of the country. One thing for sure – I will vote for any opposition against your merry band of thieves.

  53. The leadership in all government departments is seriously divided – everyone wants power to acquire status, wealth and influence at all costs at the great expense of the country and her ordinary people.

Money/benefits were used to keep challenges and competing parties quiet to maintain control. But this type of leadership is most damaging to the proper administration of the country in the long run.

Decades of self serving and short sighted leadership had a permanent, long term and far reaching consequences on the country and her ordinary.

  54. RealWorld,
I am saying someone craps too much. Sorry, no price for guessing who.

Are you trying to tell me that the killing of Iraqis by Iraqis now is about defending the country? I don’t mind people sleeping. Just please don’t snore too much. It’s irritating.

  55. Ichk,

It very much depends on how Realworld defines real “democracy”. If real “democracy” is defined through his real narrow world as autocracy, despotism, tyranny or rather DEMOCRAZY, then that’s absolutely agreeable! We should thank God for allowing Realworld into our cyberworld to show us how the real UMNO world stinks. Hahaha…pardon the puns if you will.

  56. Could it be maybe the our police officers are addicted to rape and murder crime scene, they seems just couldn’t get enough of it. Our police force is guilty of not discharging their duties. IGP Musa must be held responsible for every lifes lost due to crime.

  57. Criminals in Malaysia are having a boom time now. The police force is incompetent, lazy, and got their priorities wrong. The justice system is screwed up with weak and incompetent prosecution, weak investigation. The judges are questionably rejecting incriminating evidences. No wonder foreign tourists are given travel advisories on Malaysia. Behind all these problems is BN who do not even know what to do, or rather do not want to do as they enjoy their luxury lives. The only hope Malaysia have is to change the government. Look at Japan, it’s not impossible. Vote BN out!!

Mad Taib, may I ask who is more dangerous to society– bloggers or a Youth leader of a political party, an exco member of a local authority, armed with a Beretta without a permit. The ACA detained him for a week before releasing him last Thursday. No Malaysian blogger had been found by police to be in possession of an unlicensed firearm, or suspected of being on the take and detained by the ACA.

Dont side step my question boy. You are saying Iraq is so much better now without Saddam??

Snoring while one sleep is ok. But sleeping when one is awake is beyond irritating.

  60. “We should thank God for allowing Realworld into our cyberworld to show us how the real UMNO world stinks. ” – takazawa

What has God gotta do with crime rate in Ipoh?? Dude, if you want to be smart, at least try to act the part.

    en cule :)

  61. Gone was the good Old Ipoh !-SIGH-..Ipoh Garden East is the vibrant part of Ipoh which offers a wide range of cuisine, shoppin’ spots and entertainments.

My heart bleeds to know the peaceful ‘Foodie paradise’ is now crime city in the making.

Seriously, since election is drawin’ near, the rulin’ party might use the deteriorating security in Ipoh to badmouth DAP in favour of ballots. Ipoh Timor and Barat need DAP, we’d enough of the incompetent police force and govn!

  62. In Indonesia, the only law and order is the street version of it. All scores are settled on the spot because the police are so corrupted and unreliable.

An Indonesian Christian family I know who waited for decades for their red IC has plans to return to Jakarta because he says, “It is no longer safe for him and his wife ( both chose Malaysia to retire after having served the Malaysian government and Petronas for more than three decades) to remain in Malaysia!” They have a son who is a computer programmer earning more than US$120k a year but have also chosen not to migrate to the U.S. because of the crime rate.

Imagine Indonesians consider Indonesia a lot safer place to stay than Malaysia!!

  63. I want to introduce my punishment for gang rape offender.
The 1st rapist will be punished with the present law.the 2nd until the last rapist will be sentenced to death penalty. If the sequence of the rapists can’t be determined, then all are sentenced to death penalty.
the victim has the absolute and final decision to identify the 1st rapist, though it may be wrong identification.
Reason:because the 2nd until the last rapists didn’t stop the 1st rapist, instead they follow him.
with this act, i believe many gang rape cases can be prevented.
