Blog cannot be viewed from Internet Explorer 7

TJY emailed to say that this blog cannot be viewed from Internet Explorer 7. There have been other complaints which seem to zero down to the same cause, such as the following from Shirley of UK:

“Still unable to access your blog. Managed to access the main page but only part of it. Even then unable to read as only the top of page is visible.”

Later Shirley emailed: “Internet Explorer was the problem. Problem solved when switched to Mozilla Firefox.”

Anyone with any ideas as to how the problem can be resolved with Internet Explorer 7?

  1. I use Mozilla Firefox ,so never had problems viewing this or any page. Anyway I switched to IE 6 to check on what you said and found that the page opens but am unable to scroll down or up.
Little wonder you have been having very few hits and comments these days.

  2. The data can be displayed when the source was saved as local file. Seems like incompatible Active Script problem.

To identify the code that caused the problem, remove all sections from the page. Insert the sections one by one and test the page after each insertion.

  3. When I use IE6, the blog pages are displayed very slowly. Scrolling also very slow.

Switching to Firefox [with Javascript disabled] – no problems at all.

I noticed that the problem started after the change in layour. Has someone been over eager with the Javascripts?

  4. Try use Mozilla Firefox as it’s better than Internet Explorer by Microsoft. It can be download free. Help to promote free open source software such as OpenOffice at http://www.openoffice.org and why risk being raided by BSA Malaysia and Ministry of Domestic Trade for using pirated copies of Microsoft Office.

I was wondering why Malaysian Government who has announced the usage of Open Source software in all government departments 3 years ago has failed to do so? Has Microsoft or Bill Gates has beenthrowing some free software to the schools that make our Govt stop using opensource?? Can any Ministry answer to this?
